Reports and online claims are circulating suggesting U.S. President Donald Trump made a dramatic statement involving Cuba, with phrases like “We’re freeing up Cuba” or “We’re freeing Cuba” trending across social media. Some posts also reference alleged legal developments involving Raúl Castro, though no official confirmation or credible legal record supports an indictment claim. This video explores the viral narrative, the background of U.S.–Cuba relations, and why such statements are gaining attention online. We break down fact vs speculation and the political context behind these claims.

00:00They have no electricity.
00:01They have no energy at all.
00:04But they do have great people.
00:05There are a lot of great people.
00:06I mean, I have so many Cuban friends in Miami,
00:09mostly in Miami and Florida.
00:11And they're unbelievable people.
00:13They're unbelievable entrepreneurs.
00:15And they'd like to go back.
00:17I think hopefully they're going to want to live here.
00:19But they want to go back.
00:21Maybe they'll invest.
00:22We'll see what happens.
00:23But we're freeing up Cuba.
00:25The Press Press, how much longer do you anticipate
00:28the embargo having to be in place on Cuba?
00:32The President, we'll see.
00:33We'll be announcing it pretty soon.
00:35The Press Press, President, should we expect
00:38any escalation here?
00:39Or should they expect anything?
00:41The President, yes.
00:42The President, no.
00:43No, you won't.
00:44There won't be escalation.
00:45I don't think there needs to be.
00:47Look, the place is falling apart.
00:50It's a mess.
00:51And they've sort of lost control.
00:55They've really lost control of Cuba.
01:02I don't want to say that.
01:04The Press Press, President, is on Capitol Hill today.
01:06He says that he doesn't think J.D. Vance has
01:09what it takes to come after you.
01:11What's your response to that?
01:12The President, who said that?
01:12The President, who said doesn't have what?
01:18The era of Trump ends with you and that J.D. Vance
01:21doesn't have what it takes to come after you.
01:24Well, look, we've done a lot, and J.D.'s very talented.
01:28He's a smart guy.
01:28He'll do very well if it's J.D.
01:31We have a lot of very talented people.
01:34So I think hopefully we're going to leave something
01:37that's going to be real easy to run.
01:39And we're doing a lot.
01:41We're doing a lot.
01:42And J.D.'s a very talented guy.
01:44The Press Press, President, do I have to respond?
01:47After you said yesterday you're about an hour away
01:49from making a decision, where does that stand today?
01:51Have you heard anything from them?
01:53The President, very right on the borderline, believe me.
01:57The President, if we don't get the right answers,
01:59it goes very quickly.
02:00We're all ready to go.
02:01We have to get the right answers.
02:03It would have to be a complete, 100 percent good answers.
02:06And if we do, we save a lot of time, energy, and lives,
02:11most importantly.
02:12How long will you leave?
02:14The President, could go very quickly.
02:16Or a few days.
02:17It could be a few days.
02:19But it could go very quickly.
02:21Iran is a defeated nation.
02:24We're dealing with some people.
02:25And we're dealing, actually, I must tell you,
02:27we're dealing with some very good people.
02:29We're dealing with people that are, I think,
02:30far more reasonable than the people
02:33that are really no longer with us.
02:35We're dealing with some people with talent,
02:37with good brain power.
02:41And we're pretty impressed by it.
02:42So hopefully those people will make a deal
02:44that's going to be great for everybody.
02:47But I don't know.
02:48I don't know.
02:49Do I get what?
02:50I never get tired.
02:52I never get tired.
02:53But what I like to do, if I can save war
02:57by waiting a couple of days,
02:58if I can save people being killed
03:01by waiting a couple of days,
03:03I think it's a great thing to do.
03:06Stephen Colbert's last show tomorrow night.
03:08What's your message to him,
03:09the late-night host Stephen Colbert?
03:11It's his last show after him,
03:12being such a short critic of yours.
03:14What's your message?
03:16I'll have a message at a later date.
03:20You're on Iran.
03:21Did the U.S. offer Iran oil sanctions relief
03:25during the peace talks as Iranian state media has reported?
03:29No, I haven't heard that.
03:31I'm not doing any relief until they sign an agreement.
03:35When they sign an agreement,
03:37we can get that place built up again
03:39and have something that's really a good country for the people.
03:43But no, we haven't offered anything.
03:45What's your message to American families
03:47who are scared by the rise of A.I.?
03:50They're worried that their kids
03:51are not going to be able to have jobs someday
03:52because A.I.
03:53No, I'll tell you.
03:54A.I. has been amazing
03:55because right now we have more jobs,
03:56more people working right now
03:58in the United States by far
04:00than we ever had before.
04:02And outside of the war,
04:03and I assumed the economy was going to go down,
04:06the stock market would go down 20, 25 percent.
04:09It's actually up.
04:10The stock market is higher now than it was
04:13before I started the Iran situation.
04:15And on the Iran, I had no choice
04:17because they were going to have a nuclear weapon.
04:18We're not going to give them a nuclear weapon.
04:20But that's going to end soon, one way or the other.
04:23Oil is going to come tumbling down.
04:25There's so much oil.
04:26We have 1,600 ships in the strait
04:29that are loaded up with oil
04:31that are going to be coming out very soon.
04:34So we'll have to see.
04:36But the military has been unbelievable.
04:38The blockade has been infallible.
04:41Not one ship has gotten through the blockade.
04:45Thirty-seven have tried.
04:46They all wish they didn't.
04:48Can you tell us about your call with Erdogan?
04:50Yeah, I had a very good call with President Erdogan.
04:54And pretty standard.
04:57We have a very good relationship.
04:59Isn't it nice that I have relationships
05:01with some very tough people?
05:03He's a tough guy.
05:05But I have a relationship with him that nobody else does.
05:09He's actually done a good job.
05:11He's been, you know, I think very much of an ally.
05:14Some people would doubt that.
05:15But I think he's been a great ally.
05:17And his people respect him.
05:19His people respect him a lot.
05:20His people are critical of your settlement over your IRS case
05:27about the tax now that you can't be prosecuted for tax.
05:29Well, what happened is I was suing IRS for a lot of different reasons.
05:34One of the reasons is they released my tax returns,
05:37which you're not allowed to do now.
05:38They showed I pay a lot of tax.
05:40I may even release my current returns
05:42because they show I pay a lot of money.
05:44but they're not supposed to do that there were lock boxes as president there were and they
05:49released them and a certain firm released them which was i guess a private firm but it released
05:55them to a lot of the fake news and the fake news went and you're just not allowed to do
06:00that and
06:01many other things happened so i released them from the lawsuit and i guess they made a settlement of
06:08some kind i wasn't involved in the settlement uh i could have been involved but i didn't choose to
06:12be uh so they made a settlement also the anti-weaponization uh of people i mean people
06:19were destroyed they went to jail their families were ruined they committed suicide you know all
06:25the biden administration and the obama administration both of them i mean the obama administration
06:31started it the biden administration was uh horrible in terms of what they've done to people is
06:36incredible and we're getting we're reimbursing those people for their legal fees and for their
06:42costs and for anybody involved but they destroyed people people committing i read the other day
06:48a person committed suicide over it they went you know it was the most violent thing i've ever seen
06:56in politics what they did and yet if i say oh let's look at this one or that one they
07:00say weaponization
07:01weaponization what they did in terms of weaponization will never be allowed to happen to this country
07:08again so we think that those people we think that anybody involved in that process should partake
07:14and you're talking about peanuts compared to the value it destroyed the lives of many many people
07:20thank you very much
