00:00The Western Conference Finals starts tonight.
00:02I mean, I am really, this, a lot of people are talking about this is the finals.
00:07I don't want to disrespect the Knicks.
00:09I think, I mean, the Knicks, I mean, I don't care who you're playing, Clint Tyler.
00:13You got somebody down 60 in a closeout game on the road.
00:18I'm sorry.
00:20And then you turn back around in the very next series, sweep.
00:24A team that beat the Celtics, who a lot of people thought were the best team in the East once
00:30they got Tatum back.
00:31No, they swept and beat them by 40 plus in the, or up by 40 plus in a closeout game.
00:38So I don't necessarily want to disrespect the Knicks, but it feels like the Spurs, it feels like OKC is
00:46the best team.
00:47And it has felt like for a while, the Spurs are the only team that can maybe get them.
00:51And they are a, and this may show up later potentially in T-Mills' best bets,
00:57but they are a six and a half point favorite tonight over the Spurs in OKC.
01:04And this is, this is interesting.
01:07713-572-416, YouTube and Twitch, you can jump in.
01:10Do you think the Spurs have a real chance to beat the Thunder in this series?
01:14Now, they played five times in the regular season, and the Spurs won four of five.
01:22And including, they won 117-102, they beat them 130-110.
01:29They had, they had three double-digit wins of the four.
01:35But a lot of people are like, all right, that's the regular season.
01:38That's the regular season.
01:39Do you think the Spurs have a real shot to win this series?
01:43Absolutely.
01:45Absolutely.
01:45Look, I think the one thing that sticks out about Oklahoma City, other than the MVP, obviously,
01:50which a lot of people question that just because of the style of play and the free throw line
01:53and all that kind of job, but is their depth.
01:56And I think the Spurs, they're not as deep, obviously.
02:00I don't think anybody is that's in the playoffs.
02:02They're not as deep, but they do have really, really good quality depth
02:07that's playing at a high level and seems to be matching the intensity on the floor every single night.
02:12And so, I think, one, I think the Spurs can run with them from a depth perspective better than anybody
02:18else.
02:18We'll see if they actually can.
02:20The other thing, Ron, I was going to ask you this earlier.
02:22I'm glad you brought it up in this segment.
02:24There's something about, this is just ignorant me, man, ignorant NBA basketball me.
02:30There's something that really piques my interest about Wimby roaming the paint
02:35and SGA being the guy that likes that mid-range, likes to penetrate and jump.
02:41You know what I mean?
02:42Like, there's something.
02:43Can he alter SGA's game in a way that it changes the series?
02:49Yeah.
02:49We'll see if guys like Chet can occupy him.
02:52Sure.
02:53But, yeah, I mean, the Spurs' defense is so good.
02:57They know exactly how to work with him, behind him.
03:00Yeah.
03:01And they'll probably put Castle on him, who is a really, really good defender.
03:04And, yeah, Wimby, because Wimby, obviously, with his size, he covers as much ground as anybody.
03:13You may think he's out of the picture to get a block, but not even just a block,
03:18just to affect the shot, like even jump shots, he can get.
03:25That's the key to me is just watching them play and watching the Rockets and the Spurs this year
03:31getting frustrated with them and kind of watching how Wimby changed the paint
03:35and even the willingness for some guys to go in there.
03:38I can't help but think that SGA's game, stylistically, he likes to get in that mid-range,
03:44short jumper game, and Wimby clearly has the ability.
03:51To your point, I don't know what the guys around him are going to do
03:53and what their plan off of is going to be, but Wimby clearly has the ability like no other
03:57to go out there and affect those jumpers and affect that game stylistically.
04:02So those are the two reasons for me.
04:05I think from a depth and just an ability to run and go and keep up with,
04:09I think San Antonio has a chance to do that better than anybody else,
04:12has a better chance to do it than anybody else,
04:14and then just Wimby's existence versus a guy that likes to play in that mid- to short-range game
04:19I think is going to really be a series definer one way or another.
04:25I think there's a chance the Spurs could get them early.
04:30There's been a lot of, especially in that Lakers series, if you look at it,
04:36it was a sweep and the final scores of the games were rough,
04:42but there was a lot of flipping the switch in the middle of the game by OKC
04:46where they would just kind of play and run with it.
04:49The Lakers led at the half in multiple games of that series
04:52and had third-quarter leads, had fourth-quarter leads,
04:56and then somewhere in the game there would be a big, there was a 20-4 run with SGA on
05:03the bench
05:04in one of them.
05:05There's a big, boy, I don't know if they can just flip the switch against the Spurs like that.
05:11Just play, just look like, I think they have to bring it in this series.
05:17They have looked untouchable right now, but I think they're taking a big step up
05:22in competition and got to roll through it.
05:24Champ Slice said OKC wins the series, but it will not be a dog walk.
05:29No, I don't.
05:30This feels like it's going six or later.
05:34I don't see a sweep.
05:36It feels like to steal it from O'Reilly is a de facto championship.
05:40It does.
05:41I'll tell you the Knicks, though.
05:43Honestly, what they look like against the Cavs.
05:45Somebody texted and said, you mean disrespect the Cavs, Ron?
05:48No, I mean the Knicks.
05:49Listen, I'm going for James.
05:51Sorry, Tyler.
05:51I'm pulling for James.
05:54He was 2-for-10 last night, but he had a really good floor game.
05:58But I'm pulling for James.
05:59I want to see James.
06:01It looks like one of them on a box score.
06:03I didn't watch a game.
06:04It looked like one of them old Rockets games.
06:05You had a game seven.
06:06You take ten shots.
06:07I'll be honest with you.
06:08Well, listen, they were up by 30.
06:10Yeah, they were blowing up.
06:13I caught there.
06:14Eight minutes left in the third, and he had five shots.
06:17But they were up, so it was like you can't bitch about it.
06:19I mean, this was like Donovan Mitchell's their best player, and he had it rolling.
06:24And so James was just giving him the ball.
06:26You should get the hell out of the way.
06:27I mean, everybody.
06:28Him.
06:29I mean, it was ridiculous.
06:31So that one made more sense.
06:35No, listen.
06:37James Harden in the finals helps our show.
06:42Ferguson.
06:43Ferguson.
06:43Yes.
06:44James Harden in the finals helps us.
06:47I don't know that that's going to happen.
06:48But that helps us.
06:50Oh, James.
06:50That helps.
06:51That will help us on the show.
06:54So I'm going for him.
06:55I just don't think it is going to happen.
