00:07With just over 4,000 residents, the southern city of Tainan's Sojen District is a quiet place.
00:16But since 2024, it's been going all out, decking itself in lanterns and art installations that light up the night.
00:23The event is funded with donations, and while the funds aren't easy to gather, the result is a festival that
00:30brings the whole community together.
00:32The involvement of university students studying design also brings hope that some younger people may inject fresh life
00:51into this aging corner of rural Taiwan.
00:54Some students, when they come here, will start to discover their value or meaning of their life.

01:19in fossils and dramatic, craggy badland geology.
01:34Providing an introduction to a colorful place that doesn't usually get much attention.
