00:00Previously, Unheated Rivalry.
00:02Then where is he wearing Rosenhoff?
00:03My what?
00:04Scott Hunter is right next door.
00:06No, I mean, not your boy.
00:08Just like...
00:08It's always Hollander and Rosenhoff, right?
00:11He's hot.
00:12We should like to release him like Nathan Cole.
00:14He's an asshole, right?
00:15I mean, yeah, basically.
00:16The record for this event,
00:17currently held by the New York Admiral's Scott Hunter.
00:21Glad to see Rosenhoff and hold my record
00:23for more than a minute.
00:24Let's shoot, New York.
00:25I thought it was Scott Hunter's year.
00:27Babe, can you believe Russia?
00:28Be nice, Bonnie.
00:30Hey, what did Ross say about it?
00:31I don't know.
00:32Nothing to me, that's for sure.
00:34We're not, like, friends or anything.
00:36No worries.
00:37I'm sure someone else grabbed him.
00:38Seriously, this year, baby.
00:39We're coming for you.
00:40Trust me.
00:40You look great in silver, Bonnie.
00:41Don't even stress.
00:42Oh, good one.
00:56I want some ice cream bad, man.
00:59Do you not find it weird that we're in a beach town in Russia
01:01in February talking about getting ice cream?
01:03Winter Olympics, baby.
01:05So this should be, right?
01:08Hey, isn't that it?
01:10Oh, yeah.
01:12All in there.
01:13What's up, motherfucker?
01:15Good boys.
01:16All right, so tonight we can do the men's short form figure skating here.
01:18My buddy Joe is in that program.
01:20We train together.
01:21Would you guys be cool to do that?
01:23I'd love to show up for him.
01:24Oh, yeah, man.
01:25Show up for any dude who's that brave.
01:27What do you mean?
01:29Well, you're assuming your buddy might be gay?
01:33I mean, fucking pray for a dude to show up to a place like this and be like,
01:37Hey, here's me.
01:39Russia is not safe for folks like that.
01:43Fucking balls of steel, man.
01:45Yep.
01:56Welcome back to Man in the Crease, your one-stop hockey shop.
02:00Today's first period topic is the inevitable one for the Admirals.
02:03What has happened to Scott Hunter?
02:0570 points last season.
02:07Yes, and we're six games into this season.
02:10A season he, he called, need to win.
02:13Those are his words.
02:14And he has zero, zero points.
02:17He's in a fog.
02:18His passes aren't connecting.
02:20He's barely skating.
02:21I can't imagine he's amazing in the room right now.
02:24And he's already been announced as Team USA captain at the Olympics in Russia.
02:28I'm sure I'm not in the trouble.
02:29Oh my god!
02:43Oh my god.
02:45Oh my god.
02:46Oh my god!
02:47The other one.
02:48I'm sorry.
02:49You're helping me out.
02:49Oh my god.
02:50Cause you're helping me out.
02:54There's something weird.
03:08I am very sorry about that.
03:11It's really not a big deal.
03:12How may I help you?
03:14Uh, what's good?
03:18Just a bunch of very decent smoothies with deeply stupid names.
03:23Any allergies?
03:24No, no, no, I'm easy.
03:25Okay.
03:25Um, I mean, the best one's the blueberry one, but...
03:28Oh, you mean blue moon over Brooklyn?
03:30Yeah, yeah, that's it.
03:32But what?
03:33Oh, um, nothing.
03:35Just when I make it for myself in the morning, I add a banana.
03:39Oh, so you're kind of wild.
03:41I mean, it wouldn't be the first time somebody's told me that.
03:46Uh, yeah, that actually sounds pretty good.
03:48Yeah?
03:48Blueberry with a banana.
03:50I take that.
03:51If it's okay to order off-menu.
03:53Kip.
03:55I mean, technically it was my idea, so...
03:57I think we can get away with it this time.
04:23Oh, you weren't kidding.
04:24It's really hot.
04:24Oh, yeah.
04:26The banana makes a big difference, I think.
04:30I guess it must.
04:36Here.
04:37Thanks.
04:40And that's way too much.
04:42It's for you.
04:44It's a great smoothie.
04:46Thanks again, Kip.
04:52A girl.
04:54A girl.
04:54Oh, shit.
04:55Are you...
04:59Was that Scott Hunter?
05:01Was that what?
05:02Scott Hunter, the hockey player.
05:05A girl.
05:07Clock winding down to the second period.
05:092-1 for Anaheim.
05:11The Admirals.
05:13And this is what we're watching?
05:15We barely get to see you because you're always working, but at least when we do, we get to watch,
05:19uh...
05:20What is this?
05:21Let me check my name.
05:22Hockey?
05:23Shut up, Sean.
05:24I have to turn it off.
05:25No, no, no.
05:25Please keep it on.
05:26Huh?
05:27Thank you, Kyle.
05:28Thank you, Kyle.
05:30Thank you, Kyle.
05:30You're welcome.
05:32Twice.
05:33He said Kip.
05:34Like, he used your actual name twice.
05:36Maria, that is sending the mark so low.
05:39And it didn't even sound stupid when he said it.
05:41It almost sounded hot.
05:42Okay, that's not fair.
05:42Not hot.
05:43Just normal.
05:44Okay.
05:45I'll listen to it.
05:46Fuck both of you, okay?
05:47Kip is short for Christopher.
05:48It's not that weird.
05:49It's short for Christopher.
05:51And please don't tell me you used that name on your grad school application.
05:54Oh, my God.
05:54Why are we talking about my dumb name?
05:56He said it.
05:57He said it.
05:59Another round?
06:00Thank you, Kyle.
06:02Thank you, Kyle.
06:04Hunter to Bond.
06:05And you?
06:05Bond sends him back to...
06:08Look, look, look.
06:09He's on the TV right now.
06:10He's on the TV right now.
06:12Oh, my God.
06:12Okay.
06:13Bond to Hunter.
06:14Hunter's in front of the net.
06:15And he scores!
06:17A rare goal from Scott.
06:19Oh, wow.
06:20Right?
06:20He knows your name.
06:22Yeah.
06:23I mean, he's definitely not gay, but...
06:25Shut the fuck up.
06:25He's making gay.
06:27Jesus Christ.
06:31He scored a hat trick last night.
06:33Are you asking me what that means, or are you just telling me something I already know?
06:36I just didn't realize that...
06:38We literally watched the game, Kip.
06:45Nice to see you again, Kip.
06:47Nice to see you again, Scott.
06:51You're Scott Hunter, right?
06:53I am.
06:54This is awesome.
06:55I mean, wow.
06:55You had a night last night.
06:57Oh, did you watch?
06:58I did, yeah.
06:59I don't usually...
07:00Sorry, that sounds rude.
07:02I'm...
07:02No, I...
07:03I got it.
07:03Well, I watched the playoffs last year with my dad.
07:06It was amazing.
07:07He's a huge fan.
07:08But, yeah.
07:09I watched last night.
07:11Wow.
07:13You know, when something goes right with my game, I try to repeat it, and then I try
07:18to perfect it.
07:19Okay.
07:21So, I'd love another smoothie, please.
07:25Anything you'd like different?
07:26Nothing at all.
07:29There you go.
07:31You really can't keep doing this.
07:33I really can.
07:35Uh, see you next game day, I hope.
07:42Dude.
07:43Girl.
07:44Was that?
07:44Yes, it fucking was.
07:53Sorry I'm late.
07:55No outside food or drink.
07:56Fuck off, Kyle.
08:01And I know the whole smoothie thing is dumb, or whatever, but he just keeps saying my name,
08:05and it's low-key making me crazy.
08:07Wait, you're still coming with me to that fundraiser, though, right?
08:09Because I am not looking for a date.
08:10Yes.
08:11I told you I could come, and it's in, like, two months.
08:14Could you please listen to me?
08:15Kyle, remote.
08:22Extra shrimp.
08:24Thank you for the intro.
08:28Now I'm fully listening.
08:29What are you doing?
08:30She's putting the game on.
08:31Elena.
08:32What?
08:32It's a sports bar.
08:34Let's watch sport.
08:35Am I being crazy?
08:37What does Maria say?
08:38She says he's funny.
08:39Me too.
08:40Well, she is much smarter than you.
08:41I'm probably this idiot.
08:44He's not an idiot.
08:48Jesus.
08:49Brian.
08:50When's his next home game?
08:53Come on.
08:54If you don't know when his next home game is, how are you going to plan your next shift?
08:56I don't plan my shifts.
08:58I just gobble up as many as I can.
09:01Saturday.
09:01They play at home again on Saturday.
09:03Are you working?
09:07Fuck.
09:08No.
09:09Fix that.
09:25It's nice to see you.
09:29Blue moon over Brooklyn, please.
09:31Extra banana.
09:39This one's on the house.
09:41Oh, come on.
09:41It's above my pay grade.
09:43Management heard you came in.
09:44And no, you may not tip me.
09:46And yes, I'm using proper grammar to prove to you that I'm being serious.
09:51Okay.
09:54May I drink this here?
09:56I've got some emails to answer, so I thought...
09:59Yeah.
09:59You totally may.
10:06Yeah.
10:14You totally may.
10:33You're not worried about breaking your routine?
10:37Uh, no, I'm not actually that obsessive.
10:41Turns out I'm too lazy to be a serial killer.
10:43I took a quiz.
10:45I don't even think I could be a spree killer.
10:47What's a spree killer?
10:50Someone who kills multiple people at the same time.
10:53But isn't...
10:53A serial killer is someone who kills multiple people, minimum three, but over a period of
10:58time.
10:58Not all at once.
10:59Mm-hmm.
11:02How do you know that?
11:04Uh, I read a lot of murder books.
11:07And, uh, yeah, serial killers make me feel not obsessive, which is a relief.
11:16Well, I've read some things about athletes.
11:19Okay.
11:20Before you say anything else, yes, I agree.
11:22And yes, there are at least two guys on my team that are possibly off the record.
11:26Yes, maybe.
11:27But no, not me.
11:29No, I swear.
11:30Barely had two concussions.
11:33Okay, so, what?
11:35No left sock, right sock, stop shaving, no sex, all that stuff?
11:39Oh, no, yeah, yeah, yeah, all of that.
11:40But that's not CTE stuff, that's just science.
11:42And science only really matters during the playoffs.
11:45Oh, okay, that's super comforting.
11:47Listen, I know you're more of an art guy, so it's not like I expect you to get the ins
11:50and outs of science.
11:52And just to be clear, I'm not complaining about the whole stop shaving thing.
11:56I mean, you all look like hot lumberjacks by the end of May.
12:12Um, do you want to come to my game tonight?
12:15I have two seats.
12:17No one's taking them.
12:18So, I mean, if you want.
12:20Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, I want, um, fuck man, that's crazy, thank you.
12:28Super happy to do it.
12:30You sure?
12:33I'm sure.
12:38These are better than my company seats.
12:40I get it.
12:41These are really good seats.
12:42Well, yeah, they're his.
12:46You know, we're first date, but I think I'm into this.
12:49What are you talking about?
12:50Well, you're with a girl, and he's at work.
12:52Oh, my God, shut up, Elena.
12:55Oh, wow.
12:57That wasn't, it wasn't to me, that was.
12:59He just nodded at you.
13:01No, there's no proof of that.
13:03Not quite.
13:09Wait, but for fuck's sake.
13:11Okay.
13:20Good job.
13:21I love you.
13:22I love you.
13:23I love you.
13:24I love you.
13:25Good job.
13:25I love you.
13:27Hey, Hunter.
13:28Too bad you can't play at home every night, right?
13:32It's better for you, huh?
13:33Go fuck yourself, Rosanoff.
13:35All right, it's more fun if you're there.
13:40Hey, thanks.
13:47Hope next time we play, you decide to show up.
13:52Cheap.
13:53True.
13:57It's starting to sound like him.
14:00I'm sorry, what?
14:03You fucking heard me, Hollander.
14:05What the fuck is that supposed to mean?
14:06Well, there's something you really don't expect to see, especially after the final whistle,
14:11and especially from Hollander and Hunter, a fittingly brutal end to yet another brutal
14:16road for the album.
14:17That's Cheap, Hollander, and to find anybody who can tap some grievances to air.
14:22I'm going to hit the sack.
14:23Yeah, there you go, handsome.
14:25All right, have a good day off.
14:27It's not a day off.
14:28I'm doing that catering thing tomorrow.
14:30Yeah, yeah, I just, you know, you get to sleep in for once, so I'm just happy for you.
14:34It's all I meant, you know.
14:36I, uh, I'm proud of your hustle, kiddo.
14:40You know?
14:41You can't get that scoundrel shop anyway, so...
14:43Cheap, please, please, no jinxing me.
14:45No way.
14:45No way.
14:46Good night.
14:47Night, Dad.
14:48Love you.
14:48Love you back.
14:54Motherfucker.
15:01What's happening to you?
15:03What's your problem?
15:03I can't find my black suit, and I have to leave so, so soon.
15:07Okay, well, it's with the dry cleaning in my closet, so why are you freaking out?
15:12Okay, hey, hey, are you okay?
15:14Yeah, I'm fine.
15:14I just, I need the money, and I can't fuck this job up.
15:17Yes, and I get it, but you're not going to fuck it up because you're amazing, and it's
15:21going to be great.
15:23I love you.
15:24Yeah, you too.
15:25Yes, buddy.
15:29I'm so sorry.
15:31Save it.
15:41I'm so sorry about that.
15:43I'm really sorry.
15:44Oh, you're a mess.
15:45It's okay.
15:45It's not my only talks.
15:48New York used to have professional waiters.
15:50Now it's all just models who can't carry a tray.
15:53It's, uh, it's really okay.
15:55I'm so sorry again.
15:56Oh, funny.
15:59Babe, I don't know what that was.
16:01I know, I'm a complete fuck-up, and I'm sorry.
16:04You're not a complete fuck-up.
16:05This is not rocket science or whatever it is you're into.
16:08Art, Sean, please don't fire me.
16:10No one is firing you.
16:12Just calm down and get your shit together, okay?
16:16Okay.
16:17I know you need the money, baby.
16:18Okay.
16:20Deep breath.
16:21Inhale.
16:23Exhale.
16:26You think you can handle quiche?
16:28They're dry.
16:44Hey.
16:45Hey.
16:46I am so sorry about earlier.
16:48That woman is horrible, and I'm the one who should apologize.
16:51I was standing right in front of the kitchen door like an idiot.
16:53No, I'm the idiot.
16:54You're just a normal, hungry person at a fundraiser, and that woman did seem horrible.
16:59Full disclosure, I hate this food.
17:00Well, full disclosure, I hate serving it.
17:05I'm sorry.
17:06I have to...
17:06Do you like Mexican food?
17:08Yeah.
17:09Of course.
17:10I'm not a syrup killer.
17:12Or even a spree killer.
17:14You sure?
17:14Yeah.
17:15It was the time.
17:16But do you have the time to grab a bite with me, like, when this thing is over?
17:21Tonight?
17:22Yeah.
17:24With you?
17:25Uh, wow.
17:26Um...
17:27Yeah.
17:27Yeah, okay.
17:28Yeah.
17:29Yeah.
17:30Because there's, uh...
17:31There's this great place right around the corner, and it's open late, and...
17:34Okay.
17:34Um, you don't mind waiting until I'm done?
17:37Not even a little.
17:59Hi.
18:08that's a long line is it worth it um probably not right we also don't actually have to do this
18:20how would you feel about ordering
18:36holy shit
18:42oh my god
19:03i mean i i figured you'd have a nice place but this is insane

19:34do you want a full tour now or you don't just get out of here
19:43mom
19:51Wow, you are so beautiful.
20:01I can't believe you didn't have to be.
20:04I'm so into you.
20:06I'm so into you.
20:07I guess I'm thinking about you.
20:34I'm so into you.
20:50I'm so into you.
20:51What are you doing?
20:53I didn't want to wake you.
20:55And I just thought since you have your game tomorrow and...
20:58Can you stay?
21:10Yeah.
21:14Then stay, please.
21:17Okay.
21:20Okay.
21:21Okay.
21:32Okay.
21:36Okay.
21:51Did I wake you?
21:53Oh.
21:54Okay.
21:54I meant to surprise you and I was going to go out and get stuff, but I looked in your
21:58fridge
21:58and you basically had all the ingredients.
21:59I know I shouldn't be snooping around, but I didn't have to do that much snooping.
22:04You were very organized.
22:05And I thought since I'm not working today, but you still have your game, that you probably
22:09still want to...
22:21Can I fuck you?
22:24Absolutely.
22:25Okay.
22:26Okay.
22:39So, I should probably go.
22:44Go.
22:48Hmm.
22:49Hmm.
22:49Hmm.
22:49What if you didn't...
22:52Go?
22:53Hmm?
22:54Hmm.
22:55Hmm.
22:55Like ever?
22:56Hmm.
22:57Hmm.
22:58Fuck.
22:58All that serial killer talk was you warning me, wasn't it?
23:01Hmm.
23:02Hmm.
23:06Hmm.
23:07Hmm.
23:08Hmm.
23:09Hmm.
23:11Hmm.
23:11Hmm.
23:12Hmm.
23:12Hmm.
23:12I'm gonna say a bunch of things, okay?
23:15And...
23:15I know I'm too intense.
23:17Everyone tells me that, but I just, I can't help it.
23:19Is it okay?
23:20Can I be too intense?
23:23Yeah.
23:24Yeah.
23:27Yeah.
23:27I, um...
23:30I never do this.
23:33I've never brought anyone back here.
23:35Like ever.
23:38Um...
23:39Yeah.
23:39My life is, uh, is complicated.
23:42Yeah.
23:43I, I get that.
23:49And I can't, um...
23:53Come out, like...
23:56Not, not right now.
24:00Too many people depend on me for too much, and it would just, it would fuck everything up.
24:05And so I just thought I would, um...
24:08I don't know.
24:10Wait, I guess.
24:12Yeah.
24:13Wait till...
24:14Hockey was over, and...
24:17And maybe I could fade away better.
24:22But I am...
24:27You, it's just, um...
24:31I want you so bad.
24:36So bad.
24:38And I know that you barely know me, so why would you even consider something that's...
24:42That's probably fucked up.
24:43Like, I, I know I'm fucked up.
24:45I get it.
24:45I'm, I'm not pretending.
24:46I'm not.
24:47But I really, really like you.
24:52So...
24:52I want you to stay.
24:55So I'm, I'm asking for what I want.
25:01I want you to be here when I get back from practice later.
25:05And I, uh, I want you to be here when I come home from my game tonight.
25:10I...
25:11I, um...
25:13I want you more than I've wanted anything in a long time.
25:20Is, uh, is that too much?
25:25You can say it if it is, uh...
25:29Do you say something, though?
25:56I think I'd love to be here when you get back.
26:01And I don't think you're too lazy to be a serial killer.
26:06Really?
26:07Yeah, really.
26:09Yeah, you're definitely not lazy.
26:17Hey.
26:19How was practice?
26:27I don't know, like a few days ago?
26:30Yes, I sent in the applications.
26:31Very aggressive.
26:32Yes, and even to be you.
26:34And yes, I know we hate Boston.
26:37With Elena, Dad.
26:38I'm staying with Elena.
26:39So I don't have to, just left to work.
26:41I get to sleep in an extra hour.
26:44Fuck yes.
26:46Nothing, Dad. No, I'm just watching the game.
26:48Yes, with Elena.
26:50Oh my God, Dad.
27:11I don't have a boyfriend on TV at all times, please.
27:16Kyle.
27:16Oh my God, guys, he's a customer.
27:18He's not my boyfriend.
27:19Oh.
27:19I don't have a fucking boyfriend.
27:25Oh.
27:33Oh.
27:34Hiya.
27:41Good morning, Scott.
27:42Good morning, Kit.
27:43The usual, please.
27:45Yeah.
27:47Extra banana.
27:52I'm not sure what I'm going to do without these on my road trip.
27:54I'm pretty sure they have smoothies in other cities.
27:56Not like these, they don't.
28:01Do you really think this is a secret?
28:03What's a secret?
28:06Nothing's happening.
28:07He's just flirting with me or whatever.
28:09He's straight, I think.
28:11Girl.
28:20There's pasta salad in the fridge.
28:22Chicken, no feta.
28:24Oh, yeah?
28:24Where?
28:25For me.
28:26I made it.
28:30You dead?
28:34I'm not just a pretty face.
28:36Oh, but you're a very pretty face.
28:42What's that?
28:44It's an artist I love.
28:46He has a new show out.
28:47Oh, cool.
28:47Mm-hmm.
28:48I should buy some art.
28:50What?
28:51Hey, I'm not just a pretty face, either.
28:53No, no, no, no.
28:54You're also a very, very hot body.
28:59Oh.
29:02Not sure.
29:11We don't have to do this.
29:14That's cool.
29:17Okay.
29:24This would look great in the living room.
29:27Not on the fireplace wall, but on the way to the bedroom.
29:30I think it was-
29:34Sorry.
29:35Sorry, I just-
29:36It's okay.
29:37Um, maybe we should-
29:40Amazing, isn't it?
29:42Yeah, it's beautiful.
29:45So are you two just browsing or shopping to buy?
29:49Oh, I think we're-
29:50Yeah, I think we're just browsing right now.
29:52Yeah.
29:53Excuse me.
29:58Sorry, he's not feeling well.
29:59No problem.
30:12I'm, uh, I'm really sorry.
30:15I thought I could do that.
30:16I really thought I could.
30:18I-I wanted to.
30:19I just-
30:19It's okay.
30:20No, son.
30:23I know, son.
30:25Come here.
30:25Come here.
30:26Come here.
30:26Come here.
30:32Come here.
30:52Good job.
30:52Now.
30:53It hurts, man.
30:55Come here.
30:56mean, it's brutal. I think I'm cursed. Cursed? Like, scary old lady cursed? I know, I know
31:02it's dumb, but I'm not the only one who's superstitious. Would you be jealous if I got
31:08my smoothies from some other guy? Maybe, probably. Well, what if I filled you in on all the juicy
31:15details, like how he blended them? Ooh, what if I actually was a scary old lady? Or what
31:21if you always kind of had one with you? What do you mean? Oh. Here. Okay. Okay, I know
31:33it's dumb, I know it's dumb, but I saw them in a bodega and I thought they looked like
31:36your smoothie. I love them. Yeah? I love them so much.
31:53Can I fuck you? Absolutely.
32:14Fuck yes.
32:29What? Say it out loud. Say what? Okay, it's not... It's what? Okay. Here's what I know.
32:44Alina. Shut up. You're in love with him. I'm not in love with him. You are. Have you
32:52at least told your dad? For how long now? A little over two months. Oh, baby. Alina,
33:02okay, you can't tell. If anyone finds out that it's... That it's Scott? Obviously, I'm not
33:08going to tell anyone, but Kip. He can't come out right now, okay? He really wants to. It's
33:15amazing. He's amazing. And I've never been happier. Honestly.
33:24What's the plan, babe? I don't know. What does your dad think? That I'm fucking some married
33:35guy, probably. I kind of wish you were. Oh, just don't say that. Please, just please be
33:41happy for me. I can't wait to see you in a tux tomorrow night. I am going to be super
33:49well behaved for you. I only care that you're handsome. You bitch. Scott's going to be there
33:56tomorrow night, too. Oh, I know. And he better be ready for me.
34:32Hey, Dad. Oh, my God. You're not dead. No, I'm alive. Well, that is a relief. I didn't
34:38want to have to call the war. You know, I miss you. I miss you, too, Dad. All right. Are
34:45you
34:45going to be making an appearance here at some point in the near future? Yes, I will. I'm going
34:50to come for dinner this week, I promise. Perfect. How's work? Well, work is fine. You know,
34:56Barry's being a pain in my ass, but... Well, Barry's an asshole. No, he hurt his foot,
35:01so at least it's something new this time. Yeah, well, Barry's always been an asshole. Who taught
35:06you to talk like that? You did. You taught me to talk like that. That sounds about right.
35:12And, um, nothing in the mail, right? Kip, if there was something in the mail, I would not
35:17have forgotten about it. I know, I know. I just figured I'd check. Okay. Don't worry about
35:23that. Okay. Don't think about that, okay? It's going to come when it comes. Look, I'm
35:28not going to keep you. I love you. All right. You, too, Dad. You, too, Dad. What? I, I love
35:34you, too, Dad. There. I said it. Oh, my God. Sorry, it's such a struggle. Oh, God. Okay,
35:39bye-bye. Bye-bye. Bye-bye.
35:46Bye-bye.
36:37I have to sit here. Stop it.
36:40So what?
36:44He's here.
36:45You need to chill out.
36:48My God.
36:50Can I have some of yours?
36:52Yeah.
36:53Thanks.
36:57Well, I like our playoff chances this year.
36:59I think we might even get some home ice advantage.
37:01Well, if this guy keeps playing the way he has been, maybe.
37:05What changed?
37:06You mean a nice girl or something?
37:08I think we just found an agreement with the team.
37:12Excuse me, gentlemen.
37:13I think I spotted an old friend.
37:15No, I'm just ribbing you, Scott.
37:17You know your parents would be so proud of you, right?
37:20Your mom especially.
37:21She would have just been thrilled.
37:25Thanks, Tom.
37:26Excuse me.
37:27Yeah.
37:30Hey.
37:31Okay?
37:32Yeah.
37:33Yeah.
37:33I should be used to it.
37:40I'm Kip, right?
37:44Christopher.
37:45Money's all dressed up.
37:46I'm Elena.
37:48Nice to meet you, Elena.
37:49I'm Scott.
37:49Pleasure.
37:50Scott.
37:51You look beautiful.
37:52You both do.
37:54Oh.
37:54Sorry.
37:56Yeah.
37:56We both clean up pretty well.
38:03Okay.
38:03If I go get more drinks, do you promise to start talking, Christopher?
38:06Yes.
38:07Of course.
38:07Great.
38:08Another beer, Scott?
38:09That'd be lovely.
38:16Are you enjoying the evening?
38:18I am.
38:19Are you?
38:21Looking forward to the after party, Austin.
38:27You talked to this perfectly.
38:29Thanks.
38:30And thanks.
38:31I mean, you didn't have to.
38:33I wanted to.
38:38You okay?
38:41Elena knows.
38:43I'm sorry.
38:45Yeah.
38:46I kind of got that.
38:48It's okay.
38:49She's discreet, right?
38:51Yeah, totally.
38:52Like, totally.
38:53I just, I, she kind of figured it out, and I guess I had to tell someone.
38:58It's okay.
38:59Really?
39:00Okay.
39:04This is so weird.
39:07Yeah.
39:08You should leave early, as soon as I do my speech.
39:10Eh, not before you dance with me.
39:12Pardon?
39:13I want to dance.
39:15Elena's a killer.
39:17How could I possibly say no?
39:24So, what are your intentions with my kid?
39:27I'm serious.
39:29He's crazy about you.
39:31I'm crazy about him, too.
39:32I really am.
39:34He's also miserable.
39:36Are you miserable, too?
39:40No.
39:42Wait.
39:44What do you mean?
39:45Nobody wants to be kept a secret.
39:47No, he's not.
39:48He is.
39:51Eyes on me, handsome.
39:55I'm doing my best.
39:57I, I love him.
39:58I just can't do better right now.
40:00I, I've been honest.
40:03I know.
40:04And he's so in love with you that he'll put up with it.
40:09But it's killing him.
40:16I'm not saying any of this to be mean.
40:18I'm really not.
40:19And you seem great.
40:21But he's great, too.
40:27He deserves the best.
40:31He deserves sunshine.
40:43And so do you.
40:52It's my birthday on Sunday.
40:55I know.
40:56I already got the key to lined up.
40:58Surf and Hersch.
41:00Because we're not choosing.
41:03You know, uh, the Kingfisher?
41:05It's the bar I told you about where I watch all your games?
41:08Mm-hmm.
41:09A couple of my friends are throwing me just like a little party there.
41:13It's not even really a party.
41:15It's just hanging out or whatever.
41:17Right.
41:18It's a, it's a gay bar.
41:20But it's not a club.
41:22It's just a bar.
41:23It's honestly more of a hockey bar now, thanks to me.
41:26It's terrible.
41:26And I was thinking that you could just come as my friend.
41:31As somebody who buys smoothies from me.
41:33I mean, Maria knows.
41:34My friend Sean knows.
41:36They know that you buy smoothies from me.
41:43I can't.
41:46I can't do that.
41:50I wish I could.
41:51I, I, I want to.
41:54I want to tell everyone.
41:57I want people to know you're mine.
41:59That I love you.
42:02I love you too.
42:04Soon, maybe.
42:09I mean, in a few years.
42:14I know, I know how it sounds.
42:16But it, it'll go by quickly.
42:18I promise.
42:19And then we can be normal with, like, like other people.
42:27I heard what you said in your speech tonight.
42:31And I know that they're your family.
42:34And that you feel responsible for them.
42:36And I get that, Scott.
42:37I, I really, really get that.
42:42But, I, I have a family too.
42:46And, I keep lying to them.
42:48And I don't want to.
42:51And I miss them.
42:52I, I miss my dad.
42:56Sorry, I, that's not what I meant.
42:58It's okay, I know what you meant.
43:04I'm gonna go home tonight.
43:08I need to.
43:38Thank you for coming.
43:41For those of you who've attended before,
43:42feel free to ignore my sob story
43:44and go straight to the bar.
43:47But for those of you who don't know it,
43:49here's the short version.
43:52My parents were both junior hockey coaches.
43:56And they were hit by a drunk driver
43:59when I was 12 years old.
44:02Mercifully for them, they died instantly.
44:05Mercifully for me,
44:07the St. Thomas Scholarships existed.
44:11I didn't have anybody else to help me.
44:15Had a lot of memories,
44:17a love of hockey,
44:18and a huge hole in my heart.
44:22St. Thomas filled it with hope.
44:25The hope of a new family.
44:28Things, things weren't always easy.
44:30You know, they never are for anybody.
44:32But,
44:34in hockey, I found what I was missing.
44:37First at my high school,
44:39then later at college,
44:40and now here, with the Admirals.
44:42And I never looked back.
44:45Because I never had to.
44:49The family I craved,
44:50the family that I needed,
44:52that I still need today.
44:56Hockey gave it to me.
44:58And St. Thomas gave me hockey.
45:02So, from the bottom of my heart,
45:04I want to thank you all
45:05for being here tonight.
45:06And for supporting this cause,
45:08because it's not just a scholarship.
45:10It's,
45:11it's everything that comes with it.
45:13It's a whole world.
45:14A whole life.
45:15It's, uh,
45:19it's everything.
45:39Hey, Dad.
45:41Hey, the prodigal son.
45:43Returned home.
45:44Look, I gotta send the mail here
45:47for a certain someone,
45:48and it's pretty heavy.
45:50I don't want to.
45:53Hey.
45:58Hey.
46:00My boy.
46:02Come here.
46:03What's up?
46:04Oh.
46:05Hey.
46:06I'm sorry.
46:08For what?
46:08You got nothing to be sorry for, silly.
46:11Oh.
46:14Oh.
46:19Oh.
46:19There we go.
46:20Oh, there we go.
46:24And a full book arrives to grass walk.
46:28Oh.
46:30Oh.
46:31Oh.
46:33Oh.
46:34Oh.
46:35Oh.
47:00Hey, good dress, man.
47:02It's a gold medal fucking game.
47:05Yeah, totally.
47:06Yeah, totally.
47:30I was surprised I've been young.
47:38Yeah, totally.
47:57Yeah, totally.
48:00Yeah, totally.
48:19Yeah.
48:19Yeah, totally.
48:23Yeah, totally.
