00:00And then to make matters worse, and I don't have a problem with it.
00:03This, to me, is all about you, and you tell me if you have a problem with it.
00:06But some Yankee reporters wanted to point out that last night,
00:09Jazz Chisholm decided to skip meeting with the media.
00:11And that was off an 0-4, 3-strikeout game.
00:14I think they were offended by it.
00:15I think some fans are bothered by it.
00:17What say you?
00:18I mean, if we could only ship him the L, then he would wear it.
00:22He'd have to wear the L.
00:23You can't skip the podium.
00:26Isn't that what Tommy got in trouble for?
00:28Yeah, but forget Tommy.
00:28Isn't that what Sean got in trouble for?
00:30They get them.
00:31They're talk show hosts.
00:32I know, but we give talk show hosts the L.
00:35You have a problem with it?
00:37As an athlete who played in this town and had to answer annoying questions,
00:40like why do you keep fumbling?
00:42Not really.
00:44Only because it's not once a week.
00:47When you're speaking once a week to the media, like you do in the NFL,
00:51you can't skip the podium.
00:53When the media gets basically one opportunity, and then also after the game,
00:57to have a conversation with you, you can't just not show up
01:01and just toss it out to the PR guys with the team.
01:06When you have to do this every day, and it's been – this isn't like brand new.
01:11This is prolonged struggles that Jazz has been going through.
01:14He's had a bad season.
01:14Exactly.
01:15We're a quarter of the way through the season.
01:16And so people have been asking – I'm sure have been asking media these questions
01:20over and over and over and over and over again.
01:24I don't mind him skipping it on one day.
01:26It doesn't bother me because it's baseball.
01:28If it was football, it'd bother me because you only get one opportunity
01:32some of these weeks to talk to these guys.
01:34Baseball's different.
01:35The problem, though, is we have now a little bit of a track record of Jazz
01:39handling things different ways with the media.
01:40He blew off the media here.
01:42He talked to the hangers in the closet in the playoffs.
01:45That was funny, though.
01:46Okay, it was funny, but he still –
01:48Chisholm!
01:49He also caught criticism for that.
01:51Yeah.
01:51So I don't know.
01:52And then obviously you had the whole, you know, didn't know the rules,
01:54Trent Grisham telling him explanation.
01:56Yeah, I still think that was like – he was joking.
01:58I really do think he was messing with us.
02:00Chanel, I'm down the middle on this.
02:02Part of me is like Jazz blowing off the media sees these other two instances
02:05and is like, you know what?
02:06I don't want a third instance where I look bad.
02:09But at the same time, isn't it just better,
02:11even if you're talking to hangers,
02:12to stand in there and answer the questions when the goal gets back?
02:14I lean towards what you just said, which is this man's frustrated.
02:18He went 0 for 4.
02:19He's hitting 2-0-1.
02:20He's having a terrible season.
02:21Yep.
02:22And you think you're frustrated, Yankee fans,
02:23because he's a big part of the offense
02:25and you lose a game when your fifth-place hitter goes 0 for 4
02:28in a game, you lose 3-2.
02:29How do you think he feels?
02:30This is a contract year for him.
02:31So I think when you're really, really frustrated,
02:33it's okay every once in a while to say,
02:36I am going to skip the podium
02:38because he's going to be there tomorrow
02:39and he's going to be there the day after that.
