00:33oh i get it i was like man i'm gonna get in trouble i wasn't trying for politics at all
00:37with that joke where did i go is it okay anyways all right bears vote whichever way they want to
00:43okay um is anybody here afraid of the dark like like legit um uh i think there are three types
00:51of
00:52people um possibly in the room right now right there's the people that say absolutely i'm afraid
00:59of the dark i don't mind admitting it dark is bad we don't like the dark um there's a second
01:04type of
01:04people um that are like i'm not afraid of the dark the dark doesn't bother me at all you know
01:09whatever
01:09and then there's a third type of people honestly i think they're mainly men who say dark nothing
01:14sasquatch could walk in when it's dark and i'd beat him with my bare hands and then you shut off
01:18the light and they go and they scream like a little girl i have no problem saying i'm probably
01:23the third and that's okay as long as i got a little light it's fine the being afraid of the
01:29dark is
01:29called nyctophobia um according to google i can't tell you i did anything smarter than google it was
01:37google uh 45 of children are afraid of the dark 29 to 50 of adults have nyctophobia or a fear
01:45of the
01:45dark and the definition of nyctophobia is it's an intense irrational fear of the dark
01:52when i was six um how many of you remember the movie of the week
01:57cbs or abc you guys remember that you guys front row is like i don't know what you're talking about
02:02can you stream the movie of the week yeah yeah it's before streaming you had three channels and
02:06you had to go up with the antennae anyways um so uh my favorite movie of all time is superman
02:11the
02:11movie and i know whatever disagree with me after church it's fine um but i love the superman movies
02:16it was amazing right well when i was about six they came out with super girl and it was made
02:22by the
02:22same people that did superman the movie and i mean the tagline literally reads it runs in the family
02:27and it was premiering on uh the saturday movie of the week and i was stoked you know you open
02:35the tv
02:35guidance like so you know after working really hard and begging and pleading and mom i know it comes on
02:41at eight and i know it gets off at 10 30 and churches the next morning and i'm six but
02:45please
02:45you know you don't understand the people that did superman she she's his cousin it's amazing
02:51so after begging and pleading you know my mom was like okay fine and they let me watch it
02:57something about supergirl the movie was different um i don't know if it was the bad guy or what but
03:02it
03:02freaked me out it was bad um and where i wasn't afraid of the dark before after that movie i
03:09had
03:10very very very very bad nictophobia i was like no dark i needed some type of light
03:14dark bad light good i don't care what it looks like dark bad like good and it lasted for years
03:20i
03:21mean i was just terrified of the dark why why was i so terrified of the dark i go to
03:27the bed i go to
03:28bed every night i loved my bedroom i you know i was one of those 80s kids that had all
03:31the cool toys
03:32and everything you know i loved hanging out in my bedroom even when i was in trouble and my mom
03:35was
03:36like you can't play with your toys and you can't read your books and you can't listen to your records
03:40which are round things that spin around with a needle on it and play stuff um you know even when
03:45that was the case i loved my room but for some reason when mom would put me to bed at
03:50night
03:50and she flicked off that little switch everything changed that room that i love so much that room that
03:57i wanted to be in all the time all of a sudden became my worst enemy it was freaky in
04:01there
04:02so my question was did my room change or did something in my room change see because i was
04:10sure that as soon as mom clicked off the light guess what happens whatever yeah don't talk about
04:16them right whatever was under my bed was real whatever was in my closet you know and there was
04:23i can't even tell you what was in my closet i was not a clean kid but you know what
04:26i mean like like
04:26whatever was in my closet all of a sudden they were real and that fear became irrational that fear
04:30became a fear of whatever was not there when the light was on came out when the light was off
04:36now
04:36there's the second part to that definition i read earlier uh the first part if you remember it's an
04:41intense irrational fear of the dark the second part is or of what cannot be seen in the dark and
04:48i think
04:48that's where i fit in wasn't so much the dark it's what can't you see in the dark people even
04:56christians let fear of the unknown take the place of their faith in god who knows it all
05:01see the darkness didn't scare me but the unknown did psalms 56 3 says when i'm afraid i put my
05:10trust
05:10in you hallelujah praise the lord memorize it put it to memory every time you have fear you should say
05:17when i am afraid i put my trust in you and that's how we want to be right however i
05:22think a more accurate
05:23description of what we go through is this when i am afraid the fear takes over and i forget
05:29to put my trust in you
05:34last week pastor mark talked to us about paul and his being imprisoned among other things in the sermon
05:39but that part of paul being in prison made me think of two things first of all paul was falsely
05:44accused right well he brought a gentile into a place he wasn't supposed to bring the gentile and
05:50that's a good excuse to arrest paul and put him in prison paul didn't do it but paul was going
05:56to
05:56go to jail for it we can relate to that a little bit but the second thing it brought to
06:01mind was the
06:02fact that paul was going to be arrested and agabus came and told paul god told me to tell you
06:10that
06:10when you go to jerusalem you are going to be arrested so paul walked into jerusalem knowing when i walk
06:16in there i'm going to jail he was prepared it wasn't a surprise he wasn't going oh where did this
06:23come from crazy i mean it's like he walked in going i know come on let's go put me in
06:29jail
06:32lots of people get falsely accused or targeted for doing what god told them to do wouldn't it be
06:38easier to deal with those things that you get targeted for if somebody came to you beforehand
06:42and said this is what's going to happen because you're following god this is what's going to
06:48happen just i'm just letting you know this is how you're going to have to deal with this
06:53but unfortunately we don't get warned
06:57i have a truth for you this morning and it's something that i really need you to understand
07:00is that when we get attacked even as christians that is 100 the devil attacking us
07:08going off track here a little bit i gave the same sermon earlier right this is my second time
07:14i even got mocked for it they're like andy you see that brown thing in the sky that's a sun
07:18i'm like yeah i know i'm a youth pastor you know i know i work in the dark a lot
07:23because it's night but
07:24i know and i gave the same sermon and i worked on this sermon all week you know i did
07:30study you know
07:30i had commentaries all over the place and logos was going and and i was just you know typing like
07:36mad and and this whole sermon about trusting god i'm there and i'm ready and then right after i
07:41finished the sermons first service not two minutes after i finished this service i walk out and somebody
07:48talks to me and somebody says something to me and you know what that one thing they said to me
07:53was
07:54that one little pinpoint that that that just it's been getting to me guess what happened right away
08:00that fear exploded that anxiety exploded and i went oh and i lost my breath and i had to sit
08:11down
08:11and i'm like oh and i know you know and it's not like anybody nobody said anything bad but it
08:16was the
08:17exact thing that i've been working on that satan knows that i've been working on that satan knows he
08:21can get to me with that was the exact thing that i heard that was the exact thing that i
08:25went oh
08:26oh man and i freaked out and i panicked
08:30and then i went downstairs and um you know i'm i'm working and god's like did you not hear anything
08:36i said at all anything you know what i didn't do i didn't trust god i didn't go god is
08:42this from you i
08:43didn't go god are you trying to tell me something i went oh it's the end of the world oh
08:47this is so
08:48terrible this is so bad i let fear win the devil attacks us and he's going to attack you right
08:56where
08:56he knows that he can get you he's evil he's crafty he wants to catch us and he wants to
09:02make us fear
09:02and often that fear is of the unknown so you lost a job okay are you scared of the fact
09:11that you lost
09:11the job or where's that next paycheck coming from how am i going to buy food how am i going
09:17to pay
09:17for rent what if i can't find another job it's that unknown what if your child gets sick
09:26okay we know what's going wrong but but we don't know if they're going to get over it we don't
09:29know
09:29if it's going to be something that we can move past what about the doctor bills how bad are they
09:33going to be what if they you know what if i have to take time off of work what if
09:37what if what if
09:38it's the unknown and instead of sitting back and going okay this is bad god we trust you
09:45we have fear of the unknown daniel trusted god even though daniel was faced with a huge unknown
09:56open with me if you have your bible or or if i think pastor mark calls it your electronic device
10:01whatever you have your bible on open with me to daniel chapter six we're going to start in verses
10:06one through four it says it pleased darius to set over the kingdom 120 satraps to be throughout the
10:12whole kingdom and over them three high officials of whom daniel was one of whom these satraps could
10:17give account so that the king might suffer no loss then this daniel became distinguished above all
10:22other high officials and satraps because an excellent spirit was in him and the king planned to
10:27set him over the whole kingdom then the high officials and the satraps sought to find ground for
10:32complaint against daniel with regard to the kingdom but they could find no ground for complaint
10:36or any fault because he was faithful and no error or fault was found in him okay we all know
10:42daniel
10:42right we we know who daniel is uh he got taken from his home when he was little uh he
10:49got brought
10:49to babylon and now daniel's older this is daniel's third ruler he already had nebuchadnezzar nebuchadnezzar
10:55sorry we call him nebuchadnezzar at youth group my apologies uh we so he already had nebuchadnezzar
11:01nebuchadnezzar's dead uh belshazar was the second ruler um the writing on the wall came daniel came
11:07and said yeah that's what this is what it means the persians and the medes came in they took him
11:12out and now the medes and the persians are running babylon and now daniel is in with the medes and
11:17the
11:17persians daniel is uh so darius is the leader darius is the third leader and darius is is is a
11:25different type of guy he's really smart and darius says listen this is how we're going to work this
11:29instead of me just like trying to govern everything i'm going to appoint 120 satraps
11:34which are regional rulers think of them like uh governors or or like a senate you know like you're
11:39representing this area you're representing this area you're representing this area i'm going to
11:43have 120 of these guys and they're going to represent everybody and they are going to come
11:47to me and i'm going to basically govern them right it's smart it's a really smart way to do things
11:52and one of those men was daniel and it kind of shows you who daniel was just the fact that
11:56he even got
11:57picked for this because daniel's an outsider daniel's the guy that they came in and yeah he was
12:01he was a leader already with with belshazzar and nebuchadnezzar right but the fact that daniel was
12:06this guy and darius saw fit to say you're so smart and you're so good at what you do that
12:12i want you to
12:13be one of my satraps one of my one of my rulers says says a lot about daniel so daniel's
12:19one of these
12:19guys and then daniel was so good and his reputation was so solid that he proved to be better and
12:27wiser
12:27than all the rest look at 6 3 again it said then this daniel became distinguished above all other
12:33high officials and satraps because an excellent spirit was with him and the king planned to set
12:38him over the whole kingdom daniel wasn't better because daniel was smarter daniel wasn't better
12:44because daniel uh uh you know was was better at navigating politics daniel was better because
12:50an excellent spirit was in him daniel was better because daniel followed god and because daniel
12:57followed god god led daniel the way daniel was supposed to go and because of that people saw that
13:02people put him in a position of leadership i want you to govern these people you're the type of guy
13:08i want
13:08in charge of these people but this caused jealousy with the other regional rulers who wanted to
13:14control the land and plan was formed to kill daniel kind of sounds like politics doesn't it it's all
13:21about power this guy's an outsider and he's in charge who why what you know because a lot of these
13:26satraps right were meds and persians they came with darius they were ready leaders they were built in
13:32so then this new guy comes in this new guy's in charge and all of a sudden he's a he's
13:36he's above
13:36everybody else and they go well who's this guy how does he rank i don't like that i should be
13:43number
13:43one not this guy so they plot to kill him look with me at verses five through nine these men
13:50uh then
13:51these men said we shall not find any ground for complaining against this daniel unless we find it
13:54in connection with the law of his god then these high officials and satraps came by agreement to the
13:59king and said to him oh darius live forever all the high officials of the kingdom the precepts and
14:05the satraps the counselors and the governors are agreed that the king should establish an ordinance
14:09and enforcement and enforce an injunction that whoever makes petition to any god or man for 30
14:15days except to you oh king shall be cast into the den of lions now oh king establish the injunction
14:20and
14:21sign the document so that it cannot be changed according to the law of the medes and the persians
14:25which cannot be revoked therefore king darius signed the document and the injunction they're smart
14:32the first thing they did was they went to darius and they used his pride against him
14:36hey don't you think it would be cool if for 30 days the only person that anybody worshipped or gave
14:44any type of you know kudo to it all was you just for 30 days you know you're new here
14:49you're kind of
14:49the new guy like really established dominance there is you go in and you set this law down most
14:55importantly though this is going to be a law that the medes and persians have and if you sign that
15:00document even as the king that cannot be changed that is set in stone so 30 days it's brilliant
15:08darius is like i like that i am darius you know he looks in the mirror and he's like you're
15:15a good
15:16looking guy darius thank you darius like this is darius and he they use that against him they use the
15:22law against him but most importantly and this is important read what it said there about daniel
15:27it said that we shall not find any ground for complaining against daniel unless we find it in
15:32connection with the law of his god he's such a good guy he's not going to break the rules so
15:39we can't
15:39catch him stealing or pilfering money from the fund or anything like that you know he's not doing anything
15:44wrong but daniel's one of those religious guys and he really likes his god and he really follows his god
15:50and that's how we're going to nail him we're going to nail him because we're going to go after his
15:54god
15:56and he's not going to turn against his god and then we get him
16:00so they make this rule he sets it in stone he he puts on his his seal and it's good
16:07to go
16:09the enemy will try his best to use your faith as a weapon to distract you from god
16:17i'm a christian i'm good to go i'm safe no the enemy knows that you're a christian the enemy says
16:22how can i use this against you how can i twist the words so that you you get distracted how
16:28can i make
16:28this into something that maybe you don't see matthew 4 5 and 6 then the devil took him to the
16:35holy city
16:36and set him on the pinnacle of the temple and said to him if you are the son of god
16:39throw yourself down
16:40for it is written he will command his angels concerning you and on their hands they will bear
16:44you up lest you strike your foot against a stone if you don't know what this is this is jesus
16:51being
16:51tempted in the wilderness for 40 days the son of god the author of the book satan uses scripture
16:58as a way to try to get jesus to fall
17:05psalms 91 11 and 12 is what he's quoting it says for he will command his angels concerning you
17:09to guard you up in all your ways on their hands they will bear you up lest you strike your
17:13foot
17:13against a stone satan knows exactly what he's doing if i'm going to get him i'm going to use his
17:19own
17:19words he you think if he's going to use that against jesus he's not going to use that against us
17:26take off your blinders he's absolutely going to do this but look how jesus responds
17:32matthew 4 7 jesus said to him again it is written you shall not put the lord your god to
17:37the test
17:39he didn't yell at him he didn't argue with him he said yes the bible does say that but you're
17:44twisting it let me tell you what the bible says correctly
17:50there's a reason this book is called a sword
17:55i hope i didn't need that bookmark later there's a reason this book is called a sword it's not like
18:00it
18:00was done on a stake it's not like you know when they were doing the armor of god they they
18:04had the
18:04helmet done and they had the they had the the shoes done and they had the shield done they're like
18:09well there's still that bible anything we didn't use yet the sword yeah yeah let's call it a sword
18:14that'll work what a great idea a sword is used not only for offense but it's also used for defense
18:24you need to use it you need to memorize you need when satan comes at you and satan's trying to
18:29use
18:29your faith against you you need to come prepared you need to have you need to have verses memorized
18:33where you go no you're saying this wrong you're trying to confuse me this is what the bible actually
18:37says when satan comes at you he's like oh you're afraid aren't you are you afraid are you scared
18:45even though i walk through the valley of the shadow of death i will fear no evil why because you
18:50are
18:50with me these men know what kind of a man daniel is they know that no matter what happens daniel's
18:59going to honor god and he has his whole life let me give you a couple examples when daniel uh
19:05with
19:05was first brought into babylon and they wanted him to eat all that junk food he ate uh correctly
19:10and after it was done it says at in daniel 1 17 through 20 asked for these four youths god
19:16gave
19:16them learning and skill and all literature and wisdom and daniel had understanding in all visions
19:21and dreams at the end of the time when the king had commanded that they should be brought in
19:25the chief of the eunuchs brought them before nebuchadnezzar and the king spoke with them and
19:30among them none was found like daniel hananiah mishael and azariah therefore they stood before the king
19:36and in every matter of wisdom and understanding about which the king inquired of them he found
19:40them 10 times better than all his magicians and enchanters and all that were in his kingdom
19:47they honored god daniel and his friends honored god and he honored them
19:52he gave daniel the ability to uh to to uh uh interpret dreams daniel 223 to you oh god of
19:59my
19:59fathers i give thanks and praise for you have given me wisdom and might and now have made known to
20:03me what
20:04we asked of you for you have made known to us the king's matter i love this he's in front
20:09of the
20:10king he's got the answer yeah king i know what your dream is no he says god gave me the
20:15answer thank
20:17you god i take no credit i give all glory and honor to you finally he he surrounded himself with
20:26like
20:26people that that lifted him up that that thought the same way he he did um this is shadrach meshach
20:31and
20:31abednego um uh in youth group we call them shadrach ago daniel 3 16 through 18 says shadrach meshach and
20:38abednego answered and said to the king oh nebuchadnezzar we have no need to answer you in this matter if
20:44this
20:44be so our god whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace and he will
20:49deliver us
20:49out of your hand oh king but if not be it known to you oh king that we will not
20:54serve your gods or
20:55worship the golden image you have set up our god's totally gonna gonna deliver us from this but guess
21:02what even if he doesn't i don't care i'm still not doing what you want because i'm going to honor
21:06my
21:07god daniel and his friends live by one rule and one rule only and this is what governed their life
21:12and that rule was this god over all amen when i was little i was taught priorities right do you
21:22have
21:23your priorities and check andy my mom always asked me andy where are your priorities andy where are your
21:26priorities right and it used to be mom i know but it's important god is always number one my priority
21:36list is god number one my wife number two my kids number three and it moves on from there that's
21:43the
21:43way it's got to be and a lot of people think that's crazy you're actually going to put god above
21:47your wife
21:48yes one thousand percent that's the way it needs to be does that mean that i wouldn't absolutely lay
21:54down my life and die for my wife or do whatever i need to do without a without a shadow
21:59of a doubt
22:01there's no person on the planet i love more but god has to come first daniel saw this daniel lived
22:08this
22:09this is how he moved forward daniel found out that justice is not served
22:17it go back to daniel 6 verses 10 through 15 says when daniel knew that the document had been signed
22:23he went to his house where he had windows in his upper chamber open to jerusalem he got down on
22:28his
22:28knees three times a day and prayed and gave thanks before his god as he had done previously then these
22:33men came by agreement and found daniel making petition and plea before his god and they came near
22:37and said before the king concerning the injunction oh king did you not sign an injunction that anyone who
22:43makes you petition to any god or man within 30 days except you oh king shall be cast into the
22:48den of
22:48lions stop for a second okay look how this opens up they want to make they want to make this
22:55perfectly
22:55clear daniel knew the law he wasn't going oh i didn't know you signed that my bad i'll stop no
23:05no
23:05it says he knew the law he knew what was signed he knew what was going to happen he knew
23:10the cost of
23:11what it would take still he says the first sentence was daniel knew the law and the second sentence was
23:17and he went home he went upstairs he got on his knees and he prayed to his god
23:25that's trust that's no matter what comes i don't care what comes i'm gonna worship my god
23:33and of course as soon as he gets on his knees as soon as he's looking outside the window as
23:37soon as
23:37he's praying what do they got you know they got you got your creepers there oh oh what's he doing
23:42up there oh he's praying he's praying we got him we got him and they run to the king hey
23:47yeah king
23:49funny thing tell me for my did you sign some piece of paper that says we can only worship you
23:54or
23:54something and the king's like uh yeah i sure did we got him keep going it says the king answered
24:03and
24:03said the thing stands fast according to the law of the medes and the persians which cannot be revoked
24:07then they answered and said before the king daniel who is one of the exiles from judah pays no
24:12attention to you oh king or the injunction you have signed but makes his petition three times a day
24:17then the king heard uh then the king when he heard these words was much distressed and set his mind
24:22to
24:22deliver daniel and he labored till the sun went down to rescue him stop they tried to go back to
24:29the
24:29pride route well daniel you know that guy you know the guy that you know he came in that you
24:34put in
24:34charge of stuff he's not doing what you told him to do and he's still worshiping his god but the
24:39king
24:40loved daniel the king saw honor in daniel the king saw that daniel was a good man and the king
24:44was upset
24:45the king's like i gotta find some way to get him out of this so that didn't work they kept
24:52going
24:53then these men came by agreement to the king and said to the king
24:57no oh king that is the law of the medes and the persians that no injunction or ordinance that the
25:01king establishes can be changed they waited for daniel they caught daniel and then they cornered
25:07the king because the king's got two options either the king breaks his own law which makes him look
25:12weak and if he looks weak as a new king guess what's going to happen people are going to run
25:16right over
25:16him or he takes a man that he knows and loves and that that he sees honor in and he
25:22sentences him to
25:23death there's no win for the king either here he was tricked into this yes his pride led him there
25:29but he was tricked into putting daniel in the lion's den and he has no choice so at this point
25:34the king has no choice but to sentence daniel to death
25:40when man but what the king didn't know is something that daniel didn't know and that is where man's just
25:46and often fails god's justice always will prevail let's finish this the story 16 through 27 says
25:54then the king commanded and daniel was brought and cast into the den of lions the king declared to
25:58daniel may your god whom you serve continually deliver you and a stone was brought and laid at
26:03the mouth of the den and the king sealed it with his own signet and with the signet of his
26:07lord's
26:07that nothing might be changed concerning daniel then the king went to his palace and spent the night
26:11fasting no diversions were brought to him and slept and sleep fled from him then at break of day the
26:17king arose and went in haste to the den of the lions as he came near to the den where
26:21daniel was
26:21he cried out in a tone of anguish the king declared to daniel oh daniel servant of the living god
26:27has
26:27your god whom you serve continually been able to deliver you from the lions then daniel said to the
26:32king oh king live forever my god sent his angel and shut the lion's mouth and they have not harmed
26:38me
26:38because i was found blameless before him and also before you oh king i have done no harm then the
26:44king was exceedingly glad and commanded that daniel be taken up out of the den so daniel was taken up
26:48out of the den and no harm was found in him because he had trusted in his god and the
26:53king commanded and
26:54those men who had maliciously accused daniel were brought and cast into the den of lions they their
26:59children and their wives and before they reached the bottom of the den the lions overpowered them
27:04and broke all their bones in pieces yeah i know right then king darius wrote to all the people's
27:11nations and languages that dwell on the earth peace be multiplied to you i make a decree that
27:15in all my royal dominion people are to tremble and fear before the god of daniel for he is the
27:19living
27:20god enduring forever his kingdom shall never be destroyed and his dominion shall be to the end
27:25he delivers and rescues he works signs and wonders in heaven and on earth he who has saved daniel from
27:31the power of the lions remember i asked you if you were afraid of the dark this is a picture
27:38of of
27:39what the line ignore the god salt thing i don't know why that's written on there but this is kind
27:45of a good a good idea what the lines then probably looked like it was a hole dug in the
27:49earth with a
27:50hole you know with with a opening and then they would drop you in and then they would they would
27:55close
27:55the top and there's no light in this place no light so so they drop you in and and and
28:04then
28:04they they cover up and it's dark and the lines that are in there these lines they starve these
28:10lions they're there for one reason and one reason only they're not pets they're there to destroy
28:14whoever gets dropped into this lion's den so imagine being put in this place and then and then it gets
28:20sealed up so it's all dark and then all you hear is the growling and you know it's just a
28:25matter of
28:25seconds before before the end that absolutely terrifies me this is what daniel had this is what
28:35daniel lived through
28:40the lions were starved there were man-eaters there was no hope there was only fear and death
28:46but daniel knew that god was in charge and daniel trusted god god saved daniel god sent an angel and
28:53god closed the mouths of the lions god showed that he was more powerful than the evil that was trying
29:00to kill daniel and i love that before he even puts him in man i really hope your god saves
29:06you daniel
29:08i'm like daniel i got you i'm praying for you dude like i hope he saves you and the king
29:12is in anguish
29:13all night he doesn't eat he fasts he doesn't sleep and the first thing in the morning he runs in

31:11these four people were were willing to lay it all on the line not because they were braver than

31:21not because they're like hey if i die who cares i like to suffer they did it for one reason

31:28reason only they did it because they trusted in their god and they knew that he was sovereign he was
31:32going to take care of him he was going to they trusted god with their freedom they trusted god
31:37with their friends and loved ones they trusted god with their very lives they trusted in god
31:45in circumstances that we can't even imagine so i want to ask you a question
31:54um where are you in the dark right now where is there no light

32:35for 40 years we all have these pinpoints uh where where satan can can can say that's where i can
32:40get them that's the weak point that's where i can take that little little snippet of fear
32:45and i could put it in there and it's just going to explode on them it's going to be fantastic
32:49that's how i'm going to mess with them it could be using your faith it could be using your
32:53family it could be using uh your your health who knows what it is but satan knows where he can

32:59you and that's where he's going to attack
33:07that that god right there that we see on the screen that's with us every day that when satan
33:14attacks and the fear explodes when satan comes at us and says i know how i can get you the
33:19same
33:19god that closed the mouth of the lions he's with us there the same god that was with shadrach
33:24meshach and abednego in the fiery furnace he's with us here the same god that was sitting with
33:28paul in jail he's with us here the same god that guided that rock to goliath's forehead
33:34and killed that giant is with us here
33:40and if he can stop them from burning in the furnace if he can stop the lions from eating them
33:44if he can stop if he can stop a giant when a kid's going after him with a rock
33:52why can't we trust him
33:58no matter what came daniel knew that god was in control
34:02he was in control then he's in control now
34:05so whatever dark is causing you doubt or fear
34:11tell it to go away
34:15it's simple
34:17but it's profound
34:19pick up your sword
34:20and tell it to go

34:26god did not give us a spirit of fear
34:30but we have to trust him
34:33will you trust him today

34:39father god i i thank you for
34:43being so real for us and i thank you for being the same god that was closing the mouth of
34:48the lions and and that that walks us through today and father i know that in my own life i
34:54struggle
34:55with with trusting you
34:58that i shouldn't that you've been so so real and so good to me for so long but yet still
35:03i i i i i simply just fail time after time you still lift me up you still forgive me
35:09you still stand by me and hold me when i need you to hold me father i just pray that
35:12whatever darkness we're going through right now whatever fear satan is trying to instill in us whatever he's trying to
35:18do to get us to stop trusting you and seeing you for the god that you are i pray that
35:22we tell it to go away i pray that we show satan who we serve and that that's you father
35:27that you are more powerful that you're mighty that there's nothing better than you father i pray that you you
35:34you you come into our lives in a way that we've never seen before father that you come into our
35:38country in a way that we've never seen before father
35:41father we honor you we praise you and we thank you in your name we pray amen
