00:05:25singing skier Kesha. This week is Heroes week and it's probably the most important
00:05:34week to me. My dad is the biggest hero of them all really. He's been to every single
00:05:40gig I have done. We love to hang out, jam together. My dad's been doing music since
00:05:48a very young age and I've seen my dad you know push his music aside to make room for
00:05:56mine so I don't think I would have been able to you know put my foot forward and
00:06:02actually audition without dad. He's right there when I need him. Hello. How are ya?

00:06:18stage. I feel like a little girl again getting to sing with dad and yeah you
00:06:26can't really put it into words. This week I'm singing The Climb by Miley Cyrus which is
00:06:38one of my all-time favorite songs.

00:06:47Playing the guitar with Kesha on a big gold stage I really feel privileged to do that

00:52:14I want to know a bit more about you guys.
00:52:15I had something called Clivocordoma, which is a very rare form of sarcoma.
00:52:19I had stage 4 brain cancer and music was like always there throughout treatment.
00:52:26It's unreal to know how much music has helped these people through their journey.
00:52:30Did they play music when you were having radiation?
00:52:32Yeah, I was able to pick my playlist.
00:52:36Every weekend I would choose a playlist for the week, depending on what I felt like.
00:52:41Nice!
00:52:42It's such a powerful tool and it's such a universal language, which is really uplifting and nice
00:52:47to see.
