00:03I just want to highlight that we cannot have long-term health of humans and society without
00:14living systems and earth systems being able to reproduce life. This means there is a change in
00:22the way we see things. Rather than thinking that we are above nature, we should work with nature
00:29and feel part of nature. Our long-term health depends on the long-term health of the planet.
00:36And that, at the end, means that we will need to phase out fossil fuels, which is causing
00:42climate change and is causing very deep health problems. But also, we will need to restore
00:49the ecology of the planet. These are the two main actions that humanity needs to work on
00:56during the 21st century if longevity, thought as the reproduction of the living systems
01:03and society is to be achieved. Otherwise, with the current system of extractivism, of exploitation,
01:13we will end up not only with a sick planet, but actually with a catastrophic situation for humanity.
