00:00I told you from the first day that I met him until watching him yesterday,
00:03I received this award in front of his dad, in front of his brother,
00:05in front of my son-in-law and daughter and their kids and his girlfriend, Sam.
00:11It was just, it was really emotional for all of us.
00:14I mean, and he's just such a great kid at the age of 18.
00:19And I've told you this throughout the year, that none of this surprises me.
00:25And his reaction did not surprise me at all.
00:28He's a funny kid.
00:29He likes to talk trash and he likes to have a lot of fun.
00:32I think that's because of the sport that he plays and the people that he's around.
00:35But when you see the genuineness, tears and talking about his mom
00:39and then getting involved with the Islanders and their cancer foundation
00:45because he lost his mom to cancer, it is really remarkable.
00:48It's been a remarkable story.
00:50I've had a front row seat and have done nothing but enjoyed every single minute of it.
00:55I did at one point in time over the weekend try to talk to him
00:58into forcing a trade to the Rangers, but I don't think that's going to work.
