In this video, I show you how to fix Windows Update when it gets stuck or frozen checking for updates using the CMD method. Follow these simple steps to repair your system:
1. Open the Windows search bar, type "CMD", right-click on Command Prompt and select "Run as administrator".
2. In the black console, type the command "net stop wuauserv" and press Enter to stop the update service (if it says it was not started, it's already off).
3. Open File Explorer and go to Local Disk C: -> Windows -> SoftwareDistribution.
4. Select all the files inside the SoftwareDistribution folder and delete them completely to clear the corrupted cache.
5. Go back to the CMD console, type the command "net start wuauserv" and press Enter to start the service again.
6. Open Windows Update and click on "Check for updates". The system will now work perfectly!
