00:05to grow deeper in the Word of God.
00:08I know we all do, so let us just dive into the text.
00:12If I had a title for today's message, I would call it,
00:17If You Seek Him, You Will Find Him.
00:24Oh my, this text is a great comfort right here.
00:27Because many people wonder if God is hearing their prayers or not.
00:31Some people wonder why God seems to be so silent.
00:34What if the problem isn't that God is silent?
00:39What if the problem is that we are distracted and are seeking and searching of Him?
00:46Our text today tells us exactly how God responds to persistent pursuit of Him.
00:54This is not complicated at all, but it is costly.
00:58Let us dive into the text.
01:00And ye shall seek me and find me when ye shall search for me with all your heart.
01:08That right there is a mercy God gives us.
01:11He don't deserve to be found by any of us sinners, but He wants to be accessible unto us.
01:18Our God is a divine God, but He's divinely accessible.
01:24He's divinely responsive unto us.
01:28This text right here is telling us that God is consistently willing to meet us.
01:34And He guarantees a response.
01:37When we seek Him with all our hearts, God says, I guarantee you I will show up.
01:41Oh, I have a promise in you that I will show up when you seek for me with all your
01:48heart.
01:48There's a timing situation.
01:50The time is when I see your whole heart all in on it.
01:53This text promises us that our God is not distant.
01:56He's not silent.
01:57He's not unreachable.
01:59He's not hiding from us.
02:01I don't know where He is.
02:02Our God is discoverable by us.
02:05He's able to be discovered and He's wanting to be found.
02:10He guarantees He will be discovered if He saw.
02:15Now, this text also gives us something about the mind of God.
02:19What does God respond to?
02:21God responds to wholehearted faith.
02:26Now, what is wholehearted faith?
02:27Wholehearted faith is undivided devotion towards God.
02:32It is pursuing Him sincerely.
02:35It is pursuing Him consistently and persistently.
02:41It's pursuing God fully engaged.
02:44We have my whole mind's attention.
02:47We are to bring our full attention unto God.
02:50Our full affections unto God.
02:53And our full will unto God.
02:55And God said, when I have all that, you will find me.
02:58When you pursue me like that, God is a jewel.
03:02God is a gift.
03:04The greatest of all gifts to be pursued after.
03:07Help us.
03:08Some of us pursue a whole lot of things that will disappoint us.
03:11But if you see God, oh, He will be found of you and He's the greatest gift there is.
03:17My question to you is, how deeply do you want to know Him?
03:21How fully engaged are you with God?
03:25How much of your heart are you willing to engage to know God?
03:30We all know God deep as we want to know Him.
03:34Meaning, God says, you could have known me deeper.
03:36But you wanted to stop right there.
03:39That's as full-hearted as you wanted to stop.
03:42If you would have been more full-hearted.
03:44And if you would have gave me more of your heart.
03:47And if you would have devoted more to me, you could have known me deeper.
03:49Ah, help us.
03:51Help us, God.
03:52This is a call for us to examine the depth of how we pursue God.
03:56Oh, God, I want to know you deeper.
03:58Do not just stop at surface-level knowledge of God.
04:00Some people don't know God very well.
04:02They just stop at surface-level knowledge of God.
04:04They just know what they've been heard.
04:05But God said, if you search for me in prayer.
04:08In my word.
04:10In devotion.
04:12Ah, if you seek for me diligently, you shall find me.
04:16It's going to cost you, though.
04:18God is looking for sincerity.
04:20Let me move on from that point.
04:22And in this text, God is offering us relational rewards.
04:27Many people come to God for transactions.
04:30They come trying to get a certain outcome.
04:32God, I need a healing.
04:33God, I need some money.
04:34God, I want a marriage.
04:35God, I want some guidance.
04:37God, please give me this job.
04:38But this text is reminding us that the primary reward is God himself.
04:45His very presence.
04:46Why is God's presence the primary reward?
04:50Because everything else flows from that.
04:53The Bible tells us to seek ye first the kingdom of God and his righteousness.
04:57And everything else will be added.
05:00Once we seek God, everything else and his righteousness, everything else flows from that.
05:04Everything else will be added.
05:06God's saying, when you seek me, you will find me.
05:11And what finding implies is you will have a divine encounter with me.
05:18Oh, and when we have a divine encounter with God, we're never the same.
05:22You will have a divine meeting with me.
05:24And when people have encountered the presence of God and the word of God, they were never, ever the same.
05:30You cannot encounter God without him changing you.
05:36Every time we've encountered God, oh, it's changement.
05:41Help us, oh God, to desire you so much that we seek you with our whole heart and have an
05:48encounter with you and are changed.
05:51If we seek God, we shall find him.

06:02Well, let us keep on studying and digging in the word of God.
06:06Growth does not happen by accident.
06:09We have to be intentional.
06:11I'm praying that you are intentional in the word and I'm praying that I am intentional as well.
