00:00Scarlett Fu is also here with us. She has a roundup of deals in the world's richest and most profitable
00:05sports league.
00:06And on that front, there's been a lot of news, Scarlett.
00:08Absolutely. We're talking about the National Football League, of course.
00:11Fresh off drafting Fernando Mendoza with number one pick, the Las Vegas Raiders have a change within the ownership.
00:17According to people familiar with the matter, a group led by Silver Lake co-CEO Egon Durbin is buying a
00:2325% stake in the franchise.
00:25Now, other new owners include Michael Dell, Ari Emanuel, and Blackstone's Joe Burrata.
00:29The equity being sold is for minority investors and not Mark Davis, who inherited the team from his dad and
00:35remains the controlling owner.
00:36The deal values the Raiders at just under $10 billion.
00:40You'll recall that Davis moved the Raiders from Oakland to Vegas in 2020 and has been steadily selling pieces of
00:46the team,
00:46including to a group that includes former Patriots QB Tom Brady back in 2024.
00:51And then you've got the Washington Commanders.
00:54Bloomberg has learned that Blue Owl co-founder Doug Ostrover is unloading his remaining stake in the team.
00:59Three years after he first bought in, he is selling his stake back to the ownership group led by Josh
01:04Harris.
01:05Blue Owl has become kind of the face of anxiety around private credit with its leaders seeing their wealth decline
01:10as Blue Owl stock has plunged about 60% from its highs in January of 2025.
