A foreign woman was arrested after allegedly trespassing into a restricted security area at the international departure gate of Terminal 1 at Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) on Saturday (May 16) afternoon .

00:16KLIAOCPD Assistant Commissioner Ravi Munusami said the incident occurred at about 1.35pm on Saturday.
00:24He said the suspect, a Chinese national, allegedly passed through an auto gate checkpoint without a valid flight ticket
00:32before acting aggressively when approached by security personnel at International Departure Gate C.
00:39She was detained by Malaysia Airports Holdings Bahad MAHB Auxiliary Police at about 1.45pm the same day.
00:49Preliminary investigations found that she had entered Malaysia on April 30th for a holiday with a friend
00:54but did not have sufficient funds to purchase a return ticket.
00:59ACP Ravi said the suspect was brought before the Serpang court on Sunday
01:04and remanded for investigation under Section 7 of the Protected Areas and Protected Places Act, 1959.
