A 32-year-old real estate agent, who allegedly stabbed a woman in front of a restaurant along Jalan Titi Gajah in Alor Setar, has been remanded for seven days until May 24.

It was previously reported that a woman sustained an injury to her right neck in an incident at 9.19pm on Sunday (May 17), after she was allegedly stabbed by an acquaintance inside a car in front of a restaurant.

00:22It was previously reported that a woman sustained an injury to her right neck in an incident
00:27at 9.19pm on Sunday, after she was allegedly stabbed by an acquaintance inside a car in
00:34front of a restaurant.
00:35The suspect was believed to have fled after the incident but was successfully apprehended
00:40by police near the Masjid Taman Uda area at 1.50am on Monday.
00:46Kota's Star District Police Chief, Assistant Commissioner Syed Basri Syed Ali, said the
00:52victim was sent to Sultana Bahia Hospital for treatment and is currently in a stable
00:57condition.
00:58He added that police are still investigating the motive behind the incident as well as
01:03the true nature of the relationship between the victim and suspect.
01:08The case is being investigated under Section 326 of the Penal Code for causing grievous hurt
01:13losing a weapon.
