00:12U.S. military launched fresh strikes on southern Iran, targeting missile launch sites and boats
00:18it says were attempting to place mines in the water. CENTCOM described the action as self-defense,
00:23taken to protect American troops from threats posed by Iranian forces.
00:27The target was near Bandar Abbas, a southern port city, home to one of Iran's most critical naval
00:34bases, and sitting directly on the Strait of Hormuz, the narrow waterway through which nearly
00:39a fifth of the world's oil passes every single day. Iranian state media confirmed it. Three
00:45explosions heard near Bandar Abbas airport, Iran's air defense systems activated. Similar sounds
00:51reported near Sirik and Jask in the Persian Gulf. The IRGC said it had already destroyed one hostile
00:56drone in the area before the strikes intensified. The region shook. But here is the part that makes
01:02this story almost impossible to believe. At the exact same moment those bombs were falling on
01:07Bandar Abbas, Iran's top negotiators were sitting in Doha, in Qatar, at the table, talking peace.
01:15Iran's chief negotiator, foreign minister, and central bank governor were all in Doha for talks
01:19with Qatar's prime minister, acting as a channel to the United States. Iran's foreign ministry said
01:25the talks had made some progress, but that a deal is not imminent. The discussions were focused on
01:29two things, the Strait of Hormuz, and Iran's stockpile of highly enriched uranium. And then,
01:35Trump made his position on that uranium very clear. Hours after the strikes, the American
01:40president posted a social media ultimatum. He said Iran's enriched uranium, what he called
01:44nuclear dust, must either be immediately handed over to the United States to be brought home and
01:49destroyed, or destroyed inside Iran itself with international witnesses present. No ambiguity,
01:54no diplomatic softening. Hand it over or watch it burn. And it gets more complicated.
01:59Trump also said he now wants Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Qatar, Pakistan, Egypt, Turkey, Bahrain,
02:05and Jordan to all sign the Abraham Accords, as part of any final Iran peace deal. He said he has
02:10already spoken to the leaders of those nations. But that demand runs directly into a wall.
02:14Saudi Arabia and Qatar have both said clearly they will never normalize ties with Israel unless an
02:19independent Palestinian state is created. The Abraham Accords have always been deeply unpopular
02:23across the Arab world, precisely because they fide-stepped the Palestinian question entirely.
02:27So, Trump is bombing Iran, demanding its uranium, and asking half the Arab world to sign a document
02:32many of them have already rejected. All while his negotiators are supposedly working toward peace
02:36in Doha. And Iran's response? The newly appointed hardline chief of Iran's Supreme National Security
02:42Council delivered his first public message to the Iranian people. He said simply,
02:46there will be no retreat. A fragile ceasefire that began on 8th 8th is now cracking under the
02:50weight of fresh strikes, maximalist demands, and political pressure from every direction.
02:54The Strait of Hormuz is not just a geographic chokepoint tonight. It is the chokepoint of an
02:58entire peace process. And right now, both sides are standing at its edge, with very different
03:03definitions of what peace actually means.
