Opposition lawmakers held another hearing on Thursday morning to discuss President Lai Ching-te’s alleged misconduct ahead of next week’s impeachment vote against him. The opposition-controlled legislature initiated impeachment proceedings against Lai last December after his premier refused to countersign a local government funding bill passed by lawmakers.
