00:07The appointment was among the key decisions made during the party's nearly four-hour
00:12Supreme Council meeting on Thursday night, chaired by President Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yasin.
00:17Azmin, who is also the party's secretary-general, said his task is to strengthen Bersatu's
00:23election machinery and improve coordination among leaders at all levels.
00:27He said a central operations room, or war room, equipped with advanced technology and
00:33a digital election system, will begin operations on June 1.
00:38Field auditing and monitoring operations, led by Datuk Seri Ahmad Faizal Azumu,
00:44will be mobilized in key Bersatu areas starting May 15.
00:48Azmin said the Supreme Council also directed the Johor leadership to intensify discussions
00:54with Perikatan National and other parties willing to bring change to the state.
00:59The Council also reviewed political developments in Negri Sembilan and Malacca,
01:04both of which are expected to hold state elections soon.
01:07The election director post was previously held by Datuk Seri Hamza Zainuddin,
