00:00Twins in the 90s were a very big thing.
00:02So now we're with Isabelle and Nikki,
00:04and they are our 90s twins.
00:06They're set in 1999.
00:07To develop these twins, we got to do a lot of fun things.
00:12The staff got to go into their parents' basements
00:15and pull out photographs and old toys,
00:18and we would brainstorm together
00:20and kind of list things that we enjoyed playing with,
00:22the things we used to eat,
00:23the things we used to remember about the 90s.
00:26For example, I pulled out today,
00:27this is my diary from around the year 1999,
00:30and I will not read you pages because it is embarrassing.
00:34And then we also got to go through our old catalogs,
00:36which really started to inform the look of their product line.
00:39There are some outfits here that we,
00:41you can see we recreated from the 90s catalogs.
00:45Twins in the 90s were a very big thing,
00:47and they tended to have like mix-and-match wardrobes.
00:50So we wanted them to each have a unique style,
00:52but to have sort of a common thread.
00:55As you can see, we used the same fabric on the skirt,
00:58and the shirt here is like an actual cable knit sweater.
01:03She has buttons.
01:04There's embroidery.
01:06We really want to make sure these are just like miniature clothes.
01:09These were grin pins,
01:10which were something that was very popular in the 90s.
01:13We have the little Book It pin and all the fun little Pizza Hut details.
01:18The cup here has, you know, that little texture that the Pizza Hut cups had.
01:23The butterfly clips, iconic.
01:25Another 90s staple for sure.
01:27These two looks for Nikki and Isabel are part of a story
01:30where they're celebrating the turn of the century, the year 2000.
01:34So we had these original looks in our catalogs around the same time.
01:39And so we recreated those looks so that our nostalgic fans would be like,
01:43Oh my gosh, those are what I had.
01:45And I can also give that to my daughter.
01:46You just said,
01:46I'll see you next time.
