00:01Bulgaria has won the 70th Eurovision Song Contest with Dara's party anthem Bangaranga.
00:08Dara is well known in the modern Balkan music scene and is also a mentor on The Voice Bulgaria.
00:14Despite not being among the favourites to win the song's infectious beats and tightly choreographed dance routine,
00:21were a massive hit with both viewers and national juries.
00:25I'm still in shock, I don't know what's going on. For real, because nobody believes that we can win and
00:36that Bangaranga can win.
00:37We have the Balkans united tonight and this is so good.
00:44While Dara spoke of unity for many, this year's Eurovision will go down as one of the most divisive additions.
00:51Many pre-show demonstrations took place around the venue and across Vienna over Israel's participation in the competition.
00:58Until the final public vote was announced, it appeared as if Israel's Noam Batten was set to win the contest.
01:04He ended up placing second in the competition.
01:07This year's my last time saying that it was a moment in the game.
01:07The first time the first time it was a vaccination player.
01:07The first time it was gonna get in, if it was a prediction, it was a promise to the people
01:10who wipe your face.
01:10Thank you so much for that.
