00:00The danger of reform, as I said before, this dog whistle politics, this heightening of hatred, that's what it is,
00:09politics of hatred against immigrants and against illegal immigrants and the use of the mail and the sun and indeed
00:18the Times and the Telegraph, all of those papers who heighten it to such a degree where there isn't an
00:25element of humanity involved is deeply dangerous.
00:30We've now got people, ordinary working people, making statements, racist statements that they would never have dreamt of before because
00:39they have this fear factor which is constantly put down. Deal with illegal immigration, of course, but have an element
00:47of humanity in it.
00:48And I appeal to any British person looking at this programme, please keep away from reform because the Britain that
00:58we've become to love and who are respected throughout the world will change dramatically if they get in power.
01:05OK, I feel like in the last moment we've got, Isabel, just for the sake of balance, a quick last
01:11response from you.
01:12I say that it is this characterisation of people who are deeply concerned about the impact of uncontrolled immigration as
01:21racists that is why the other parties are hemorrhaging support, that is insulting to millions of decent, kind, ordinary British
01:31people who are not remotely racist.
01:33I never said that they were racist. I never said that they were racist, so don't put words in my
01:40mouth, I won't have that.
01:42You actually did, but anyway, carry on.
