00:00So your character is so much fun. What was your favorite part of playing her?
00:03I think driving a vintage Bronco and like hitting men.
00:06And it was like attacking every scene that she goes into.
00:09She's very powerful. So anything that she does, I think.
00:13How is working with Annette Benning?
00:15I mean, absolutely incredible. Annette is one of my favorite people ever.
00:19And being able to be in C3 and the way that she crafts her hair is so successful.
00:23I feel very blessed.
00:24So you're a ranch hen. Did you already have cowboy skills?
00:27I did. Yes, ma'am. I'm a professional team roper.
00:30I grew up riding and roping and everything.
00:33Grew up with my dad, roping at events.
00:35And we won a couple of big, really big titles.
00:38And it was just kind of the perfect storm.
00:40I got this job and I got to play me.
00:42So it was amazing.
00:43That's really interesting. So you didn't have to learn any skills you had.
00:46I didn't have to learn anything, no.
00:47No, I mean, my acting is always progressing.
00:51You know what I mean?
00:52But with the cowboy and I felt really at home.
00:54And team roping, I felt really at home.
00:56And it was really, really fun.
00:58So were you a fan of Yellowstone before this?
01:00We were, yeah.
01:00I mean, everybody in my way of life, all my friends, all my family,
01:04they've all loved Taylor's hair and the universe.
01:06They've all loved Yellowstone.
01:07They've all loved Rip and Beth.
01:08And I think it's just going to keep growing.
01:10Absolutely.
01:11How was working with Cole and Kelly?
01:13They're the nicest people ever.
01:14Truthfully, it was a dream.
01:16This is a dream cast there.
01:18I've made some friends that I will never forget.
01:20They'll be with me forever.
01:21So it was really awesome.
01:23Absolutely.
01:23How was working with Annette?
01:24It was great.
01:25It was great.
01:26First time I met her, she was the sweetest lady I've ever met.
01:29And when she's on the screen, she's a different person for sure.
01:32But she's really great.
01:34Really great.
01:34Absolutely.
01:35Did you get a chance to meet Taylor Sheridan at all?
01:37I haven't yet.
01:38No, ma'am.
01:39No, I have not.
01:39I've heard great things.
01:41Absolutely.
01:42Now, how did you get into acting from roping?
01:44I kind of started doing stunts.
01:46I started out in the stunt world.
01:47And I just, one thing led to another.
01:49I started taking acting classes.
01:51Got in.
01:51Got on a couple of projects.
01:52And my manager's great.
01:54And then she's new there.
01:55New beginnings of entertainment.
01:56She's great.
01:57And she got me this audition.
01:58We booked the job.
01:59And I showed up on day one.
02:01And it was like I was at home.
02:02That's silly.
02:03Did you have to correct them about the accuracy?
02:05Since you know the accuracy?
02:06They had it pretty spot on.
02:07Seriously, they had everything as good as you could get it.
02:11The authenticity of this show is, it is cowboy.
02:14It is country.
02:15It is.
02:15It's great.
02:16Am I going?
02:17Good.
02:18Good, good.
02:19Yeah, you missed my wife.
02:20She's super short.
02:21I'm a huge fan of her.
02:22Do you watch each other's shows?
02:26Yes.
02:28Yes, we do.
02:28I, I, I, we don't tend to watch our own stuff, so it's, we will watch our, we'll watch each
02:38other's, but that's about all that.
02:41Do you ask each other for feedback on your acting projects?
02:43No.
02:45I mean, if I ever do a tape, I'll ask her for, you know, she'll, she'll give me a little
02:52adjustments and whatnot, but I don't think we've ever been like,
02:58I don't really like that choice you made.
03:01Yeah, absolutely.
03:03You meant after Game of Thrones, right?
03:05So had you watched it or?
03:07No.
03:07You haven't, you haven't watched it?
03:08I, I did, I hadn't.
03:10I, I watched it, uh, during the pandemic, after we had met, and I was working in Romania,
03:18where, which nothing was open, and so, and the shoot took a lot longer, so I ended up
03:24having like a two-week break, uh, with nothing to do in Romania, and I binged it over two weeks,
03:32so I didn't think I would like the show, and I loved it.
03:35I mean, her performance is so iconic in it, it's so good.
03:38Absolutely.
03:39Well, speaking of shows, were you a fan of Yellowstone before, uh, the show?
03:43Or have you watched it?
03:43You know, I didn't really watch much, uh, not for any other reason other than I don't
03:48watch a ton of TV.
03:51Um, I had seen bits and pieces of Yellowstone here and there, um, and it's also kind of
03:58like Game of Thrones, like, I, I want to, I want to be able to sit down and be like,
04:03all right, I'm going to see this from beginning to end, so.
04:06Absolutely.
04:07So have you since watched it, or did you kind of stay away because the show was a ton?
04:09I've watched some since we started, uh, just, you know, just to get the feel of the
04:14world and all that kind of stuff, so.
04:17Absolutely.
04:17I will get to it.
04:19Absolutely.
04:19The, the, the actors will have their residuals coming, but I'll just, like, play it over
04:25and over.
04:25Did you get a chance to meet Taylor Sheridan?
04:29No, I saw Taylor at the ranch a couple times, uh, but we were both doing different things
04:35and, and that was kind of it.
04:37It was kind of like it.
04:38Are you able to tease anything about what's to come?
04:41Um, I mean, I can't tease much.
04:45Uh.
04:45Uh, but, you will find out why I went to prison and what has made Zach who he is.
04:57What are you able to tease about where the season is going?
04:59Absolutely nothing.
04:59What can I tease?
05:00You're going to love it.
05:01That's what I'm going to tease.
05:02Absolutely.
05:03Can you tell me a little bit more about working with Annette Bening?
05:05It's like going to school.
05:07Annette is a master of her craft and I just felt like I was screwed every single day I
05:12was on set with her.
05:13So it was probably the biggest gift that, you know, that I received on the show.
05:17Absolutely.
05:17Have you watched Taylor Stern before the show?
05:19Yeah.
05:19I have.
05:20Yeah, I have.
05:20I was a big fan of the cinematic universe.
05:22I was a big fan of the Mario.
05:24And then when I got to, when I got to the show, I just binge-watched first three seasons,
05:29you know, and it was a blessing.
05:31Well, it's interesting because there's a scene where Beth says your character kind of reminds
05:34her of Jamie.
05:36Jamie, yeah.
05:36Yeah.
05:36And I tell her, I hope it's a good thing.
05:39She's like, not so much.
05:41It's a great scene.
05:42That was my first scene with Kelly and it was very exciting.
05:47How was working with her?
05:48She's a powerhouse.
05:49She's a powerhouse.
05:50But what's also very, very amazing is that she is nothing like a character.
05:55Nothing.
05:56I didn't even, like, when I heard her speaking with a British accent, I'm like, what?
06:00What?
06:02So, you know, that's amazing when you get to work with Brian and Snipes.
06:08Also, you can tell that they put so much into their crowd.
06:11But they have nothing to do with their character.
06:12She was really good.
06:13Absolutely.
06:14So, was Wes Bentley's performance in your mind at all?
06:17Because of that similarity that the show does?
06:18No, not at all.
06:19Not at all.
06:19And also, I think it was a pretty slate.
06:21Yeah.
06:22And also, sometimes you don't want to want too many references.
06:24Because you're like, your mind starts kind of going that way.
06:27I'm like, nope, nope, I'm going to do my thing.
06:29I'm going to do my thing.
06:30Absolutely.
06:31Did you get to meet Taylor at all?
06:32Taylor Sheridan?
06:33No, I didn't.
06:33I don't know if he's here.
06:34So, what can you tease about where the season is going?
06:39You know, the first season is ripping back and heading towards a new frontier.
06:43They are moving on to the New Rams without their allies.
06:48Rob's new friends.
06:51Absolutely.
06:51If you could choose what other show in the Sheridanverse it had a crossover with, what show would
06:55it be?
06:57I would love to see Michelle Pfeiffer and Sally Riley have to take a car somewhere.
07:03We're going to be very, very different worlds.
07:05We're so lucky in Taylor's show to have such an incredible actress coming in.
07:09I think any crossover will be true.
07:12Absolutely.
07:12What was Taylor's feedback after he saw it?
07:15I think Taylor's excited to see us move the story into a new universe.
07:21He's been such a tremendous foundation for all of us.
07:27He's really, really, really.
07:28He knows about the story.
07:29That is true.
07:30Absolutely.
07:30Beth is such an iconic character.
07:32Are we going to see, like, new sides of her or just, like, more of what everyone loves?
07:35You know, I think any character that has existed for so many episodes, so many seasons of television,
07:40the best ones of all, I think you're going to see a little gone from both rip and back,
07:44from the version that we are so familiar with in Yellowstone to something that is perhaps
07:50a little bit more preserved, perhaps a little more dangerous.
07:53That's all the questions.
07:54I really love to see it.
07:56Absolutely.
07:57And now I talked to a few of the cast members who haven't seen it yet.
08:00So as they see it tonight, what are you hoping their reactions are going to be?
08:03I hope it knocks their thoughts off.
08:05I'm really, really, really proud that these characters who've got this thing.
08:08The first two episodes that I had the opportunity to be proud of.
08:10I'm proud of a few of the directors who have talked to a see-star.
08:13That's where I was really taught.
08:14It's been a moment to be a lot of a year.
08:19So I'm really proud of these characters.
