00:00the pit no matter how good you are or how hard you try someone might die that's called being
00:07an emergency medicine doctor welcome to the pit welcome to the pit i love this show oh my gosh
00:14it's so good right so we have we're two seasons in each season there's been a time jump between
00:21each season so if you're not familiar with the show but you've been curious about it right each
00:26hour of the show is an hour of the shift that these doctors and nurses and personnel are working
00:34in the hospital right so last season was a 15 hour shift so there were 15 episodes right and each
00:41hour
00:41was an hour of their show uh or of their shift so noah wiley shared that season three will time
00:48jump
00:48now to november this last season took place on the fourth of july that's right yeah now we're doing
00:53early november he said um they're gonna start production in june and they're doing early
01:01november because it's just before the holidays so it brings in a whole new set of emergencies and
01:06confrontations and complications and all the things but like early november i mean we they didn't choose
01:13a holiday so i'm curious about this because are they going to do something with maybe veterans day
01:19which happens in early november and of course we know that there are some the characters that are
01:24veterans right that are that is a big part of their character on the show um that's a good point
01:30i was
01:31hoping really early november so like november 1st so people would come in with halloween costumes on
01:36with injuries because you know i mean i mean listen jokes aside it's a very serious show at times right
01:41but like in the fourth of july episode people came in with fourth of july related injuries or sunburn sunburn
01:48girl
01:49holy cow right that was insane that was nuts but it was like that was you know for as much
01:53as when
01:54you saw her you're like oh it still was kind of funny because she was just like this crazy red
01:59color
02:00right you know and that's the real that's what they deal with in emergency rooms across the country
02:05yeah and um halloween this year by the way jeff is a saturday so it would make sense
02:10if on sunday november 1st they're still a lot of holdovers and hangovers exactly yeah exactly so
02:17we will see oh and i'm getting a note from my friend barb who works in the medical industry and
02:23she says um i'm thinking because if noah wiley leaves for three months that's when he would return
02:29so july august september october yeah so he'll be back early november right right right okay so and
02:35he's got to come back because that was the thing that that's how the season two ended right is that
02:40he was taking a three-month sabbatical right and that was basically the entire plot line of the
02:44season two when it came to his character right and yeah i needed a season three of this show i
02:50think
02:50the character development of it is incredible for a show that's about doctors yes right because there's
02:56patients coming in and out and the every hour andy that you mentioned reminds me of 24 yes where
03:01because there's no lapse in action because you're following a very intense scene of 15 hour shift
03:07patients in and out rooms doctors this i can't sleep after it i have to go watch like something a
03:14little bit less stimulating yeah yeah no we do the same thing we do the same thing we like throw
03:19on a
03:19half hour cooking show or something just kind of like lighten the mood shout out british bake-off
03:25because that's where we slow vibes british accent put me right to sleep thank you so much to barb for
03:31that and we're all looking forward to the pit
03:34you
