00:00I'm on strike at Carlos Jr. because my co-workers and I have experienced chronic understaffing,
00:04lack of proper cooking and cleaning supplies, and inadequate personal protective equipment.
00:17We're also required to work off the clock without our legally required breaks,
00:22which workers have fought for here in California.
00:25Some of us here have worked for years and didn't realize Carlos Jr. was violating the law
00:29and our rights until we joined the union.
00:32What we've endured over the past three years have been humiliating, painful, and a danger
00:36to our health and our customers.
00:37We can't keep working with broken brooms, dirty mobs, and spread around germs.
00:41It's so bad here that there isn't proper disinfectant being stocked at the store, let alone food products.
00:46When we were asked for these supplies, we've been ignored, dismissed, and given empty promises,
00:50and then our hours have been cut without warning and explanation.
00:54Los trabajadores unidos, amantes, amantes, amantes, amantes, amantes, amantes, amantes.
01:10Carlos Jr. obeyed the law, fixed the problem.
