00:33to be there so we were growing further and further apart and we realized that
00:37we had to make some changes which led us to this opportunity of moving to Roatan
00:44moving to Roatan it's like uncharted territory so it's gonna be fun to get
00:49back to how it was before kids when we had that strong connection so cute sparks
00:54are flying yeah Honduras cowboy I'm really excited I'm a little bit scared
01:00but Roatan could be that place that saves our marriage
01:46this is so nice vacation without the kids it's much needed so we have two kids our son is seven
01:53years old and
01:54our daughter is five years old crazy to think about such a drastic step but you
01:59know I think it's the right thing for us we did try reading books self-help
02:04counseling I also tried using ketamine in a clinical professional setting we felt
02:12like we kind of exhausted everything I'm definitely looking forward to spending a
02:17lot of time with you really don't think I'm gonna like annoy you like times past you
02:22might you might but that's kind of what I'm afraid of like you know is it gonna be too
02:26much time together you know what I mean this move to Roatan is either gonna be make or break
02:31we're gonna be spending a lot of time together so this is either gonna be great or horrible
02:36I'm gonna like put the persistence on really getting together again and making those sparks

02:48I'm Lloyd Oyuela I'm a Honduran I was born and raised in Tegucigalpa I love Roatan and I've seen
02:56it grow and develop and I'm excited to show this island to somebody who's coming with fresh eyes
03:02to get a new start are you excited I love it yeah we're ready for this change and all the
03:07new
03:08adventure Roatan is an island 40 miles off the north coast of Honduras we're lying along the second
03:15largest barrier reef in the world the Mesoamerican barrier reef it's actually very close to shore
03:20so you can snorkel on the most amazing turquoise waters this beautiful part where we're sitting
03:26at is between West End and West Bay the most famous touristy spots you're gonna find a mile long white
03:34sandy beach with beautiful all-inclusive resorts lining it up yeah I definitely want to stick to West Bay
03:40because it's close to all the restaurants and activities and part of coming here is going on
03:45dates and being romantic I mean I get what you're saying but if I feel like we can get better
03:50bang for
03:50our buck maybe a little east if you move a little further to Mid Island it's equally beautiful but a
03:56lot more residential one thing you know I was hoping to be was on the beach we could always just
04:01walk to
04:01the beach if we had a view that would be good too what will make you guys feel at home

04:07Roatan we want at least three bedrooms three bath yeah for sure we definitely want a pool especially
04:13if we're not right on the beach we want to be able to swim in terms of your styles what

04:18looking for I prefer a modern sort of minimalist I want more of like the Mediterranean look with like
04:25the tile roofs I would definitely prefer something furnished it would take a lot of the stress off of
04:30moving to another country what are you thinking in terms of budget we definitely want to keep our
04:35budget to 1 million I've given up my oil and gas job to come here which provided a sense of
04:41security
04:42while we were living in Mobile we acquired some rental properties so we intend to use that income to live
04:49off of here in Roatan well you know if we get everything I think we could go a little bit

04:55think it's important to stick more to the budget I promise we're gonna find the one that suits you both

05:18on the island this home is not going to be on the water but it does have access to a

05:23of the community sounds good is listed at 965 000. okay that's good below budget so here it is it's
05:31like contemporary it's cool this one delivers on ocean views and a pool we're sitting on three
05:38quarters of an acre has two bedrooms to bath and a beautiful home that's valley inspired with
05:44contemporary lines that I know you'll love Serena sounds good thank you wow wow look at that view
05:52that's really beautiful this view is amazing I wasn't expecting that I could get used to this wow look

06:38open concept and the really high ceilings make it look big it's fully furnished too mm-hmm not that I'm
06:45really a fan of the furniture yeah it's not exactly our style but it could work and this kitchen island
06:51is huge it's beautiful it is and it's got a little breakfast bar one thing about moving here is I

06:58to get back in the kitchen and cooking for you and the kids and maybe you'll take up cooking with
07:02me yeah I think we'll leave that to you all right the first time Serena invited me over to her
07:08apartment she cooked like salmon and I thought it was amazing little did I know she doesn't really cook
07:13it was one of those meals that come like already prepared that you just kind of like heat up he
07:19does
07:19all our cooking still to this day yeah okay so this must be the second bedroom yeah it is a
07:26beautiful view
07:27from here let's go find where the baby making happens you mean the primary bedroom that's right
07:32okay his jokes they are kind of like cute in a way and a little over the top sometimes but

07:40the day I love it and it brings a lot of fun into her relationship I mean it's not as

07:47had hope no and look at this that's not much privacy no that's not good for baby making no it's

07:57baby making it's way too small for our family we really need more bedrooms the kids would have to
08:03share a bedroom so this is kind of open concept bathroom huh okay I like this this is big double
08:09sinks is nice we definitely have some stuff to think about here yeah it's definitely a unique property
08:16hi how did you like the house we love the view but I was thinking the further east we got

08:22better value a house would be but I wanted to be on the ocean I wanted three bedrooms we are
08:27still under
08:28budget so that is a plus there's a lot of pressure on me to deliver obviously the closer you get

08:34the water you will be reaching those million dollar price points based on what I've seen today I'd be
08:39willing to go over budget a little bit to get what we want we are no longer working and we're
08:44relying
08:44on rental income so we do have to watch what we're spending I prefer to be a little bit closer
08:49to our
08:49budget and be closer to the west end of the island

12:14decided to try ayahuasca which uh was very profound made me realize how much this relationship meant to
12:23me I love that view I could definitely imagine us sitting in the pool having some drinks and rekindling
12:30our romance it made me have a much deeper sense of gratitude towards him I could imagine us sitting
12:36right here having some drinks rekindling our romance the ayahuasca it was life-changing but I wouldn't
12:45say everything is still roses so only time will tell this seating area is really nice it's great for
12:53entertaining and watching the sunrise that's an infinity pool too huh yeah I think that's a pretty
12:58good size it's not too big that's okay it looks like it's got a little lounge deck here too yeah

15:14House it was nice yeah it was beautiful it wasn't right on the water you can't beat that view so

15:21think we can still consider the West Bay House but I think the Palmetto Bay House we definitely need
15:25to take off the table I'm just a little concerned about the location being mid-island and farther
15:30from everything and that drive would get old it's not worth the added stress you know at the end of
15:36the day this is about both of us being happy let's continue our search yeah maybe I can learn a
15:42bit of
15:42Spanish hola is that good that's great honey
15:57we're going to be seeing a property today that's on a little strip of beach and we're like seven to
16:03eight minutes away from West End and seven to eight minutes away from West Bay we're in an area called
16:08the Banks it's less commercial than West Bay but we also are very close to some of the most exclusive
16:15boutique hotels and restaurants here on the west side it actually comes with needed access to a dock
16:23which is a great perk you can catch those water taxis from the dock and go to the West Bay
16:28and West
16:29End areas without the traffic that sounds amazing the home is a three bedroom three bathroom it's listed
16:35at 1.22 million US dollars I don't like the sounds of that I'm definitely excited to see this property

16:49this is the only listing on the beach for the entire western part of the island so this already
16:56makes this home unique fair enough all right let's go

17:33walk to West Bay or West End that's nice yeah so this location being on the west end of the

17:40really perfect for us when we were in Mobile Alabama if we wanted to go out it was like a

17:45drive being in walking distance to the bars to the restaurants is uh is great it's nice that the
17:51place has a pool yeah I like it this must be the living room this is nice I like the
17:58natural light from
17:59the windows here feels really light and airy in here it does not feel light and airy in here it

18:06like dark it's you know maybe if we were to paint the ceiling white and just lightened up the rest

19:11suits us it gives us opportunity to go there every day and there's so many restaurants activities we
19:17have so many places to go and explore the most important thing to me is beach access and it's
19:23also in the area Serena wants to be so that's a big deal I mean this house is amazing it
19:29has so much
19:29of what we want but I'm really concerned about the budget the budget the budget the budget like
19:35that's all I've been hearing it's time to put the budget aside and let's just like enjoy it we've been
19:41working like extremely hard this past year on our relationship and we only want that to continue to
19:47grow I think if we can both compromise on a house we can really continue to grow this relationship
20:05as you can see we went with the West Bay house the moment we walked in it just felt right

20:25wish we would have found a house with four now because we're pregnant when we decided to come to
20:34Roatan we didn't have any thought about having a baby but things have been so good here our love has
20:40been amazing moving here has definitely helped our relationship we've had lots of time to go out to
20:48lunch go on dates I think we're gonna catch the sunset tonight yeah it looks like we are feel so

20:53out that cool breeze oh feels amazing the future definitely holds Jordan changing a lot of diapers
21:00it feels amazing knowing that Jordan will be around for the pregnancy the birth the difficult newborn
21:07stages you know I'm definitely excited to be taking this journey together this is beautiful yeah this
21:16whole move's been totally worth it it's 100% saved our marriage we are so happy here waking up
21:23every day it just feels magical in a way we're in such a good place as a family that this
21:29is going
21:30to be an exciting chapter
