00:00Who is the man who can do it for England?
00:02Not more or less than anybody else.
00:04I think Gareth Southgate took us very close.
00:07Not many teams have won the World Cup.
00:08And the fact that if you get to the final and lose,
00:10it's not failure.
00:11Because that means everybody else has failed.
00:13So if you go to the bookies and you say,
00:14are we fourth favourites?
00:15If you're fourth favourites and for the second,
00:17we've overachieved.
00:17We've maximised our potential.
00:19So to expect them to go to the World Cup because we're England,
00:21then, you know, that's unrealistic.
00:23Brown should be disappointed if they don't win the World Cup,
00:25because they should win the World Cup,
00:25because they're the best team.
00:26But for England, to maximise the potential
00:28of getting to the semi-finals, final,
00:30and yet winning with a bit of luck.
00:32So I don't put pressure on them to say,
00:33if you don't win the World Cup, we've failed.
00:35You have to maximise your potential,
00:36which means you should be getting to the latter stages,
00:38semi-finals, finals, and with a bit of luck,
00:40you can win it.
