00:07It's finally here, the night we've been waiting for.
00:11The Devil Wears Prada 2 world premiere red carpet is happening live from Lincoln Center
00:16in New York City, so gird your loins.
00:19Tonight is all about fashion, film, and fabulousness, of course.
00:24Hello and welcome, everybody.
00:27The carpet is popping.
00:29I am Brad Goreski, and soon, this red carpet is going to be filled with your favorite stars
00:35from the movie.
00:36I cannot wait to see what they're wearing.
00:38The looks have been amazing already.
00:40It's been 20 years since Miranda Priestly told the world, that's all, and she's back.
00:47The Devil Wears Prada 2 opens in U.S. theaters on May 1st, and tonight, we're celebrating
00:53the film.
00:54The whole team is here.
00:56Meryl Streep, Anne Hathaway, Emily Blunt, and Stanley Tucci, plus some incredible new faces
01:02joining them at Runway.
01:03We'll tell you more about that soon.
01:05But first, Lincoln Center has been transformed tonight into something straight out of a Runway
01:10photo shoot.
01:11The Grand Staircase draped in red, the tent, the cameras.
01:16This is a full Runway editorial come to life.
01:20And tonight's world premiere is just too big for just me.
01:25That's why we have coverage all across this carpet and through Lincoln Center.
01:29Up first, Teffy Pessoa is on the other end of the carpet, where some of entertainment's
01:35biggest stars are already sparkling.
01:37Hey, Teffy.
01:38That's right, Brad.
01:39Hello to everyone at home on Disney+, Hulu, ABC News, and all my fashionistas watching from
01:46TikTok.
01:47All around me, the biggest names in Hollywood, fashion, and entertainment are already starting
01:52to arrive.
01:53The energy is incredible, and I cannot wait to talk with some of your favorites tonight.
01:58And on top of that, join the conversation on TikTok.
02:02Let us know what you think.
02:03Who knows?
02:04We might be able to get your comment on the live.
02:07We might have some coming up very, very soon.
02:10But listen, the star caliber here tonight is almost too much for me to process, and I'm
02:15not only talking about the cast and talent walking this carpet.
02:19We've got our own star down at Arrivals, Sophie Flay, who's tracking the incredible guests.
02:26Hi, Sophie.
02:28Hey, Teffy.
02:29Yes, I am standing here at the bottom of the staircase at Lincoln Center.
02:32This is sure to be one of the most stylish nights in New York City of the year.
02:37So this is where all of the celebs are walking through.
02:40We'll bring you the glam.
02:41We'll bring you the fashion.
02:41Oh, thank you.
02:42And we'll bring you the spring florals, because on a night like tonight, they are sure to be
02:46groundbreaking.
02:46We've got so much more to come.
02:48Stay with us on the red carpet.
02:57Okay.
02:58We are here with Simone Ashley, who plays Amari, who is Miranda Priestly's new first assistant
03:04at Runway.
03:05What can you tell us about your character?
03:08I think Amari is definitely the voice of the younger generation coming in to watch this movie.
03:13I think she's sharp, she's very confident, quiet confidence kind of sense.
03:18And yeah, I think she's really passionate about fashion and her job.
03:23Speaking of being passionate about fashion,
03:26I've seen from the trailer that Amari wears some pretty incredible looks.
03:30Do you have any favorite looks that you maybe wanted to take from set?
03:34All of them.
03:36I figured.
03:37Loved my Tom Brown office looks.
03:39Oh, major.
03:39All the Dolce & Gabbana in Milan I wore.
03:42Oh my gosh, Brunello Cuccinelli.
03:44So much.
03:45I mean, we would be here for hours.
03:47I could list so many.
03:48The costume department, Molly, Jake, her whole team, Danny, Jessica,
03:53they all just killed it.
03:55They really did.
03:56Yeah.
03:56And Caleb Heron plays Charlie.
03:59Uh-huh.
03:59The second assistant to Miranda Priestly.
04:01What can you tell me about your dynamic with him?
04:04Since the first and second assistants were so iconic in the first film.
04:08Yeah.
04:08I think there's always that slight competition, power dynamics.
04:13I think, let's say Amari definitely likes to be the one in control.
04:17Oh, all right.
04:18I see.
04:19Yeah.
04:20She knows, she knows how to get the job done.
04:22Yeah.
04:23And do you remember the first time you saw The Devil Wears Prada?
04:26I've been asked this question so many times.
04:29I don't remember the first time exactly.
04:31Yes.
04:31But it kind of just arrived in my life.
04:34Right.
04:34And then it was one of my favorite movies and I watched it again and again and again.
04:38Yeah.
04:38And then tell me about your gorgeous look tonight.
04:41I love it.
04:42This is Prada.
04:43Feels perfect for tonight.
04:44Well, you look amazing.
04:45I can't wait to see the film.
04:47And we've got so much more to come.
04:54I am here with Kenneth Branagh who plays Miranda Priestly's husband.
04:59You are the fourth husband of Miranda Priestly.
05:02Currently.
05:03What can you tell us about Mr. Miranda Priestly?
05:07Well, he tries to be a support to a woman who you have to understand is going to be a
05:12requirement
05:12to buckle up your seatbelt.
05:14It's going to be a beautiful bumpy ride.
05:16But he tries to give her space.
05:18She needs a lot of space.
05:19And he tries to be ready when she requires him and be ready before she's finished asking.
05:24Right.
05:25So you have never acted with Meryl before.
05:27Is that true?
05:28No, I have not.
05:29No, we've met over the years and talked about it.
05:31But this was a real joy.
05:33And so what was it like when you two got on set together?
05:36Well, we had a chance to talk a little bit about the characters.
05:39And we kind of back and forth emailed about the first scene that we were doing.
05:44There were some changes.
05:45Aileen Bross McKenna, a screenwriter, was fully involved in all of that.
05:49So was David Frankel.
05:50But what I learned was that Meryl just wants to scrub it clean right to the last second
05:55before you're ready to go.
05:57Can it be better?
05:58Wow.
05:58Always can it.
05:59Can it be better?
06:00And then she's super ready.
06:01She won't throw you.
06:02She's playful.
06:03She's serious, not solemn.
06:05She's joyful when it comes to the playing.
06:07And she's super present.
06:08So when you're in a scene and she's looking at you, you really feel the full and absolute
06:14Miranda Priestly coming your way.
06:16Wow.
06:16That's a powerful thing.
06:17I bet.
06:18I bet.
06:18Well, I can't wait to see the two of you on screen tonight.
06:21I'm excited to see the film.
06:22Total pleasure meeting you.
06:23Thanks, Brad.
06:24Over to you, Taffy.
06:27I am standing here with a woman that needs no introduction.
06:33Everybody.
06:33Heidi Klummo.
06:34Hi, everybody.
06:36Can you please?
06:37I mean, sometimes when I'm on the carpet, I'm like, I can't ask what are you wearing,
06:40but I feel like it's so appropriate.
06:41Heidi, what are you wearing?
06:42Well, I am actually wearing a Project Runway designer's dress from this upcoming season,
06:49the next season, the 22nd season of Project Runway.
06:52So I can't tell you who made it, but I picked this one and I'm wearing it today.
06:58Very proud because I'm super proud of my new designers.
07:01And, you know, we need to help new designers.
07:04So, here we are.
07:05I've never seen you look bad a day in your life.
07:07Like, this is gorgeous.
07:08Thank you so much.
07:09You know, you have done so many things.
07:12You have been a judge, a host, a designer.
07:15You've lived the runway experience.
07:16And.
07:17And.
07:17I was in the Devil Wears Prada, the first one.
07:20Which is so exciting.
07:22Oh, my God.
07:22I put that on my list.
07:23I mean, if you blinked, you missed it, so.
07:25Nobody blinked during the first one.
07:27You're an OG DWP.
07:29Ah!
07:30Well, was there any moment on this carpet where you felt like you had stepped inside the film?
07:35I mean, the energy is crazy.
07:36Yeah, because for everyone who's at home and you don't see it, like, it is, like, made like a runway.
07:41So you have this long runway with the photographers on the side.
07:44So you kind of feel like, you know, everyone can feel like a model today here at this premiere, which
07:48is fabulous.
07:49And I have to say, everyone is looking really, really fine.
07:52Like, gorgeous outfits.
07:53Everyone did stellar hair and makeup.
07:55So they really gave it some today for this premiere.
07:58Yeah, they're really serving.
07:59They're really serving.
07:59I don't want to say ad vida zen.
08:00But I have to.
08:01Thank you so much for stopping by.
08:02Ad vida zen actually doesn't mean anything bad.
08:04Oh.
08:04Well.
08:05It just means I see you again.
08:06Okay.
08:06Well, ad vida zen to you soon.
08:09Ad vida zen.
08:09And there's more to come.
08:11Please stay tuned.
08:13Thank you, Heidi.
08:14Oh, my God.
08:14That was so fun.
08:15Mwah.
08:15Mwah.
08:16I am here with Patrick Bramwell, who plays Peter.
08:19Yes.
08:19Now, what can you tell us about Peter and how does he connect with our favorite Devil Wears Prada character?
08:24Before we go into that, I want to talk about this trench coat.
08:27Oh.
08:27It's unbelievable.
08:28Oh, thank you.
08:29It might seem good on the screen, but live, it's like dazzling.
08:32You're very kind.
08:32It's like big Tracy meets I don't even know what.
08:35Oh, thank you.
08:35I'm very excited about it.
08:36I'm very excited about your approach.
08:38You're like a rhapsody in mode.
08:39Yeah.
08:40Thank you for drawing attention to this.
08:41This is more expensive than anything I've ever driven, let alone worn.
08:45It's, you're really making it happen.
08:46I love it.
08:47Really, really nice.
08:49So, tell me about your involvement in the Devil Wears Prada 2.
08:52How do you connect to the characters in the movie?
08:56Well, it's a film about a plucky young middle-aged real estate developer from Australia
09:00who comes in and gets involved with a band of, I can't recall the other names of the people in
09:05the cast,
09:05but it's a great show.
09:07I think you're really going to like it.
09:09I do most of my stuff with Anne.
09:11You can't remember anybody in the cast.
09:13Look, Meryl and I have obviously been looking to do something together for a long time.
09:16Of course.
09:17But yeah, so we decided on this one.
09:19No, I work mainly with Anne.
09:20I'm a romantic interest in that.
09:21I play Peter.
09:22Do I have a last name?
09:23I don't know.
09:23We'll see the movie tonight.
09:24I haven't seen it either.
09:25I'll find out if I have a last name.
09:27Let's hope.
09:27But if not, that's so cool.
09:28It's like Cher, Madonna, Peter.
09:30Exactly.
09:30Peter.
09:31I think it's iconic already.
09:33I agree.
09:33We just made it more iconic before anybody's seen it too.
09:36Yeah, I know.
09:37That's the way to do it.
09:38Yeah, that's great.
09:38So most of my stuff with Anne, who insisted on that I call her Annie.
09:41Yes, of course.
09:42And I spent my time trying to adjust to that, you know.
09:44Right.
09:45But playing someone who's falling in love with Anne Hathaway, tough gig.
09:49Yeah.
09:49Tough gig.
09:50I mean the world's most beautiful person according to People Magazine and everybody in here.
09:54And me too.
09:55Yes, and me.
09:56Yeah.
09:56Definitely.
09:57Yeah.
09:57Well, it's so great talking to you.
09:59You too, Brad.
09:59Can't wait to see you in the film.
10:00Thanks, man.
10:01Happy back to you.
10:02Bradley, I love looking at you.
10:04But right now I'm here with Pauline Chalamet.
10:07You look gorgeous.
10:08You look gorgeous.
10:09Stop it.
10:10No, we're opposites.
10:10I already like you.
10:11We are opposites.
10:12I want to know, what was it like joining the cast of Devil Wears Prada?
10:17What was that experience like?
10:18What was that call like?
10:19Or email?
10:20Call, call.
10:21Okay, good, good, good.
10:22No, it was so exciting.
10:23My days on set were just, I can't, I'm still pinching myself.
10:28I'm so excited to see it.
10:29I haven't seen it.
10:30It's just, oh my God.
10:32Well, you play Alana, right?
10:34Yes.
10:34What can you tell us?
10:35I'm not giving anything away.
10:37I would never ask that of you.
10:38What can you tell us about this character, Alana?
10:41Um, Alana is a beauty editor at Runway.
10:44Um, and that's about all that I can say.
10:47Um, but no, it was really, it was really fun.
10:51And it was really cool.
10:52Like, just the, the set and everything was just so well done.
10:56It's such a universe that they've created.
10:58And it was unbelievable.
11:00Like, getting to shoot, obviously, in the studio was cool,
11:03but also in some of the locations that we shot on in New York City,
11:05it was like, it felt like it was the movie from 2006.
11:09But I, I, yeah, it was, it was a pinch me moment the entire time.
11:13Oh my.
11:13I feel like I'm part of the cast.
11:15I've like, adopted your excitement.
11:17Thank you so much for stopping by.
11:18Yeah, it's the first.
11:18I love chatting with you.
11:19I'm so excited to see you play Alana.
11:21Yeah, thank you.
11:21And there is more, say it with me, to come.
11:27All right.
11:28I am here with Justin Theroux, who plays Benji.
11:32Welcome to the world of Devil Wears Prada 2.
11:35Oh my God, it's so good to be here.
11:36Thanks for having me.
11:38We're so happy to have you.
11:40And congratulations, by the way, on your newborn baby boy.
11:43My new baby boy.
11:44Yeah.
11:45The best.
11:45Yeah, now you're a dad.
11:47I'm a dad.
11:48Amazing.
11:49Congratulations.
11:50A young dad.
11:50Yes, yes.
11:51That's awesome.
11:53So did you have a memorable day on set?
11:56Yes.
11:57Every day was memorable.
11:59Every day was memorable.
12:00Yeah.
12:01Just because I'm working with some good friends.
12:04I'm working with new people.
12:07And then I got to have sort of a nice little juicy scene with Meryl Streep, which was also wonderful.
12:15And had you guys worked together before or no?
12:16I know.
12:17And what was that like?
12:18I mean, it's...
12:19You know what?
12:20It was anticlimactic in the best way in that she approaches everything just like a normal actor does.
12:29A good actor does.
12:31And so, of course, I had nerves going into it, but she was wonderful.
12:36She's a wonderful actress.
12:38Breaking news.
12:39She's a very good...
12:40That's huge news.
12:41Meryl Streep's really good.
12:42Yeah, she's really, really good.
12:44She's pretty good at this.
12:44Yeah, exactly.
12:45Is there anything you can tell us?
12:47A little tiny tidbit about your character?
12:49Are you under serious raps?
12:51I'm kind of under raps.
12:52I kind of got mixed signals.
12:53It was like you're on...
12:54Can't say much about your character.
12:56But he's really...
12:58He's very funny.
12:59And he's an idiot.
13:02And he's...
13:04How do I describe him?
13:06He's kind of like an idiot billionaire.
13:09I don't know if you've ever heard of people like that.
13:11Nah.
13:11But he's like one of those.
13:13Okay, that sounds really awesome.
13:15Yeah.
13:15And what can you tell us about being a part of this incredible Devil Wears Prada 2 extravaganza evening?
13:23I just got here.
13:24So I literally just got here.
13:26It's wild.
13:27So it's wild.
13:27I've been at Lincoln Center many times.
13:29This has not happened.
13:30And I've never seen it look like this.
13:31It does not look like this when you come to the ballet.
13:34Well, that's what we do.
13:35That's what we do.
13:35That's what we do.
13:36The Devil Wears Prada 2.
13:37Blast it out.
13:38Well, I'm so excited to see the film.
13:39Thanks, man.
13:40Thanks.
13:40So good seeing you.
13:41I hope you like it.
13:42Gary sends his love.
13:43Give my love to Gary.
13:44Where is Gary?
13:44I think he's watching right now.
13:45I'm looking at Gary like he's in one of the cameras.
13:47Imagine he was just here.
13:48I would love it if he was here.
13:50I'm going to see him inside apparently.
13:51You will.
13:52I can't wait.
13:52He's going to be here.
13:53He's really looking forward to it.
13:54Me too.
13:54All right, Justin.
13:55Thank you so much.
13:56So great seeing you.
13:57See you too.
14:05These are my favorite moments on the red carpet where I get to see my friends.
14:09Yes.
14:09And my new friends.
14:10I'm here with Paige Asorbo and Christian Siriano.
14:13Okay.
14:14And devastatingly enough, I asked her, did you get a spray tan too?
14:17She goes, natural.
14:18No, I laid in the sun, which I feel like it's frowned upon, but whatever, I did it.
14:22You're spoiled.
14:22I oiled up.
14:24I should have.
14:24I can hook you up.
14:26But tell me a little bit about what Paige is wearing tonight.
14:29Shunning, custom Siriano, gorgeous.
14:31A little bow in the back, a little glamour.
14:34Yes.
14:34Like a present.
14:35I mean, I feel like I have watched you dress icons, real women.
14:41Yeah.
14:41If you were dressing Andy Sachs today, what do you think you would put her in?
14:46How would you even begin that?
14:48I mean, a look might make the cut in the film, so we'll see.
14:51Oh my God.
14:52I dressed a lot of people in the film this year, so mostly for the Met look.
14:55But you never know what makes the cut, so we'll see.
14:57You never know what makes the cut.
14:59You know, like something dramatic, but elegant.
15:02Yes.
15:03And yes, that's how I feel.
15:05I feel dramatic and elegant, so he nailed that.
15:07That's how people describe me, I think.
15:08Yeah.
15:10Do you remember the first time you watched the film or like a line that impacted you?
15:15Okay, do you remember on Canal Street, you used to be able to buy like bootleg DVDs?
15:201000%.
15:21So when the movie came out, I remember I was in eighth grade, I think.
15:25You bought that.
15:25My dad went to Canal Street, bought me the bootleg version so I could watch it in the car ride
15:29home, and it changed my whole life.
15:32Wow.
15:32I believe it.
15:32Changed my whole life.
15:33I haven't moved glacial since.
15:35Back to you, Brad.
15:37I miss you.
15:37I miss you too so much, Teffi.
15:40I am so excited to be here with Helen Jay Shen.
15:43Hi.
15:44Last time we saw each other was backstage at Maybe Happy Ending.
15:47Yes.
15:47And Darren Criss said to me, big things are about to happen for you.
15:51And here we are.
15:52Congratulations.
15:53Alluding to The Devil Wears Prada 2.
15:55Exactly.
15:55So what can you tell us about your role in The Devil Wears Prada 2?
15:59Yes.
16:00I play Jin.
16:01She is Annie's new assistant.
16:03I had so much fun playing her.
16:05She is like a new, fresh take on how an assistant can be five steps ahead and think of some
16:14solutions to problems that people might not have anticipated before.
16:19Right.
16:19I totally get that.
16:21And being a new member of The Runway family, do you remember when you got onto set, do you remember
16:28the first time you saw the movie?
16:30And did you have kind of a moment of like, oh my goodness, what am I doing here?
16:34Honestly, because I'm playing Andy's assistant, I got to work a lot with Anne Hathaway.
16:39And growing up, I'm a New Jersey kid.
16:41Yes.
16:42And so we, Paper Mill Playhouse talked a lot about Anne Hathaway and we had the same acting teacher growing
16:47up.
16:48Wow.
16:48So it was a very full circle moment to be able to say that to Anne and to talk about
16:53Mickey McNanny, our wonderful, wonderful acting teacher.
16:56Um, and to feel like I, I, I made it in a way where little Helen would have, would have
17:03lost her mind to know where she was standing.
17:06Oh, that's amazing.
17:07And I'm losing my mind over your dress.
17:09You look beautiful.
17:09Who are you wearing tonight?
17:10Lace.
17:11L-E-I-S.
17:12Yeah.
17:12Better work.
17:13It looks beautiful.
17:14Yes.
17:15Work it.
17:16Well, it's so nice to see you again.
17:18Nice to see you again.
17:19And Taffy, who you got for us?
17:21I have the elite honor of having Rachel Bloom next to me, also known as Talia.
17:28Talia in this movie.
17:29Yes.
17:29In this movie.
17:30Soon to be the breakout.
17:31There you go.
17:32Amazing.
17:32I cannot wait to watch, but you look so v-vaboom.
17:35I'm like v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-va.
17:38My goal is to make your eyes roll out like an animation work and goes go doda good e dod
17:43omega.
17:43And you have to roll it back up.
17:45Roger Rabbit type.
17:46But you get it.
17:47She gets it.
17:48Your character in the movie brings a new perspective to Andy's personal life.
17:52Yes.
17:52Is that true?
17:53I tell her that she should write a book.
17:55You tell her she should write a book.
17:56Write a tell all book about Miranda.
17:58Okay
17:58It's very meta.
18:00Because one does write a tell all book about Miranda.
18:03And do you mean, I mean, I can't imagine a more giggly Silly Goose set.
18:07Do you remember a time you laughed the hardest on set?
18:12There was a whole, it was a cut run, but it was about how Andy used to wear a fedora.
18:17And we just got to riff that Andy had a terrible fedora phase.
18:22And that was really fun.
18:23And they let us just go for like 20 minutes.
18:26And I was like, I don't know if this is going to be in there,
18:27but we know a lot about Andy's fedora.
18:29It was like a yes and moment.
18:31It was pure improv.
18:32Yeah, and Annie's a great, I can say Annie, because I like, she's a great improviser,
18:40just like very from her instinct.
18:42And I was like, you should take improv classes, forgetting that she's an A-list celebrity.
18:46She doesn't have time to take a 101 improv class.
18:48But I was like, you'd really like it.
18:50When I call her Annie, I'm like, Rachel said I could.
18:54Well, do you remember the first time you saw the film?
18:57I remember watching it in theaters.
19:00And when I tell like my assistant that, she acts like it's Casablanca.
19:03I saw it in theaters.
19:04But you know what I really remember is I was desperate to get an agent coming out of college.
19:08And I went to this thing that was clearly a scam.
19:11It was like an agency scam where it was like, we'll make you a star.
19:14And they had all of us in this cattle call room.
19:16It was like adults and kids.
19:17And they were just playing the devil wears Prada on loop as if to be like, see, this is the
19:22height of luxury.
19:23And our scam is also the height of luxury.
19:26And I always like thought of that.
19:29And so, you know, years later, Aline Brash McKenna, who wrote this movie, became my writing partner for the show
19:33Crazy Ex-Girlfriend.
19:34And I feel like that's the first thing I thought of.
19:36I was like, you were the idea of glamour for even this scam that I almost fell for.
19:42Maybe scamming is the new glam.
19:44You don't know.
19:44I mean, kind of is, right?
19:46Everyone's just running a grift now.
19:48That's something to chew on.
19:49And I'm going to chew on that.
19:51Good segue.
19:52Thank you so much.
19:53That's why they pay me the medium bucks.
19:54Now let's check on Sophie.
19:57This is the Devil Wears 2 exclusive popcorn bucket that you only get in theaters on May 1st.
20:04Fashion is everything to this franchise.
20:07Anne Hathaway has nearly 50 outfit changes in this second movie.
20:10Meryl Streep has nearly 30.
20:12And we've seen some amazing outfit changes on the press tour.
20:15Meryl Streep alone has worn Prada, Chanel, YSL, Celine, and that Cerulean blue sweater.
20:21Will we see it tonight on the red carpet?
20:22Only time will tell.
20:24More to come.
20:33I am here with my friend, Wisdom.
20:35Wisdom, how are you?
20:36Good to see you.
20:37I'm good.
20:37I'm good.
20:38You are so iconic.
20:40I would love for you to tell me about your outfit.
20:42Oh, my God.
20:42Okay.
20:43You're never underdressed, my friend.
20:44I thought I was overdressed, actually, to be honest.
20:46There's a lot of players that play here.
20:48Dries Van Noten, the Coke, Valentino, Necklace, Luis Gabriel Nucci, Rick Owens, Dior, Chrome
20:56Hearts.
20:56A lot of different things I just pulled together.
20:58You know, and I have to say, you're in good company because Meryl and Stanley are also wearing
21:04their glasses.
21:05There we go.
21:05You're like a loser.
21:07It's an insider's secret.
21:08You know, but they, okay, well, I'm an outsider.
21:11Well, they got up on my feathers.
21:14But, you know, you are so influential.
21:17You know, the last time I interviewed you, it was on the carpet of the Met Gala, literally.
21:20Yeah, yeah, yeah.
21:21And don't worry, I was behind the ropes, kids.
21:24But I want to know, what do you feel is the most important thing before you post an outfit?
21:29How does fashion feel good to you?
21:30What are you trying to communicate?
21:32I think it really depends on what the message is.
21:34There's so many different messages that I like to send.
21:36I like to inspire people to be themselves, try different things, to go out there and be
21:40different, but also be comfortable with what they want to do and find ways to experiment
21:43within that.
21:44So, it's just a multi-step journey depending on what the message is, you know?
21:47Yeah, I feel like people need to remember that it's okay to get a little weird, to get
21:51a little eccentric.
21:53No, no, you can get weird.
21:53Yeah.
21:54You know, I don't want to look like, you know, a beige and bone and cream.
21:57Sometimes you've got to get a little kooky.
21:59I agree.
22:00I remember watching the fashion for the first Devil Wears Prada and being like, I am not doing
22:04enough.
22:05Do you remember the first movie?
22:06Do you have an outfit that sticks out in your mind?
22:11It's been so long.
22:12I've seen that movie like eight times, but a lot of them were when I was like younger.
22:17So, I'm trying to think.
22:18I think anything Meryl wore in that movie, I definitely was like gagged, officially.
22:21The Chanel boots really got me.
22:23The Chanel boots.
22:24I was like 16, I'm like, noted.
22:27I need to get those Chanel boots.
22:28Yeah.
22:29But I do feel like this, that for that movie, they had a hard time getting outfits.
22:35Now, they have over 50 outfit changes in this movie.
22:40Which is crazy.
22:40If you were to style Miranda Priestly, what would you do?
22:44I know, I think I know what you're going to say.
22:46If, I have this feeling that if I try selling Miranda Priestly, she would look at me in the
22:50face and tell me to go home.
22:51I think that she would love a little Chrome Hearts.
22:56So, yeah, that's my, I feel like that'd be the outcome.
22:59And you would say, I'm just happy to be here.
23:01I was happy to be here.
23:02I'd go home proudly.
23:03Held my head up high.
23:04Thank you so much for stopping by.
23:06You look amazing.
23:06Oh, thank you.
23:07You look great.
23:07Always good to see you.
23:08Can you do me a favor and tell everybody at home, stay tuned, there's more.
23:10Stay tuned, there's more.
23:12To come.
23:16Well, the energy in here is absolutely electric tonight, but
23:20it's not just the star power, it's the style for sure.
23:24We've seen so many great looks from avant-garde risks to timeless glamour.
23:28Tonight's arrivals are giving us absolutely everything and more.
23:33Let's take a look at who's wearing what around the carpet.
23:38I'm living for this necklace.
23:41This is such a great look.
23:43I love it when men push it.
23:45And accessories, I mean, come on.
23:47As we've all seen from the Devil Wears product, accessories are very important.
23:51Coco Rocha, of course, wearing Christian Siriano.
23:54She is the queen of posing, mama.
23:57You should have seen her working this carpet.
23:59June Ambrose.
24:01She is always a fashion darling.
24:03It looks like she might be wearing Marc Jacobs.
24:05I love it.
24:07I'm super obsessed with this red suit.
24:10This is so incredible.
24:12The men are really bringing the fashion tonight.
24:15It's so much fun in here.
24:17I've been waiting all night for this part to see what everybody is wearing.
24:20We have a major moment here.
24:22I love New York, love a bubble ham.
24:26We are eagerly awaiting Anne Hathaway, Meryl Streep, Emily Blunt, Stanley Tucci, so many more to come.
24:33But this carpet is honestly iconic already.
24:45Okay, we're live Brooklyn, sir.
24:46For a second, one, two, three.
24:49Okay.
24:50Now that we're done serving.
24:51Now that we're done serving.
24:52Do you remember when you first saw the movie?
24:53What stood out to you?
24:54The fashion, the shade.
24:56The Miranda-ness.
24:57The Miranda-ness.
24:58All of, like, her lines are just so iconic in it.
25:01I mean, the fashion was amazing, but she really made that movie the way she delivered that character.
25:06For me.
25:07I mean, every time it's spring and there's a floral, I shake a little bit.
25:12I go, God, is this?
25:13It was the quiet way.
25:15She just, like, things are so much scarier if you don't yell and you're just really silent and, like, smooth
25:20about it.
25:20I learned so much from her in that movie.
25:22What do you think the difference in red carpets from 2006 to today is?
25:28Stylists.
25:29Oh.
25:30Well, I was recently hearing, like, people were like, do you remember when you used to wear denim on the
25:33carpet?
25:33I'm like, there's one denim outfit that I will always agree upon.
25:37It is Britney and Justin.
25:39Yes, it is.
25:40Absolutely.
25:41But, yeah, I love looking back at, like, the early 2000s, like, the Ashley Tisdales.
25:46The layers of the layers of the layers of the layers.
25:49Oh, I love it.
25:50Well, are you wearing a Miranda Priestly-inspired hairstyle tonight?
25:53I am.
25:54And I have a little nod to Cerulean here in my outfit.
25:57But, yeah, I do a Miranda Priestly impersonation, actually.
26:00Can I please hear it?
26:01It'd be an honor.
26:04That's all.
26:05Oh, my God.
26:06I was, have you ever been an assistant in your life?
26:08No, God, no.
26:09Oh, I was.
26:10Were you?
26:11How was it?
26:12I, well.
26:13Not fun.
26:14Have you ever heard of a personality hire?
26:16I would be a good assistant, though, because I like being behind the scenes and helping people.
26:21What do you think makes a good assistant?
26:23Two qualities.
26:24Two qualities.
26:25Organization.
26:26Okay.
26:27And how do you say it when, like, you can, you know someone's needs before they know them?
26:33Anticipatory.
26:34There you go.
26:34I have neither of those.
26:35Brad, let's check in with you.
26:37I love you, Brooklyn.
26:38That was so fun.
26:40I am here with BJ Novak, who plays Jay.
26:44Jay Rabbits.
26:45What can you tell us about Jay?
26:47Anything?
26:47I guess I could, can I say everything now?
26:49Please say everything.
26:50Please, please, please.
26:52Jay, Jay is the guy who comes in and basically says the party's over.
26:57You know, this is, it's time to become profitable in the new millennium.
27:03Let's go, girls.
27:04And, you know, I think from his point of view, he's going to reinvent this.
27:08And from their point of view, it's the end of an era.
27:11So, in that sense, it's a real, it's a real bad guy role, I would say, in the fashion sense.
27:18And that is what I love to play.
27:21You're very good at it.
27:23Do you have a very, what's your most memorable moment from set?
27:28Or a day or anything?
27:29I mean, look, the first day we shot, I was so nervous.
27:33My first day in this movie, I'm acting with Meryl.
27:35It's also her first day back.
27:36I didn't realize until later.
27:37In 20 years.
27:38So, she was nervous, too.
27:39It's funny to think of someone like that as nervous.
27:42And I had been working out, getting ready for this role.
27:45And I was rehearsing in my t-shirt.
27:47And I guess, like, you know, I'm not a buff guy, but I have been working out a bit.
27:53That's not true.
27:54And Meryl, thank you.
27:54And Meryl says, BJ, have you always been so strong?
27:59And it was in that teasing where, like, who do you think you are, you know?
28:02Right.
28:03And then I knocked over a tray in the cafeteria and caused a huge, sort of loud commotion.
28:08And in a quarter second, she said, it's all those muscles.
28:12And, you know, like, the sort of trash talk from this icon, it put me at ease.
28:19It made me feel like this was a comedy as well, whereas where I feel comfortable.
28:23So, I don't know.
28:24You asked me what was memorable.
28:25That was memorable.
28:25That's super memorable.
28:26Now I need you to drop the workout routine.
28:28Oh, it's like very, it's nothing special.
28:32I'm sure yours is way better.
28:33Push, pull.
28:34Yeah, basically.
28:35Mine's okay.
28:35Okay.
28:35Yeah, it's pretty good.
28:36Justin Theroux.
28:37We got to get him over here.
28:38Yeah, actually.
28:40He was just here.
28:40I never asked him about it.
28:41That guy was like a 12-pack.
28:42Oh, my goodness.
28:43That was a very big missed opportunity.
28:45What?
28:46Not asking Justin to throw his workout routine.
28:48Yeah, dude.
28:49We got to find that out.
28:50All right.
28:51Well, this was amazing.
28:53I enjoyed talking to you.
28:55We're going back to chat.
28:56I hope you got usable stuff.
28:58All right.
28:58Ready?
29:02I am standing next to the fabulous Yurika Queen.
29:05And, you know, usually I try to avoid, what are you wearing?
29:09But I need to know, what are you wearing?
29:11Take me through this process.
29:13Well, hello, distinguished panel of the universe.
29:16I am wearing original Yurika Queen.
29:19Oh, my God.
29:20I made this.
29:21Couture.
29:21Yes.
29:22Couture.
29:22Couture.
29:23Uh-huh.
29:23And I am the physical embodiment of the devil's heel itself.
29:28I collaborated with an incredible ceramicist.
29:31Uh-huh.
29:31His name is Brady Fanning.
29:33We love you, Brady.
29:34They're just incredible.
29:36And so I wanted to just bring a little bit of that danger that we see on the movie poster.
29:40Uh-huh.
29:41Do you remember the first time you saw this movie or did you watch it?
29:45Because some people are like, oh, my God, I didn't watch it.
29:47And then I did later.
29:48But you watched it when it was first out?
29:49Yes.
29:50Okay.
29:50I watched it when I was in high school.
29:52Me too.
29:52And, I mean, just studded with stars.
29:56And it's a really inspirational film.
29:58And I'm obsessed.
29:59And on Drag Race, on season 13, we got to meet Anne Hathaway.
30:04It was the COVID season.
30:06And she phoned in and we got to talk to her and she talked to the rest of the queens.
30:11And it was just so, like, amazing.
30:14And so this feels like a full circle moment where, like, this movie has, you know, of course, inspired my
30:20design work.
30:21Uh-huh.
30:22But then going on Drag Race and now Project Runway, like, it's a dream.
30:26And to be here, it's just, it's a treat.
30:29You know, Brad, your turn.
30:35I am here with David Frankel, director of Devil Wears Prada.
30:39We were just having such a great conversation because I watched the original.
30:44And it's such a masterpiece on so many levels.
30:48The way you deal with it has heart, it has comedy, it has fight and edge.
30:54Why is now the right time for the Devil Wears Prada 2?
30:59Well, first of all, I think we all could use a little joy in our lives.
31:03But that's kind of what we feel when we got to the end of it and realized we made something
31:08that inspires joy.
31:11But I think we wanted to revisit these characters.
31:15We had enormous curiosity about where they were and what happened to them.
31:19And for a long time, it didn't feel like they could ever cross paths again.
31:23You know, Andy threw her phone in the fountain and Meryl drove off in her car and that was the
31:28end.
31:28And they were headed in totally different directions.
31:30And yet, you know, the world of media and journalism has transformed so profoundly over the last 20 years
31:38that we thought maybe there's a way to get them back together and see how they deal with that transformation.
31:45And what was it like reuniting the cast?
31:47I mean, it's such an iconic cast of characters and of actors, of course.
31:52What was it like getting everybody together?
31:54I mean, it's thrilling.
31:55We're a family.
31:56And for all of us, the first movie was so formative.
31:59It meant so much to all of us.
32:01It was the start of enormous careers for Annie and Emily.
32:05And it made Meryl a global icon in a new way.
32:10And it elevated Stanley.
32:13So it changed all our lives.
32:15And that bonds you in a way.
32:17And so for us to step back on the set together was just a very, very happy experience.
32:22And the script, I mean, the script is so incredible with iconic lines.
32:28I hope we can see more of those.
32:30I wish Aline got a penny for every time somebody quoted or put one of her lines on a tote
32:34bag.
32:35But Aline Brosh McKenna wrote the first screenplay.
32:38She wrote this script.
32:39Brilliant writing throughout.
32:41And she's really my creative partner.
32:45And we've had a fantastic time collaborating.
32:47I can't wait to see the film.
32:49We're going over to Sophie.
32:51You guys, the Core 4 has arrived.
32:55And Hathaway has arrived.
32:56Meryl Streep stepping out of her van onto the red carpet.
33:00Emily Blunt has arrived.
33:01Stanley Tucci.
33:03It has been 20 years since the Core 4 has been back together.
33:06And now they are back here at Lincoln Center.
33:10Meryl Streep looking absolutely beautiful in this orange, dare I say red, almost fiery, gorgeous
33:19leather outfit.
33:21The signature glasses.
33:23Very Anna Wintour of her here on the red carpet.
33:26We also saw Anne Hathaway looking absolutely beautiful in a red gown.
33:31And if you look up there, Emily Blunt, John Krasinski, her husband.
33:36Emily is back.
33:38Of course, her character is named Emily in the film as well.
33:41Emily Blunt credits that first movie for really helping her find her sense of fashion.
33:49They are looking absolutely beautiful here tonight at the world premiere of The Devil Wears Prada 2.
34:00I am here with Caleb Harris, who plays Charlie in Devil Wears Prada 2.
34:06What can you tell us about being the second assistant to Miranda Priestly?
34:12Charlie is just so happy to be there.
34:14Alina and I talked a lot about how Nigel talks about reading Runway under the covers as a kid.
34:19And I think Charlie, same thing.
34:20And so he's just thrilled to be there.
34:22And how about your relationship with Simone Ashley, who plays Amari?
34:27You know, the assistant one and assistant two roles were so iconic in the first film.
34:32How has it changed for 2026?
34:35Yeah, I mean, Simone is so iconic and fierce.
34:39Like, it's crazy.
34:39Every day I would get to set and be like, God, I just, I love her.
34:42And she's so warm and lovely.
34:43And her character in the movie is very, like, business and very serious.
34:47And so it was a lot of fun to play.
34:49She gets to be a little mean to me in the movie.
34:50It was fun.
34:51Oh, good.
34:52We love that.
34:53We like being mean to every so often.
34:54Yeah, for sure.
34:56And you have said that being an assistant informed the way that you played this role.
35:01What were you bringing from real life into this role?
35:05Oh, my gosh.
35:05Like, every time, any time that Miranda would walk by in a scene or, like, be in the background,
35:10I was always sitting up straighter.
35:11You know how you, like, pretend to work when your boss is watching?
35:13Of course.
35:14Like, stuff like that and just, like, also, like, the way that you, the way that you pretend
35:18to be busy when anyone walks by.
35:20And, well, also, he's, like, chained to his desk.
35:22And that was real.
35:24I can't wait to see.
35:25All right.
35:25We're going back to Sophie.
35:29You guys, are you seeing what I'm seeing?
35:32It is the core four.
35:33They are back together, and they look better than ever.
35:36Anne Hathaway in this dazzling red gown, matching red shoes as well.
35:41Stanley Tucci really going for that feminine menswear, very on theme for this second movie.
35:47You know, he has been, he has said that the one thing he took from the first movie was a
35:52tie.
35:53I can't confirm if it was exactly that tie, but he does look dazzling.
35:58Meryl Streep in that kind of orange-red leather outfit, and Emily Blunt looking edgy like her
36:04character in the film.
36:06Everyone just looking absolutely beautiful.
36:07I can't even describe to you the energy when they arrive.
36:11There are so many fans across the street from here, across the street from the red carpet,
36:15who are buzzing, I mean, yelling, screaming their names.
36:20This is such an unbelievable moment to be a part of, and we can't wait to see more.
36:24But, of course, we have so much more to come, so stay with us here on the red carpet.
36:35I am here with Aline Brosh McKenna, who wrote The Devil Wears Prada, and you gave us so many iconic
36:42lines.
36:43You gave us a language for the past 20 years.
36:47How have you brought it into 20 years later?
36:50Oh, my God.
36:51How can you top what you've already done?
36:53You know what?
36:53So much has happened, and fashion, publishing, journalism, and we felt like there was a lot
36:59to say, and we wanted to revisit these characters and these iconic actors.
37:03And honestly, it's just been a dream.
37:05I mean, to be standing here listening to Vogue playing and talking to you and seeing all this
37:11excitement, it's really incredible.
37:12I mean, this is what I do every day, honestly.
37:14I try to come every day to a red carpet.
37:16I look like this every day.
37:18No, it's been an incredible opportunity to get to work with these four incredible leads
37:23and all the rest of our cast.
37:24I'm so excited for everyone to see the rest of our cast and our incredible director, David
37:29Frankel.
37:29It's been great.
37:30And why do you think now was the perfect moment?
37:33Well, it feels like there's so much happening.
37:36There's so much to think about in terms of where these businesses are going.
37:41And then it was so fun to think about what these characters would be doing in a world
37:46where so much is up in the air and so much is changing.
37:49And so there was a lot to think about, a lot to talk about, and a lot to explore with
37:53these
37:53characters and these actors.
37:55So it was really, it was an amazing opportunity, and I can't believe it.
38:01Here we are.
38:02And how do you get back into these characters' minds?
38:05Did you ever leave?
38:06No.
38:07Right.
38:07I have always carried them around with me.
38:09I always imagined whenever I get a coffee and it's the wrong coffee, I always imagined
38:14what Miranda Priestly would say.
38:16And, you know, I've always thought about them, and they've really stayed with me, as I think
38:21they've stayed with a lot of people.
38:22And so being able to create new moments with them and with the director, yeah, it was really,
38:28it felt like a great time to do it.
38:30And when we saw them all together at the SAG Awards, and we saw how funny they were, and
38:37it felt like it was a great opportunity to see, to send them back out to play.
38:41Well, it definitely feels like the right time.
38:44I'm so excited to see the film.
38:46Thank you, Brad.
38:46We've got more to come.
38:47We did it.
38:51We did it.
38:52We did it.
39:27Emily Blunt is walking the runway right now.
39:31She looks absolutely stunning, wearing Schiaparelli haute couture.
39:35That was definitely one of the key looks from Daniel Roseberry's iconic collection.
39:42Stanley Tucci looking extra chic in his sunglasses.
39:46Meryl and Anne, both sporting red, looking absolutely iconic, like both of their characters.
39:54The Prada 4 is here, ladies and gentlemen.
39:58We have them here.
40:00I'm so excited to talk to them just momentarily.
40:03The vibe in here is absolutely incredible.
40:07I just can't wait to interview them and talk to them.
40:15We are having such a great time here.
40:18So many stars, so many amazing looks.
40:21Exactly what you would expect from a premiere of this caliber.
40:25Everybody is waiting to see the Devil Wears Prada 2.
40:28We have been hearing about it for years now,
40:31and tonight is the night.
40:34And we have all of the cast here.
40:36I'm so excited to talk to them, talk to them about their fashion,
40:40maybe get some spoilers for the film.
40:42I don't know.
40:43I'm trying really hard, you guys.
40:44But the crowd here is absolutely incredible.
40:48Everybody is absolutely so excited to see this film this evening.
40:56Teppi, how's it going over there?
41:00I have full body chills.
41:02You want me to have an opinion?
41:05Meryl Streep in those gloves, Brad.
41:07And you predicted that Emily was going to wear Schiaparelli.
41:10You need to play the lotto.
41:12Listen, you know, I know my stuff.
41:14I know my stuff.
41:19I literally cannot believe the moment that Meryl walked in
41:23and then Anne Hathaway right behind her.
41:25Like, are you ready to talk to them?
41:28I'm 100% and ready.
41:30I've been preparing for this for my entire life, I feel like.
41:33Oh my God, Anna Wintour.
41:34Anna Wintour has arrived, of course.
41:37Oh my God.
41:38Wait, weren't you?
41:39The other queen of fashion.
41:40She is the other queen of fashion.
41:41Didn't you work at Vogue when this movie came out in 2006?
41:45Listen, I was lucky.
41:46I got to be an intern at Vogue.
41:48So I will also just say everything in The Devil Wears Prada is true.
41:52Wait, tell me a little bit about what you're wearing tonight.
41:55Oh, I am wearing just a little Saint Laurent outfit.
41:59I'm wearing a little feathers.
42:00What do you think about it?
42:01You look absolutely stunning.
42:03And so do Anne, Meryl, Emily, and Stanley.
42:08Absolutely incredible.
42:09Do you feel like working and interning at Vogue, did it feel very similar to the movie?
42:15It did.
42:16You know, I was actually there in 2004, so it was a couple years before the movie.
42:20But when it came out, I was like, I've done a lot of that stuff.
42:24I used to run across Times Square with coffees and juices, and I got to go in that big Vogue
42:30closet.
42:31It was actually totally a dream come true.
42:33So getting to be here tonight is amazing.
42:36Wait, did you say that you got to go into the closet?
42:39Of course.
42:40And I came back out in a big way.
42:43Brad, you have to tell me what was in that closet.
42:45What do you remember in that closet?
42:46I remember folding Hermes scarves for hours because they were silk and they were just like
42:51all puddled in the drawers.
42:57Walk.
42:58I'm feeling fab.
42:59I'm feeling free.
43:00I feel exceptional.
43:02Hate all you want, but I'm dangerous.
43:04You're going to burn your tongue on this tee.
43:06Might show up late.
43:07Might be on time to walk.
43:09Yeah.
43:09I feel like nothing.
43:10I am here with Meryl Streep and Stanley Tucci, Miranda and Nigel together.
43:17What was it like reuniting and stepping into your character's shoes after 20 years?
43:24It was like, why did it take so long?
43:28Yes, exactly.
43:29It was like riding a bicycle.
43:32You kind of forget when you get old.
43:36So it was really fun.
43:38Yeah, it was fun.
43:38And what iconic lines, Meryl, do most people come up to you and say of Miranda's?
43:44Like, what would you say is the most?
43:45That's all.
43:47And that's all.
43:48We're done.
43:49We're finished.
43:50And the fashion in the movie, do you guys both have a favorite look from the movie?
43:55I don't have a favorite look.
43:57I loved it all.
43:58I loved everything that he appeared in.
44:01I thought he looked unbelievably great.
44:04And what did you think of Meryl?
44:06What did you think of Miranda's, Stanley?
44:07I thought she was more beautiful than 20 years ago.
44:11Absolutely.
44:12Totally.
44:13Him and his failing eyes.
44:14But I love you.
44:15I love you too.
44:16What can fans expect from the Double Wears prodigy?
44:19So much has changed in the industry over the past 20 years.
44:23What would you say the fans can kind of expect?
44:28Fun.
44:29Music.
44:31Color.
44:33And underpinning of serious crazy.
44:37And exactly what you said.
44:41I mean, those changes in the industry and the world are addressed significantly in the film.
44:48And Nigel is still at runway as the creative director.
44:52Is this correct?
44:52Yes.
44:53He's my left hand.
44:58All this time later and still a duo.
45:02That's pretty impressive.
45:03That's very, very impressive.
45:05Well, we made the Double Wears Prada and then we got married in Julia and Julia.
45:08We did, yeah.
45:09Of course.
45:10Then we did the Double Wears Prada again.
45:12Yeah.
45:12And now we're going to do Julia and Julia again.
45:15We've decided.
45:16No one else knows that.
45:17Yeah.
45:18Great.
45:18Well, you heard it here first, right?
45:20Yeah.
45:21So, Stanley, you're an amazing cook.
45:24What would you cook for Miranda Priestley?
45:27Steak.
45:29Good call.
45:30And Meryl, you've looked absolutely incredible on this entire press tour.
45:34Oh, thank you.
45:35Just absolutely amazing.
45:37What are you wearing this evening?
45:39Givenchy.
45:40Wow.
45:41It's absolutely stunning.
45:43Lava.
45:43Yes.
45:44Yes.
45:44It's gorgeous.
45:45And Stanley?
45:46Armani.
45:47Armani.
45:48Absolutely incredible.
45:50And is there, speaking of clothing, did either of you take a piece of clothing or an accessory
45:55from set?
45:56No, we're auctioning it off.
45:58Oh.
45:58We're auctioning the clothes off and the jewelry and the bags and the shoes for the committee
46:04to protect journalists.
46:06Oh, fantastic.
46:07That's absolutely amazing.
46:08Well, it's truly an honor to speak to both of you.
46:11Nice to talk to you.
46:12And I cannot wait to see the film.
46:14I'm so excited.
46:15Thank you so much for taking the time.
46:17Thank you so much.
47:02I'm here with Lucy Liu, who plays Sasha in The Devil Wears Prada 2.
47:06Now, you're new to The Devil Wears Prada world.
47:09Yes.
47:10What can you tell us about Sasha?
47:12She's pretty fierce.
47:14And she doesn't take any prisoners.
47:16Oh.
47:17And she shows up when she needs to.
47:19Those are my clues.
47:21That's all I can say.
47:23Well, I can't wait to see her show up when she needs to.
47:25And you are definitely showing up tonight.
47:27Oh, thanks.
47:28You look incredible.
47:28Who are you wearing?
47:30I'm wearing George.
47:31Come on.
47:31Go bye.
47:32Beautiful.
47:33George.
47:33Go bye.
47:34So gorgeous.
47:35Did you have a special, memorable moment on set that you recall?
47:39I mean, working with Annie and Meryl in the same scene was pretty amazing in this particular
47:46movie because it's something that's so iconic.
47:50So you kind of drop into this world that's been existing for the last 20 years.
47:56And being in the sequel was just very special.
47:58So I just felt really aligned with what was going on.
48:02And it was nice to, you know, drop in and I guess have a moment with them.
48:08Major.
48:08Well, I can't wait to see your moment.
48:11Can't wait to see the film.
48:12It's always good seeing you.
48:13You too.
48:13You too.
48:14Thanks for having me.
48:15More to come.
48:47Hello, everybody.
48:48I am here with Emily Blunt, Emily, of course, and Annie Hathaway.
48:53Hi, Andy Sachs.
48:55I'm so excited to get to talk to both of you.
48:57Thank you so much.
48:58Thanks for having us.
48:59First of all, I would love to cover the fashion because this is major both of you.
49:05What is going on?
49:06Emily Schiaparelli.
49:09Schiaparelli.
49:09Yes.
49:10Home couture.
49:10Yes.
49:11God bless Daniel, who I love so much.
49:15And he let me snatch it off his couture show runway.
49:19Yes, he did because I tried to get it.
49:20I know.
49:21I know.
49:22Jessica Pasta, my stylist, just sort of killed people at dawn for it.
49:27Listen, I would never go up against Jessica Pasta or Aaron Walsh, for that matter.
49:31Tell me about your look, Annie.
49:32I am wearing Louis Vuitton.
49:34Wow.
49:34And I love it.
49:36And I didn't know that we would be having a joyful skirt off.
49:39You are having a very major...
49:41We just keep sort of attacking each other with our skirts.
49:43Speaking of joy, tell me about this film whenever you can.
49:47Where are your characters at right now?
49:49Where do we see them 20 years later?
49:53Everyone's sick of my voice.
49:54I've been doing this for weeks.
49:55Go, go, go.
49:56That's not true.
49:57Emily Charlton now has a lot of power.
49:59God help us.
50:00Oh.
50:00She's a major executive at Dior.
50:03Oh.
50:03And Miranda is ultimately rather beholden to her for the advertising space.
50:09So it's quite a switch up in dynamics.
50:12Although ultimately I think Emily is always in need of mummy's love.
50:17Aren't we all?
50:19Yeah.
50:19Annie, how about you?
50:20Where is Andy all these years later?
50:22I know she returns to runway.
50:24She does return to runway.
50:26So the first line that I read in the script about Andy this time around was,
50:3020 years has done nothing to dim her heart or smarts.
50:33And I just went, oh, okay, great.
50:36She's traveled the world chasing stories.
50:38And now, like I'm sure a lot of people who are here tonight, a lot of people watching,
50:43she's trying to navigate this very unstable world.
50:46I think she's at a time in her life when she wants some security and security is proving
50:50hard to come by.
50:51And so when she gets an invitation to rejoin runway, suddenly the job that she never wanted
50:59seems like a much nicer prospect.
51:02And you'll see why in the film.
51:03I can't wait to see the film.
51:05Now, fashion obviously plays a really big part in the film as well.
51:09For you, Annie, how has Andy's fashion developed?
51:13Because when we first met her, she was a new grad.
51:15And now we're seeing her.
51:17She's lived her life.
51:18She's had the runway experience.
51:20How is that reflected in her style?
51:23I think her style is, dare I say, a little bit cooler.
51:26I think it's more personal.
51:27I think it's more lived in.
51:29I think that, you know, when you're in your, at least when I was in my 20s, I would sometimes
51:33put things on, but I wouldn't know why I was wearing them.
51:36And I couldn't anticipate what it would feel like to live in them.
51:39So you put it on, run out in your life and be like, oh, no, terrible choice, terrible choice.
51:43And I just think that Andy's style reflects that she knows who she is.
51:47She kind of knows what she wants.
51:49And I feel like she is dressing for herself and maybe less for a certain editor's approval.
51:54Oh, I love that.
51:55Major.
51:56And Emily?
51:57I mean, I feel like, I mean, I love how Molly Rogers described my character, the costume designer.
52:06I think maybe because of the types of colors that she wears.
52:10But she was like, I think Emily's like my little swamp monster.
52:14And she kind of is a bit of a swamp monster.
52:16And I mean, very edgy, very punky, slightly bondage-y.
52:21Oh.
52:22But I think it's a fun juxtaposition with how posh she is.
52:25I love that.
52:26Yeah.
52:26Well, I'm so excited to see the film.
52:29I'm such a fan of both of you.
52:30Thank you so much.
52:31As we are of yours.
52:32Oh, thank you, Annie.
52:33And I'm excited for new one-liners.
52:36Yeah, there's some good ones.
52:37Yes.
52:38All right.
52:39It's a nice one.
52:39They just come off of her like perfume.
52:41It's amazing.
52:42And before we go, is there one thing you can say to all of the Devil Wears Prada fans that
52:47are watching right now all over the world?
52:49What do you want them to know about this film?
52:50Dress up, have fun, be together, do it.
52:54I just want to say thank you.
52:56We're literally here because of you.
52:58Because you took us into your hearts and kept us there for 20 years and said, we want
53:03more.
53:03That's why this whole dream has continued for us.
53:06Yours was much nicer than mine.
53:07Mine was like an aggressive demand.
53:09And yours was a word of thanks.
53:11Also, thank you.
53:12So put on your most aggressive skirt and come to it.
53:17I'm going to do that, by the way.
53:18Thank you for the invitation, Annie.
53:20I have some aggressive skirts.
53:22Oh, I want to see them show us your aggressive skirts.
53:25I'll find a way to get them to you.
53:28All right, guys, more to come.
53:30Thank you so much.
53:39So I used to have your job.
53:43Got to go to Paris Fashion Week.
53:46Or a bunch of pieces from the Chanel collection that year.
53:51Do you still have all of it?
53:52No, I gave it away.
53:54What?
53:54Would have been a bit much for a newsroom.
53:57This is you.
53:58Oh!
54:00Who gives away Chanel?
54:08You are here to help us through our current scandal.
54:12Click, click, click, click, click.
54:13Every whack.
54:14But I did not hire you.
54:15And all I need to do is light my time until you fail.
54:18Won't you take the train, dear?
54:20Walk, might show up late, might be on time.
54:23Just wait, I'm coming.
54:24Kick, kick.
54:27I'm going to make something of this job.
54:30You can write a book.
54:31The definitive Miranda Priestley expose.
54:34Made the bridges I burn light my way.
54:39Wait, wait.
54:40I hope that's not what you're wearing to the dinner.
54:42Oh, that's all.
54:46Fendi, we need that.
54:48The Brunello Cuccinelli pants.
54:50Love those.
54:52And you definitely need an embroidered two-piece totem set.
54:56But not the terracotta because you're so pale.
55:00Aw.
55:00So.
55:05My neck is hot.
55:07Oh, my God.
55:07Just hide a feeling for once, please.
55:09I can turn a dance floor into a runway.
55:11I can turn a dance floor into a runway.
55:13I just love my job.
55:29Well, that was the most fun I've had in a long time.
55:32Oh, my God.
55:33I like this better than the club.
55:36That's a lie.
55:37Well, this really is the most exclusive club.
55:40Truly.
55:40I mean, in terms of the stars that we saw tonight,
55:43you guys, when the core four arrived.
55:45No, no, no, no, no.
55:45I can't even explain.
55:46The ground was vibrating.
55:48It was unlike anything I've ever experienced.
55:50It was.
55:50Meryl and Stanley up here together.
55:52I was like, Mom, I'm going to be okay, I swear.
55:55Mom, I know you're nervous, but I'm going to be okay.
55:58The ground was vibrating because I was jumping up and down.
56:01Yeah, it was exciting.
56:02And Annie and Emily together.
56:04No, and Annie said she was your fan.
56:06I screamed.
56:07I screamed.
56:08Guys, I'm really touched.
56:09What were your favorite moments tonight?
56:10Any fashion moments?
