00:003, ignition
00:023, ignition
00:073, up the buff
00:14Fitchy downrange
00:29Booster Raptor, cheaper pressure nominal
00:36Alright, we are T plus 30 seconds
00:39into flight C and 33
00:41out of 33 Raptor 3 engines
00:43on Booster V3
00:45ascending over the gulf now
00:47coming up on maximum aerodynamic
00:49pressure
00:51Booster in ship, avionics power
00:53telemetry nominal
00:56Systems looking good
00:57we're just passing through the period
00:59of maximum dynamic pressure
01:05A little over a minute into flight now
01:10Vibrations chilling
01:11out here at
01:13Star Factory as we continue to watch
01:16Starship Flight 12 arc out
01:18over the gulf, the next major thing coming up
01:20is going to be hot staging
01:23Booster props
01:24reminder, we do what's
01:26our version of MECO
01:27most engines cut off, so we're going to shut down
01:29all but 5 of the Raptor
01:32engines on the booster
01:35and then after that happens
01:37we're going to ignite the six engines on ship while it is still attached
01:43we have clamps that hold the two together
01:46those are going to retract inside of that hot stage ring
01:49kind of protect them
01:52looks like we had one of the engines go out
01:55still flying on 32
01:57of the Raptor engines
01:59but again
01:59once we get the hot staging
02:01those six engines on the ship
02:03are going to ignite
02:05we're going to do it in a little bit different
02:07of a
02:08of a sequence
02:10on version 3
02:12essentially those three RVAC engines
02:14will ignite first
02:14almost immediately after
02:16just one of those central engines
02:18is going to ignite
02:19and that's going to give the booster
02:21a bit of a kick
02:22sending it in a known direction
02:24followed shortly after
02:26by the other two
02:32we're through MECO
02:33each separation
02:43there you go
02:44successful
02:44hot staging separation
02:49we are not seeing as many booster engines ignite
02:52as we expected for boost back
02:54but we are seeing six good engines lit on ship
02:58it looks like we just had an early boost back shutdown
03:01again a reminder
03:03the booster was planned to essentially head into the gulf
03:06for a splashdown
03:08but it has shut its engines down early on into boost back
03:16and we just see one of the RVAC
03:19so we're now running on five engines on ship
03:26we do have engine out capabilities
03:29so it's going to continue into its ascent
03:34you got booster on the left there
03:36ship on the right
03:39ship avionics power and telemetry nominal
03:41we are not planning on bringing the booster back
03:44for this flight
03:45as this was the very first time
03:55all right so about three minutes 50 seconds into today's flight
03:59just a reminder
04:00the ship planned to burn its engines
04:03for about eight minutes and change
04:07about eight minutes and 11 seconds
04:09was our planned timeline for today
04:11that could shift slightly
04:13as we do have one engine out
04:15running on one fewer RVACs
04:25again continuing to watch
04:27so booster did not complete its boost back burn
04:29we would not see all of the engines ignite
04:32that we expected
04:36yeah you can see the aft flap there
04:38making minor corrections
04:40starship is turning for final approach to landing site
04:43look at that turn
04:44there we go
04:45minor corrections and a full turn
04:50yeah starship doesn't fly like an airplane
04:53it's a lot more like a skydiver
04:55full belly flop on the way down
04:58using those flaps similar to arms
05:00to help change the path of the air over you
05:04coming up real soon
05:07again going for a landing burn
05:08and trying to light two of these raptor sea level engines
05:16landing burn startup
05:18landing burn startup
05:21two engines lit
05:28successful flip
05:35booey can't catch me
05:38good show time
05:43oh
05:57amazing
