Country singer and American patriot Neal McCoy reflects on the milestone of reciting the Pledge of Allegiance live every day to his followers for a decade -- a commitment he has maintained without missing a single day. The achievement coincided with McCoy's partnership with Allied Flag, America's premium manufacturer of 100% American-made flags. Together, they launched a limited-edition Premium American Flag celebrating unity, freedom, and shared American values as the nation approaches its 250th anniversary. The two-time Entertainer of the Year and multi-gold and platinum-selling country artist said the patriotic collaboration felt like a natural fit. He shared that the daily pledge tradition has become one of the most meaningful connections he has with fans. Through concerts, military visits, and community appearances, McCoy continues using music and patriotism to bring people together. As the anniversary approaches, McCoy says honoring the flag and remembering the values behind the pledge remain more important than ever.

00:00Howdy everybody, I'm Neal McCoy and you're watching Life Minute TV.
00:08Here we go.
00:10I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America.
00:14People that know me have kept up with my Pledge of Allegiance for the last 10 years.
00:19And they had reached out to Allied Flag and told them about me saying the Pledge of Allegiance every day,
00:23obviously to AFLAG.
00:24So we started working together and they said, we know you've got your 10 year anniversary pledge coming up.
00:28And they said, can we get involved, maybe print up something, a special edition, limited edition?
00:34I said, yeah, that'd be great.
00:35There's a flag in it, three by five American flag.
00:38And the boxes, this is kind of their, we all came up with it together, put what we wanted to
00:43have on there.
00:44And of course, you know, you've got to have me on there somewhere.
00:48So I want you to go to nealmccoy.com.
00:49And of course, we're going to autograph the boxes before we send them out to you.
00:53It was January 2016.
00:56And, and I had already been on a bunch of USO tours, entertain our troops.
01:00So, and getting hands on to be able to see them and shake hands and hug on them and love
01:04on them.
01:05When Republicans and the Democrats were fixing to start working on nominating their presidential candidate.
01:10Of course, and they were already starting in on it.
01:12And I thought, I told my wife, who I've been married to for 45 years.
01:15So, I just thought, I told my wife, I said, I'm going to go say the Pledge of Allegiance because
01:20everybody's already at each other.
01:22And I said, I just going to see what happens.
01:24So she said, okay, well, good luck with that.
01:26So I went and I said it.
01:27We got a few comments.
01:28People would write a few comments on there.
01:30And then I'd been into about two or three months and it started just getting a huge groundswell.
01:36For a while, we got up to, we were up to reaching over a million people a day.
01:42And we're having three or four hundred thousand views a day.
01:45So we've got over, we've got over a million followers now, which is a big deal for a guy that
01:49hadn't had a hit in about 25 years.
01:52And this is going to sound like a corny, hokey answer.
01:56I really like it when I'm just on my phone and I'm at my ranch or just somewhere alone because
02:02I'm with all these people.
02:03And they, they want your time, you know, and they deserve your time because they've been supporting for a long
02:09time.
02:09So then you're just going to find me right here on my phone at 10 a.m. Central Time.
02:12And we're going to say it all together.
02:14And it's and they love that.
02:16They really love that because they get so into it.
02:19Early when I started doing it, I was just doing it because I just want to show my allegiance to
02:23our flag in our country and just let people know,
02:26no matter who's in office or administration, I'm going to continue to love our country.
02:29It is something that I'm really proud of, very proud of.
02:33My granddad was in the World War.
02:35My dad served and I didn't serve, but I am serving.
02:38I didn't serve in the military, didn't have to do some of the things they go through.
02:42But I think I'm still serving my country and dang proud of going over and visiting these troops.
02:48And I can go over and sing to them and visit with them and just bring them a little bit
02:52of hope at Christmas time or at Thanksgiving when they're not able to come home.
02:57And so that's how I did it. And it's just it's some of the greatest moments of my life.
03:01And we have a foundation my wife and I started called the East Texas Angel Network.
03:04So children with life threatening, life challenging illnesses, them and their family with expenses.
03:09And we started it, my wife and I, 31 years ago.
03:12We're still heavily involved.
03:13Our daughter is executive director of it.
03:16And we have raised in 31 years over 15 million dollars.
