00:00How many of you have experienced some relief upon vomiting?
00:04That's the pleasure of renunciation.
00:05The head is spinning, the entire system is feeling lethargic,
00:09there's pain here and there, and then you vomit.
00:1130 minutes, 40 minutes later, the headache is gone,
00:14you're feeling lighter, and you can resume work.
00:16Does it happen or not?
00:17That's the pleasure of renunciation.
00:19But that pleasure, temporarily we'll have to call that pleasure,
00:22that pleasure is always preceded by the misplaced pleasure of consumption.
00:27Definitely you have eaten something that was either not meant to be eaten
00:31or you have overdone the eating.
00:34Why? Because it was pleasurable.
00:36So these are the two lazy answers that we usually have
00:38and these two answers are related to each other.
00:41The first one is what to do with the world?
00:43Consume.
00:44The second one is what to do with the world?
00:45Renounce.
00:46Spirituality is not about coming to lazy answers,
00:50it is about finding out.
00:52Finding out with a rigor that exceeds that of a scientist or an explorer.
00:57Finding out.
00:58Finding out.
