00:00Tous les Français sont toujours surpris de voir que vous parlez aussi bien français.
00:03Je comprends beaucoup de Français, mais je suis ici un jour, alors mon français n'est pas très très bien.
00:12Ok, so we should do it in English.
00:13I think better for the movie.
00:19Well, the way you say it, it sounds like a French name.
00:22Ok.
00:22Sigourney, yeah, it's much more poetic in French, like all names.
00:28Il ne s'agit pas de vengeance.
00:34Il s'agit de prévenir une nouvelle guerre.
00:38Mets ta ceinture.
00:41Alec Guinness.
00:42Tu ne peux pas gagner.
00:43Tu me terrasse.
00:45Je deviendrai bien plus puissant que tu ne pourrais jamais l'imaginer.
00:48John Lennon is the only one.
00:51I wrote John Lennon, the Beatle, when I was, I don't know, 12, 13.
00:56And I wrote him a long letter on purple stationery with purple ink, both sides.
01:04God knows what I said.
01:06I don't remember.
01:07I wasn't in love with him, but I really admired him.
01:10And in those days, no one really was into John.
01:13It was all Paul and George.
01:15And I left it at a restaurant that I read he liked.
01:20I don't know if he ever got it.
01:21I hope not.
01:22Because you never met him after, or do you?
01:24No, I never met him.
01:26I, he drove by me in, after his performance at the Hollywood Bowl, and they all waved at us.
01:34We were kind of walking home on the grass.
01:36So I had a tiny moment with him, but that's the only person I've actually written to.
01:44Mr. and Mrs. Fabulously healthy.
01:48Catherine, it's really not a good time to talk.
01:52I know.
01:53And I think Grogu is a scene stealer, for sure.
01:57I was enchanted by Grogu.
02:00I think it's hard not to be.
02:02He's wonderful in this story.
02:04You know, you see him really change and surprise you in a very touching way.
02:10But for me, what was fun was on the day when I was shooting, I was with Brendan Wayne in
02:16the armor.
02:18But Grogu, I didn't know this, but he has five different puppeteers, depending on what he's doing.
02:24And at the Oscars, when he was sitting in the audience, they were over on the side in five tuxedos,
02:29sort of.
02:30So they were all under the table.
02:32I didn't realize it.
02:33So between takes, Grogu would still be, you know, very alive.
02:41I never saw him turn into a puppet.
02:43He was always Grogu.
02:45That's why the movie is so wonderful.
02:46You don't need to have seen Star Wars movies to appreciate this kind of classical story of the lone hero
02:55and this little person that he decides to take under his wing and protect
03:01and who really does surprise us all, I think, in this story.
03:11I saw it along with everybody in 1977.
03:14I was working off, off-Broadway, not getting paid, doing strange new plays.
03:22So I enjoyed it very much.
03:24I found it a very fascinating world where all these different species of aliens got along.
03:30I ended up in a very different world where the alien is definitely the enemy,
03:36but you also find out that the people we work for is an enemy to the alien
03:42and to the people and to the workers.
03:45So I think that science fiction is a wonderful genre because there's room for all these interpretations.
03:52and it's why I think it continues to be such a strong player in the industry
03:58because people are fascinated about what it means to be a human being
04:02and what are our responsibilities to other species and to the universe
04:08and where are we going and what will it be like, all that stuff.
04:12I think it's very interesting.
04:14And my time is up.
04:15Well, merci beaucoup.
04:15Thank you so much.
04:16Thank you, Olivier.
04:24Thank you.
04:25Tu as peur.
04:26Tu devrais.
04:28Bien joué, bébé.
04:32Quelle est la voie ?
