00:00President Trump is turning up the heat on Cuba again, calling it a failed country and pledging
00:05that the U.S. will do something to make it right. They don't have electricity, they don't have
00:09money, they don't have really anything, they don't have food and we're going to help them along.
00:14Other presidents have looked at this for 50, 60 years doing something and it looks like I'll be
00:20the one that does it. He went on to say he wanted to help the Cuban people as well as
00:24Cuban Americans
00:25who want to be able to go back to visit family or loved ones. The president stopped short though
00:30of saying just what he's going to do to accomplish that. But maybe, just maybe, the last few days of
00:35geopolitical developments offer some clues. First, there was the DOJ indicting former Cuban President
00:40Raul Castro on Cuban independence day, no less. Then the president sent the USS Nimitz aircraft
00:46carrier strike group to the Caribbean, presumably to ratchet up pressure on Havana, though he denied
00:51that was the reason. With so much American firepower now spread throughout the globe,
00:56how much of what's going on in Cuba will impact what's going on in Iran? Well, President Trump
01:01is reportedly weighing options for restarting attacks on the Islamic Republic. Reports suggest
01:06those could start as soon as this weekend, but any planning was still in flux as of Thursday evening
01:11and perhaps trying to balance multiple conflicts on opposite sides of the globe may have something
01:15to do with it.
