00:00Pokemon Champions has launched to mixed reviews and all sorts of controversy from reports of
00:05performance issues to the removal of long-held competitive strategies. But arguably the most
00:11urgent issue is that it seems to be trapping some players' Pokemon in limbo. As reported by Kotaku,
00:16competitive Pokemon VGC player Justin Karras flagged the issue online, warning Pokemon
00:22Champions players of a massive bug with transferring Pokemon between Pokemon Home and
00:27Champions. Karras reports that he was trying to transfer Pokemon from the cloud-based storage over
00:32to the new PvP game when he received an error message. The message persisted across the Nintendo
00:37Switch and mobile versions of Pokemon Home, returning Karras to the home screen and indicating
00:42that the transfer hadn't gone through. The thing is, the transfer seems to have halted halfway through,
00:48as Karras was met with a message in Pokemon Home saying he can't trade Pokemon that are visiting
00:52Pokemon Champions. Karras adds that he got a separate error code when trying to move the
00:56Pokemon he tried transferring to Champions back to Scarlet and Violet. That error code doesn't appear
01:02when trying to move around Pokemon that weren't involved in the failed Pokemon transfer, reports
01:07Karras. We've reached out to the Pokemon Company for clarification, but in the meantime it's best
01:11to proceed with caution when transferring from Pokemon Home over to Champions, especially when
01:17dealing with your most treasured months.
