00:00If every time someone asks you a question, you try to say the right answer, your entire life is a
00:05test.
00:06And when did you have the most anxiety in grammar school and high school?
00:09Another question.
00:10On test day.
00:10Another question.
00:11So your entire life become this test.
00:13I ain't trying to say the right answer.
00:15I am just doing what I feel.
00:18My mama said trying is failing.
00:20There is no ifs, woulds, coulds, shoulds.
00:23It just is.
00:25And we just are.
00:27I sparked that first dream up.
00:30I gained two viewers.
00:31Or was it one?
00:32It was the one and two viewers.
00:35I had that one viewer.
00:36And that viewer made me keep going.
00:39And each day and each day and more, week two, I gained, I started averaging four viewers.
00:44Week three, eight viewers.
00:45Week four, 20 viewers.
00:47So on and so on and so on.
00:49So then my sophomore year, I just kind of, I kind of gave up on school.
00:56Right.
00:57I kind of gave up on school.
00:58I kind of gave them everything that I, that I had to my old life and just put everything
01:02onto my stream.
01:03I streamed every day.
01:04I didn't care about nothing else but YouTube streaming.
01:08I was 16 and college was coming up.
01:11Like, I wanted to do so much.
01:13I deleted my Instagram so I wouldn't see any skating.
01:16No one ever brought it up.
01:18So I never even had the chance to think about it.
01:25And so I call him Philip and I tell him, like, hey, I think I want to go back to
01:31skating.
01:33What was the point where you started to feel that it wasn't right?
01:36Like, one morning I woke up, I had to go to training.
01:38This is when he'd stop playing me.
01:39And I was in a bad place.
01:40And I remember just looking in the mirror.
01:42I mean, it sounds dramatic, but I was literally staring in the mirror.
01:45And I was asking if I could retire now at 24, you know, doing the thing I love.
01:53For me, that was heartbreaking to even have had that thought at 24 to want to retire.
01:58That hurt me a lot.
01:59That was another thing that I had to carry.
02:02I see it as this.
02:04You need to squeeze every ounce of potential God has given you to be the best you can be.
02:12Now, a lot of people, they go, they work hard, they squeeze it, just like I am.
02:16You know what I'm saying?
02:16They squeeze it, they squeeze it, they squeeze it, and they get to right there, right?
02:19They get to right there.
02:21That's 50%.
02:21That's 50%.
02:22You squeeze your potential out the bottle.
02:24Amazing.
02:26You're doing better than you was 50% ago.
02:27You're doing better.
02:28You're looking at something like, yeah, I'm doing good.
02:29It's not the other, right?
02:30But in your mind, in your heart, you know there is so much more to get.
02:34Like, so much.
02:35Double that.
02:36You know what I'm saying?
02:36Double that.
02:38I push.
02:39I push.
02:39I push.
02:40Hold on.
02:41That's 70%.
02:44You see how it gets harder now with the bottle?
02:46It gets harder.
02:47It just keeps out the potential.
02:48But you've gotten further than 50.
02:49Now you're at 70.
02:50Listen to me.
02:51Let me land, okay?
02:54Right here is where people start to get comfortable.
02:58And when you get comfortable, what happens?
03:04It goes back out.
03:06Now, it doesn't go back out to fully, but it goes back out because you get comfortable.
03:09We get lazy, right?
03:10Like I do.
03:11I do that all the time.
03:12You know what I'm saying?
03:12I'm not talking about right now.
03:13I'm talking about all in life.
03:14We all do at some point, right?
03:16So, you go to 70% and you see how it starts getting harder to squeeze out the potential
03:21out of your actual body.
03:22It's like you're working harder.
03:23Like it's getting harder.
03:24You're getting tired.
03:25All this stuff.
03:26It's getting harder.
03:27Because I don't want to do this and then be all comfortable and do this again.
03:31I want to squeeze.
03:40All of a sudden, you land a hundred.
03:42And when you land a hundred, the bottle, all of a sudden, you get a new bottle.
03:48And you squeeze that one.
03:49You get potential.
03:50And you get better and better and better and better.
03:54When it gets hard, it's going to get hard.
03:56It's definitely going to get hard.
03:58And it's going to be a point where nothing's growing.
04:00It might be a point where you have no viewers.
04:02You know, I started off with no viewers.
04:04So, when you get to that point, that wall, like that wall breaker, it happens to everybody.
04:09Every creator out there who wants to do this.
04:12You know, you just got to push through that.
04:14Try something new and keep going.
04:16You know, you got to find a new lane.
04:17So, I started off with zero viewers, one viewer.
04:20But I kept going.
04:21Be yourself.
04:23Like, don't try to become me.
04:24Try to become a better me.
04:25You know, like, don't try to chase on what I did.
04:29Do something.
04:30Like, become better than me.
04:32Don't become like me.
04:33Become better than me.
04:34Hey, I started with nothing.
04:36I started with a PlayStation 4.
04:39And I'm pretty sure any kid out there has a PlayStation or any console in their room.
04:44So, I didn't have nothing.
04:46So, you can start off from anywhere.
04:48Seriously.
04:48Like, you don't need the best of the best of equipment.
05:20I promise you.
05:22Millions of other creators.
05:23Yeah.
05:24That's trying to do the same thing.
05:25So, the thought of you doing it for 10 years before anyone potentially watching you, which
05:30is a real scenario for a lot of people, you know, makes you want to vomit, scares you away, then
05:36it's probably not for you.
05:37But if you hear that and you go, well, I love doing it.
05:39And this is what I'm deeply passionate about.
05:41And in my case, when I was 11, I was like, I'm going to become a YouTuber or I'm going
05:44to die trying.
05:45Those are the only two outcomes.
05:47You kind of need that level of stubbornness because to make content that people watch, it has to be better
05:53than what's out there.
05:53And it's going to take you many years to develop those skills.
05:55So, you have people around you who push you, who make you better, who are also obsessed.
06:00And you're making content that you deeply enjoy making and you're fine with doing for a very long time without
06:04anyone watching.
06:05You're at least half the guardrails to achieve success, in my opinion.
06:10My words to, like, a young dude going through it is going to take his life.
06:13And especially if you look up to me, like, listen to a couple of my songs.
06:16You know, I don't even act like, sound like none of that.
06:19I ain't no thought about killing myself.
06:21Like, you know, today is just today.
06:23Tomorrow is always ahead.
06:24So, I just go for that.
06:27My message to the youth is to be strong no matter what you're going through.
06:34So, if you need help, seek help.
06:36Whether, if you're on a professional help, seek help and surround yourself with people that'll help you,
06:43that'll listen to you, that's your best interest.
06:48Whatever you want to do in life, find something that you don't mind doing for the rest of your life.
06:53Find something that you like.
06:55And even if it seems like it's impossible, it's very, very possible.
06:59So, don't get nervous.
07:03If you have a big goal, just chip away at it until you get to where you need to be.
07:09You know, when you're a thinker, I'm the same way.
07:13You're looking for answers that you know you can't, like, you're not going to be able to get.
07:17You know what I'm saying?
07:19It kind of drives you crazy.
07:22Because you feel like you should have these answers, but you don't.
07:25So, you just try to think your way into a solution, but you can't find the answer.
07:29So, like, I think that's what life is about.
07:33Truly finding yourself.
07:35And then closing your eyes and dying in your sleep.
07:40Finding yourself and finding other things.
07:44But finding yourself is one of the things, though.
07:46For sure.
07:46So, you're looking for answers.
