00:25Okay, who wants to get us started?
00:33Good to get the win. It was obvious from minute one that we didn't at times have the energy and
00:40the intensity that we needed.
00:42We had it in patches, it was always going to be tough with the turnaround from the cup final.
00:46The physical and psychological low that that put on us, we knew that was going to be the case.
00:53I thought we played some really nice stuff in the first half. I thought we deserved the two goal lead
00:58when we got it.
00:59And then it was about when Spurs obviously showed more energy, they had more time to prepare for the game,
01:06more rest.
01:08You could tell that was coming and we just needed to dig in for the result like I thought we'd
01:12done well at the end.
01:12Was it a night that served as a reminder of the importance of Enzo, the importance of the club who
01:18keeps hold of him and just how significant a player he is for this team?
01:23Yeah, I thought Enzo was exceptional tonight. I thought his goal was brilliant. His assist as well, he's obviously made
01:29a massive impact.
01:30But I don't think there was anyone you could name on our team that didn't give absolutely everything to get
01:35the win.
01:36So I wouldn't want to single out one player. I thought the whole team, the subs came off the bench
01:40and gave energy when we needed it.
01:42I thought it was a real team performance.
01:45How important is it that you can play European football on the final day and potentially get to the Europa
01:50League?
01:51Yeah, I said it at the beginning of the game and we said it after the City game that we
01:55need to put that behind us.
01:56The cup final is gone. We need to try and win two games out of two. We've done one now
02:00and we've got to go again on Sunday and do that again.
02:02Do you think it's a big motivation now, feeling the boys that they want to make sure that they have
02:07something to show up on the team?
02:09I genuinely think that they've shown that. The results haven't been good enough recently.
02:15We know that everyone's spoken about that, but the fight and determination has been questioned at times
02:20and some of the performance, maybe that's right. But I don't think it's extra motivation.
02:24I think this group wants to win every single game of football and we just haven't been able to do
02:28that.
02:29But that will give us confidence. We haven't won in a while in the Premier League.
02:33We haven't won at the bridge in a while. So that's something to definitely to go off.
02:37Jack Tej.
02:39Michael, the atmosphere today was rocking and it's been a turbulent few weeks, you know, protests, different things going on
02:46at the club.
02:46Do you think that support from the fans today was sort of a sign that they can see the clubs
02:51maybe turning a corner and things are changing?
02:54Yeah, I'm not too sure on the details around that. I thought the atmosphere was exceptional tonight.
02:59I thought you could feel the energy. I thought it was exceptional at Wembley as well.
03:02And I think it always helps the team when we get that positive energy and it drives us on to
03:07do more.
03:08And there were lads that are out there tonight that were dead on their feet.
03:12But the crowd and the enthusiasm and the drive from the crowd drives them to just push a little bit
03:17extra.
03:17And I thought that was clear tonight.
03:24Yeah, so Levi has obviously come off the back of a very serious injury.
03:33So it was probably too quick of a turnaround from the cup final.
03:36So that one pretty much speaks for itself. So we didn't want to risk him.
03:39We couldn't afford to risk him tonight. But that would be expected.
03:43That would have been the plan from the beginning.
03:45Reece is the same. We had Reece on the bench tonight.
03:47But again, coming off the back of an injury, the turnaround from the City game,
03:51the type of game that the City game was, we didn't really want to risk him in that moment.
03:56Jao Pedro had a slight knock, nothing that we're massively concerned about.
03:59But again, with the quick turnaround from City, it just wasn't worth risking Jao Pedro in that moment.
04:04Are you expecting those threes will be colours available from the start on Saturday or is that a wait and
04:09see?
04:10It's definitely a wait and see. We've got a little bit of time from now until then.
04:13So we're hopeful, but we won't know that until the next couple of days unfold.
04:19Second round.
04:30I think Shimmy's had a great season. I've worked with him closely, so I know him really well.
04:35He's played a few times for the first team over the last two years.
04:38He's definitely more than capable to play senior football.
04:41We've also got two really good centre forwards in the first team,
04:44in Jao Pedro and Jao Pedro and Liam Delap and Mark Gay as well.
04:49So there's competition for places.
04:51We've got a few injuries, so it gave Shim the opportunity.
04:54Probably would have expected it a bit earlier, I imagine, in his development.
04:58But we all know Shim's potential at the club,
05:00and we're really excited about how that's going to unfold in the next couple of years.
05:05OK, thanks guys.
05:06Cheers guys.
