00:00A couple of pathetic wannabe influencers were arrested in Japan on Monday
00:04after they broke into a zoo enclosure where the monkey Punch lives.
00:09If you don't know about Punch the Monkey, let me warn you, his story is an emotional rollercoaster.
00:15First, Punch the Monkey is actually internet famous,
00:18unlike these two absolute idiots who disrespectfully broke into his enclosure.
00:23Punch tugged on our collective heartstrings as a little baby who was bullied and ostracized
00:28by his fellow primates at the Ishikawa City Zoo.
00:32The videos made me cry, they're going to make you cry if you haven't seen them.
00:35But then the staff got him a stuffed orangutan from Ikea who became his comfort stuffy
00:40and bam, the internet exploded.
00:43Anyway, Punch is doing much better these days.
00:45He has a girlfriend and he seems to be part of the larger monkey crew now.
00:49But there is a price to fame and for Punch, it's two morons from right here in the US of
00:55A,
00:55one of whom dressed up in some big, dumb emoji costume associated with cryptocurrency
01:00before climbing into the monkey exhibit.
01:03These poor, innocent creatures must have been so scared at this absurd thing coming at them.
01:09Reed Janai Dason, a 24-year-old college student and 27-year-old Neil Jabari Dwan,
01:15who fancies himself a singer or something,
01:17they were nabbed by Japanese cops in the Tokyo suburbs after the incident.
01:21Now, social media accounts show these two tourists showing off their travels,
01:25fancy watches at cards, stacks of money as they try to promote their online content,
01:31which is cringe.
01:34I highly discourage you from checking it out for two reasons.
01:37One, it is honestly not worth it.
01:39And two, I don't want them to be given the satisfaction of thinking their brainless stunt works.
