00:00A crazy story that started this week, Joe.
00:02This wasn't something we were ready for.
00:04NASCAR sends a tweet out.
00:05We are saddened and heartbroken to share the news of the passing of Kyle Bush,
00:09a two-time cup champion and one of our sport's greatest and fiercest drivers.
00:13He was 41 years old, Joe.
00:15And if you didn't know about him here on the tour, Joe,
00:18hundreds of top tens, 395 combined, 63 wins and 35 pole positions here.
00:25Passes away.
00:25I hospitalized Wednesday and passes away the very next day, Joe.
00:30Devastating news on the NASCAR circuit.
00:34Donnie, 41 years old, you know, and you spend all those times on the track
00:41in one of the most dangerous sports that there is,
00:44driving around at 200 miles an hour, and 41 years old, you drop dead.
00:49It's just unfathomable.
00:52It really is.
00:52And it doesn't, I don't care what the reason is, what's going on.
00:56It's just an absolute devastating loss to NASCAR.
01:00I feel for his family.
01:02It's just unbelievable.
01:03It really was yesterday when this news came out.
01:07But it's just unfortunate.
01:09Guy was one of the best ever behind the wheel,
01:12and he is certainly going to be missed here.
01:14Yeah, and again, sometimes just the shocking nature of it,
01:18where it's like, okay, it probably doesn't feel well,
01:19just went to the hospital to get it checked out,
01:21or, hey, went to the hospital as an 82-year-old.
01:24Well, we understand how life works at that point.
01:26The older you get, it is what it is.
01:27But 41 years old, Joe, he just won a race.
01:31This isn't, hey, I retired, you know, in a 33-year-old,
01:35I'm just hanging out now, and I passed it.
01:37He just won a race, was in a simulator on Wednesday,
01:40and passes away on a Thursday.
01:43Like, the news comes out, and I know, like,
01:44I'm not a NASCAR fan, but I'm a sports fan.
01:46I understand, and you know some of the key players
01:48and the key names here.
01:49But you see, like, true NASCAR fans, like,
01:51I don't even know what I'm reading right now.
01:53Like, where did this come from?
01:5641 years old, Donnie.
01:57The guy was the all, I believe, right, all-time wins list,
02:02second most in the playoff in the chase area,
02:04won championships in 2019.
02:07And listen, at 41 years old, Donnie,
02:08he wasn't slowing down.
02:10This was, he was just getting it revved up here.
02:12I mean, it's just unbelievable.
02:15It really is.
02:17Listen, tomorrow is promised to none of us, Donnie.
02:19Maybe it's a good reminder that stop worrying
02:23about things you don't have
02:24and start appreciating the things you do.
02:27And again, like, racers, I mean, they are in it for life.
02:30Like, you take a look at just in the NASCAR Cup Series,
02:32reading those stats, 63 wins, 395 top 10s, and 35 polls.
02:35Like, oh, that's unbelievable.
02:37And then you take a look at NASCAR O'Reilly Auto Part Series career,
02:41102 wins and 267 top 10s and 70 polls.
02:45And it goes again, Craftsman Truck Series here,
02:48not just in the NASCARs and the Chevy Lumina's driving around the track,
02:5169 wins, 148 top 10s and 24 polls.
02:55Menard Series, you take a look at the East Korea.
02:57Like, this guy has been doing it for such a long time,
03:00ingrained and intertwined.
03:02And when you talk about NASCAR racing and he's just gone,
03:04and sometimes just too far,
03:05like I still remember the Daytona 500,
03:08Dale Earnhardt passing away.
03:10You know what I mean?
03:10It's just, it's superstars gone before their time.
03:13And this one wasn't even a track incident.
03:15You understand as a driver,
03:16you put that helmet on, you got in race,
03:18there are some things you can't control.
03:20This was one that we thought,
03:21oh my goodness, where did it come from?
03:23Sad times.
03:24Rest in peace, Kyle Busch.
