One of 98 pangolins rescued by Malaysia’s Wildlife and National Parks Department following a raid on a house in Alor Setar in the northern state of Kedah, Peninsular Malaysia. The animals were released into a protected area. It is believed they were destined for export.

One man was arrested in connection with the case. If found guilty on all counts he has been charged with, he faces a maximum of 23 years in jail.
