00:11whether they took the correct precautions whether they had the you know the necessary
00:17planning that's yet to be determined and uh we believe that the retrieval of the bodies will
00:21itself reveal a lot not as far as that part of the the investigation is concerned but uh that
00:28doesn't take from the fact that cave diving in itself is very very dangerous
00:47it's actually a very very challenging dive uh you know number one because of the depth number two
00:54because of the actual terrain because uh that specific uh channel uh has strong currents strong
01:01down drafts i'm told and the conditions down there uh the visibility for example once you
01:08enter the cave would be almost zero uh that's what we're being told
01:16while they had a permit uh there was certain there are certain uh uh no uh certain gaps in the
01:23research proposal uh because we didn't know a that they were diving into cave we didn't know the exact
01:29location they were diving and at least two of the three who sadly lost their lives was not on the
01:35list of uh researchers that they had uh submitted to us so we didn't know they were part of the
01:42expedition
01:43as well so uh all these factors have been reviewed uh it's a joint effort and uh we we sincerely
01:53thank
01:53everyone who's been supporting us and and we hope we can bring closure now uh to the families of the
02:00grieving uh uh in italy and of course uh our colleagues from the mondes as well
02:10uh this is unfortunate uh and not only unfortunate it's very tragic that this happened but uh that
02:16distinction between technical diving and of course recreational diving for all our for our millions of
02:23visitors is very different so uh i would highly recommend everyone to you know to to not only visit us
02:29but also uh to uh you know to go diving because there's so the beauty of the maldives isn't only
02:36on the surface it's also underwater
