00:00All three of my children have taught me a lot.
00:02I feel like this generation
00:03is intelligent in a lot of ways
00:05that past generations haven't been.
00:07At least my kids are.
00:13I think every woman feels this pressure
00:16about who we're supposed to be,
00:17how we're supposed to look.
00:19It's more intense, I think,
00:21for people that are in the public eye.
00:23And the expectations are really high.
00:25But I think it's easier after 60
00:27because you start to realize
00:29that there's only X amount of time left.
00:31You do start to look inward.
00:33You have more integrity about who you are.
00:35You become more comfortable in your skin.
00:39The idea of self-care
00:41and nurturing and loving myself
00:43is what helps me feel beautiful.
00:45It's not a concept for other people to judge.
00:47It's for me to feel.
00:49And that, I think, has just made me
00:51more comfortable with who I am.
00:55All three of my children have taught me a lot.
00:58And just the process of being a mother,
01:00a parent, you know, parenting them.
01:02I've learned so much about myself.
01:03I feel like this generation
01:05is intelligent in a lot of ways
01:07that past generations haven't been.
01:09At least my kids are.
01:11So, learning how to apologize
01:13and understand what I could have done better.
01:16But it's interesting watching the evolution
01:18because now my kids are parents
01:19and they realize that they're going to be
01:21in the same situation as me.
01:23That they're not going to be perfect.
01:24There's no such thing as perfection.
01:26Non-judgment, I think, is something that's really
01:29my kids have helped me work on.
01:31To not expect them to be like me.
01:33That was a really big one.
01:36The idea of what it means to be a feminist now
01:39is so important and relevant,
01:41especially in America.
01:42Making sure that young women, in particular,
01:45know what the journey has been for women.
01:48I think that's important for us
01:50to pass on to future generations.
01:53The idea of supporting other women.
01:56Of trusting other women.
01:57And knowing that women deserve
01:59to be able to take care of themselves
02:02and be independent.
02:03For me, I don't want to surround my people
02:05with friends that are going to
02:08try to diminish me.
02:09I want people that are there to advocate for me.
02:12Lights on Women is just pure positivity.
02:15It's nothing but pure hoping for the ambition
02:20and success of another woman.
02:21It's so much positive energy
02:23and it is as we should always be.
02:27It's a great example of sisterhood.
02:30Of what it really means
02:31to be inspired by women and lifting them up.
02:35that I feel as though,
02:36I really like a lot of people
02:36I'm going to try and wait for them.
02:36But I have a happy day of time.
02:36And if I'm not trying to keep this
