Hallucinations is a term I have chosen to describe certain defects or
malfunctions that can occur with some operating systems in VirtualBox.
While this term may commonly refer to issues in AI, I believe it effectively
illustrates the problems that can arise when running older operating
systems in a virtual environment.
I want to clarify that I don't judge any operating system or VirtualBox for
these defects or error messages. Issues can be common, particularly since
many of these operating systems are quite old—some dating back over a
decade.
VirtualBox is capable of installing most operating systems without issue,
including legacy ones. However, compatibility with older systems can
sometimes be limited by the hardware available on the PC.
My intention is to present the results or error messages to demonstrate
that such occurrences are common and can happen on any PC hardware.
