In an all-new story, Resident Evil follows Bryan (Austin Abrams), a medical courier who unwittingly finds himself in an action-packed, non-stop race for survival as one fateful, horrifying night collapses around him in chaos.

00:00Resident Evil is kind of the flagship for survival horror.
00:03Horror. It's not action.
00:05What I love about survival horror games and Resident Evil mostly is
00:09it's this overwhelming feeling of dread.
00:13Where it's like I have to go down this long dark passageway,
00:16I have two shotgun shells, I know there's a lot of shit in there waiting for me
00:20and it's all really bad, but I have to go.
00:23Fuck.
00:24So I had this idea for a story in the world of Resident Evil,
00:28but it's kind of like me like if I was dropped into a Resident Evil game,
00:30I'm terrible at guns. I wouldn't know how any of them work.
00:32I would miss 99% of all of my shots.
00:37God damn it.
00:38I love the games. I played the games.
00:39I don't know how many thousands of hours, but too many.
00:41This is an opportunity for me to be loyal to the games in spirit
00:46and in tone and build a story that just puts you in that scenario
00:50again and again and again with increasing stakes.
00:54Fuck. Stop.
