00:00What did Pep Guardiola bring to the Premier League and how do you think he's changed?
00:08He's brought a different style of football to the Premier League.
00:12Everyone said when he came, that can't be done.
00:16You can't play like this and that and this sort of football and blah, blah, blah.
00:20It needs to be this, it needs to be that.
00:22And he showed that it can be done.
00:24It takes time.
00:26He can't just do it straight away in the first season, but it took time and you see what he's
00:30getting out of his players.
00:32But not just that, integrating new players, new players and really making strides forward where a lot of teams are
00:41now wanting to play like Pep Guardiola.
00:43A lot of managers want to play the Pep way.
00:47So, yeah, he's brought a lot of excitement, a lot of goals, a lot of, yeah, a lot of points,
00:56you know, the highest points, the highest goals.
00:59So he's done some fantastic job.
01:01Exactly.
01:02And he changed the academy system as well.
01:04I mean, I remember when he first came in, a lot of it was, we want the big players, this
01:09is what we want.
01:10And then Pep, no, we want the technical players.
01:13So all of a sudden it went from 6'2", 12-year-olds to absolutely really technical.
01:18Well, you then start to have coaches that have to actually, no disrespect to them, coach.
01:24And figure out how do we get these technical players, where do we, what are the systems we need to
01:29play to really get the best out of these technical players.
01:32So he thought outside the box, because he's been doing that in Spain for how long, so, and grew up
01:37in that environment.
