00:00:15I
00:00:17Hi
00:00:24So hmm fists or knives
00:00:39So what's new that's the end of the season it seems like a long year, but it's a short season
00:00:44up there
00:00:45But what an awesome year to be mining what a time to be a life pal. I mean mighty prices
00:00:51are good
00:00:52I don't know what I said today. What four thousand. It's not even normal
00:00:57I know
00:00:59You're finding some gold. Yeah, that's good. Yeah, well, how much have you thought?
00:01:07Me
00:01:10Well, I'm the oldest I should go last
00:01:14We just hit ten
00:01:17Okay, well so that we tend to
00:01:22Thanks
00:01:26I
00:01:26Can't have you finding more than us
00:01:28Oh, really? That's a lot of gold. That's a lot of gold
00:01:33It's impressive
00:01:37Where you're at was your total?
00:01:39Ah, two for 1800 and then we're we're about 400 ounces short right now. Yeah, well
00:01:45I could get a fair buck operation like yours if you could sell
00:01:54Um
00:01:55Well, I mean as of right now, I definitely want to see how this the season ends, but I'm considering
00:02:00it
00:02:00Let's give us a call
00:02:02What Tony trying to buy you out?
00:02:05No offer. Yeah
00:02:08Uh
00:02:10He came and visited me
00:02:12Oh
00:02:13Oh
00:02:17Let's see the difference between Tony and I is Tony really likes to do good deals and I love doing
00:02:21bad deals
00:02:21So if you are ever serious about selling give me a call
00:02:25Not to try to invade your guys's deal, but ground is hard to find and it's worth a huge premium
00:02:30right now
00:02:31Everybody's looking
00:02:32There's a lot of people that say oh well, you know the nice thing about this business is it's not
00:02:36competitive
00:02:38The three of us know it is
00:02:40Yes, sir
00:02:45Anyway
00:02:47Gentlemen have a nice day. All right, Tony
00:02:51That's good to see you man. Absolutely. Have a good fall. Yeah, you do enjoy your winter if I don't
00:02:55see you again. Oh, yeah, you too
00:03:01I figured Tony was having a good year, but I didn't think it was going to be that good
00:03:07He's a bit ahead of me but
00:03:12We'll see what happens
00:03:15Those guys are killing it on the gold you know on the offers
00:03:19It's it's good to know there's options there. I I I don't know what to do. I
00:03:24You know, it's gonna come down to my total what if I hit my goal this year
00:03:28Man, I want to go in on my own terms. I feel like just selling out is not
00:03:32the way I want to go but
00:03:34You never know you know money talks and results speak for themselves
00:04:10We've had a hell of a season old wise
00:04:14We've hit our goal
00:04:16The big priority now is just getting every last ounce we can while prices are like this
00:04:21Yeah, it's pretty cool
00:04:2531 year old mining mogul parker schnabel is running through the finish line
00:04:32Gold prices are at an absolute all-time high
00:04:37They have four thousand dollars an ounce today, which is
00:04:41very very cool
00:04:43It's a good time to be gold mining
00:04:45And have a lot of wash plants running we got four wash plants running
00:04:49Parker is already breaking records this season with over 40 million dollars in gold banked
00:04:58But he's determined to catch former mentor tony beats who is leading by 120 ounces
00:05:08Bit of a bummer that tony is a bit ahead of me we've been on top for a long time
00:05:14It's getting cold and who knows how much longer we've got frost will probably cut us off from being able
00:05:19to keep plants running
00:05:21But we're gonna finish strong
00:05:23We'll give her one last good push right now and see what we come up with
00:05:30Hey guys how's it going thanks for um coming to join me
00:05:35No worries what's going on
00:05:38I just wanted to give you guys a little update on what needs to get done
00:05:45What up where where have you been I call a meeting and you're late
00:05:53I'm just kidding
00:05:54For the final push
00:06:01Parker's depending on his top lieutenants
00:06:04Mitch Blaschke
00:06:05Tyson lee
00:06:06And brennan rule
00:06:08Thank you for getting us to the end here
00:06:11Hit our 10 000 right yeah like sick
00:06:14Yeah
00:06:16Pretty wild no doubt
00:06:19Yeah
00:06:20What's the plan now?
00:06:21I want to just make sure that we finish strong here like despite you know we hit the goal but
00:06:27um
00:06:28Tony this spring told me that his goal was like six or seven thousand and he's over 10 000
00:06:33Wow
00:06:34And you know me well enough to know how much I hate losing
00:06:39So I think you really have to turn your feet race up and all that jazz
00:06:44That's mandatory
00:06:47At dominion I mean we need to get those pay piles hammered out
00:06:51Yeah, they're still pretty big
00:06:54Mitch keep roxanne running and that stripping project is the main priority
00:07:00And brennan just whatever these guys need yeah
00:07:04There's not a lot of tolerance for screw-ups or delays
00:07:10If there's ever a time to push extra late now is the time
00:07:13It would just go until either the weather shuts us down or every plan's out of pay one of the
00:07:19two
00:07:22Let's go do some solution yeah perfect yeah let's get her done thank you guys thank you
00:07:30At parker's flagship dominion claim
00:07:34Tyson must loose the last of the golden miles stockpiled pay
00:07:40Through wash plants big red and golden goose
00:07:45And with bob in the bridge cut mine as much of the remaining 30 acres as possible
00:07:5210 miles south at parker's least ground kennan stewart's
00:07:59Mitch must run the pay from the last two acres of pit two with wash plant roxanne
00:08:06And remove the final four acres of worthless overburden from a new cut for next season
00:08:14All before winter freezes them out
00:08:26Right now we're at 26 on our adjuster here all of a sudden you put that at 40
00:08:34Look at how fast that dirt's coming off that belt
00:08:39I've got the yardage cranked as fast as roxanne can run trying to get it done as fast as possible
00:08:44There's so much to do here to finish off the sluicing we have to do
00:08:48Plus get all that mud removed for next season
00:08:54I don't know if this is even remotely close to possible but i'm gonna try
00:09:02This year my workload has pretty much tripled it's been a struggle at times
00:09:08Right now at golden goose we've increased the feed rate to 250 yards an hour which only puts more pressure
00:09:15on us
00:09:16The weather's gonna really start freezing on us any day now
00:09:19And i know everyone wants to go home but we can't go home until this pile is complete
00:09:26We're gonna be sluicing to the bitter end
00:09:53All right, are you ready?
00:09:56I'm always ready good good you're gonna move this plan yeah
00:10:00Give her the f*** out of here we have what a week left in the season we were lucky yeah
00:10:04And we're gonna need that down there to beat parker okay let's go okay man bingo let's get the show
00:10:11on the road
00:10:13Johnny shut her down dylan
00:10:25Everybody wants to go home but you know what sucks to be there
00:10:30The job is a job and finish is finished we're not finished by a long shot the gold prize is
00:10:36absolutely just awesome
00:10:38I mean they're this kind of a chance of a life sign
00:10:46Tony beats gold fever is relentless
00:10:50After blasting past his season target he now has a new goal locked in his sights
00:10:58Secure his crown as king of the klondike
00:11:05Parker he seems to be right down my heels
00:11:08So we'll just see on the end of the day who lands up on top this time
00:11:15We made one more move for the season
00:11:18Mostly slot
00:11:20Put it back into the early bird cut
00:11:23If I'm gonna go beat parker we will be sluicing with four boxes 24 hours a day
00:11:31To stay ahead of parker
00:11:33Tony is matching his former protégé's four plant final push
00:11:40At his paradise hill operation
00:11:43Tony has tasked son mike with finishing stockpiles at his trommel and harold wash plants
00:11:5240 miles south at indian river his twin shaker decks
00:11:56Sluice a lot and find a lot are in the 46 acre corner cut
00:12:03But after two months of non-stop running the mammoth cut only has enough pay left to run one plan
00:12:13To keep both sluicing tony needs to move sluice a lot upstream
00:12:19Back to where he started the season at a new three acre extension of his early bird cut
00:12:29Everything is hooked up everything is ready
00:12:32Off we go
00:12:49So far so good
00:12:51Plant is following good
00:12:54Couple corners
00:12:56Couple hills
00:12:58Nothing we haven't done before but we still gotta get on it and make it work
00:13:05Nice to keep this up we'll be putting some rocks in there tonight this will be good
00:13:10The guys getting the cut
00:13:13They better be ready
00:13:17Stakes are extra high with the price of gold at the moment at the new early bird extension
00:13:23tony's crew run full throttle
00:13:26To get the cut ready before sluice a lot arrives
00:13:31There is a bit of a race this season between tony and parker to
00:13:35See who can get the most gold
00:13:38Obviously i'm rooting for the king of the klondike i'm team tony all the way i mean of course
00:13:46I wouldn't say that tony's gonna keep that title this year
00:13:49Um i'd say parker's gonna win that one
00:13:52He's gonna have it in the bag
00:13:54Up here where we're dumping it's super soft and we're almost getting stuck
00:14:00But we got to get it done and we got to get sluice and they're moving sluice a lot
00:14:17That truck over here up there tony
00:14:20Truck over where
00:14:23I'll go have a look
00:14:25Oh the who the was that smart
00:14:29Yeah, I hear you. Who was driving that truck?
00:14:34I was
00:14:36Tony's gonna be passed
00:14:49You
00:14:50People are stupid
00:14:53Rock truck driver scott easley has flipped his box at tony's early bird cut extension
00:15:01The bank gave way
00:15:03And then the thing just slowly went i tried to put it in the drive and get going and
00:15:08It's too late
00:15:11Sluice a lot is less than a mile away and coming in fast
00:15:17Final stress here
00:15:19So i get there on the radio another rock truck flip so uh tony's there
00:15:25Giving a hand we can't afford any more downtime winter is coming
00:15:29And we want to get to that goal as soon as possible
00:15:36Get over there dalton
00:15:42I'll whip the over you'll take the hole over i'll flip the truck over
00:15:46Okay copy tony
00:15:57If these people pay attention you wouldn't have this
00:16:00Just when you think you've seen it all
00:16:03Okay, let's grab the thing flip it over
00:16:17Yeah, there you go
00:16:21So the new pad is inside the road ahead looks pretty good
00:16:28Yeah, that truck sorry tony pay attention
00:16:35Thank god i ain't fired when tony ran up
00:16:40i thought i was a dead man
00:16:42Oh
00:16:43It's loose a lot in here
00:16:46Get the out of the way
00:16:47Get that other rock truck dad out of the way
00:16:51Mike D copy
00:16:52All trucks are gone you should be good
00:16:57Climb up this last little hill
00:16:59We're on the path
00:17:00We're on the path i just gotta make sure to get it as close to the end as possible
00:17:26Perfect there we go tony gave me the sign that it's good
00:17:33Now we get two three guys coming in drag that hose over get the excavator over there hook up the
00:17:40hose
00:17:40Drive the gen set beside it bingo done
00:17:49I'll fire the plant up and we'll be back this losing
00:17:58All right, we've got the thumbs up
00:18:01Off we go
00:18:03Tony is back to four plants running in his push for mining supremacy
00:18:10I think it'd be hard for parker to compete i think everyone who works here has seen how much we've
00:18:15moved this season
00:18:16And we have no doubt tony is the king of the klondike
00:18:23I gotta remember to give parker a present i'm number one buddy
00:18:45There's quite a bit of pressure right now
00:18:48The plants ran out of pay it's all no burden trying to get into pay as quick as we can
00:18:56This is one of the worst spots i've ever been in you got to get back on that goal we've
00:19:00got to do it quick
00:19:01I know the guys are nervous i'm nervous
00:19:04Winter will soon freeze all the miners out but unlike others rick ness's future is on a knife's edge
00:19:13It's been a tough year. There's no doubt about it. Um, these guys have fought through
00:19:17A lot of that we shouldn't have to fight through
00:19:21We're 420 ounces shy of our goal yet and uh, that's a lot that's a lot of ounces to get
00:19:26and we don't have a whole lot of time to do it
00:19:29In a chaotic season of uncertainty and major missteps
00:19:35Rick gambled a million dollars mining a massive new cut
00:19:40Only to get no gold and that was a big debacle a huge waste of money and time
00:19:45People are hoping that i'm panicking
00:19:48The vultures are circling right now, but i'm not panicking yet
00:19:51Buyout offers from big shots tony and parker have come in
00:19:57I've been offered a seven-figure amount for this and uh, it's a lot but it's tough to ignore
00:20:03Maybe it's time to go
00:20:06But we hit our goal or get past it and then the profits can continue to get better. Why would
00:20:12I leave?
00:20:15Now as rick's crew fight to dig out the final 10 feet to hit pay in the last chance cut
00:20:23He's got a risky hail mary plan to get more gold
00:20:27fast
00:20:29It's gonna be a fight but with these guys all in on it. I know we can get it
00:20:42I just want to thank you guys you guys been doing a hell of a job
00:20:45That being said, I know you know you're all tired from it and and giving it all you got
00:20:49But we're still way off from a target and that'd be devastating for sure
00:20:56The goal would be in that dirt for sure but i think it's going to come right down to the
00:21:00bitter end
00:21:01We're running out of time so well
00:21:03I think we need to give a little more and i think we need to get back to lightning creek
00:21:08One last push down there
00:21:13That gold wasn't that good to begin with
00:21:15Yeah, let's pick it up at the end
00:21:17What if we do another clean out here and we're short?
00:21:21If we pull another 50 ounces from there, I mean that's that's big
00:21:25I mean you guys got to stay get monster red running. That's the priority
00:21:29But we need everything we can get
00:21:32The way it's set up down there, you know, we get going right away. Yeah
00:21:36We're almost at the end and let's just push a little harder. We're gonna be there, right? Yep. Yeah, all
00:21:40right
00:21:43Early in the season rick bought new ground at lightning creek. Let's do it all right
00:21:52After a shaky start
00:21:54The gold improved
00:21:5650.4 yeah, that's way better than last time. I got some news
00:22:00Then a six-month license extension to mine duncan creek came in
00:22:06We got a water license. Yeah, yeah
00:22:10Rick abandoned lightning creek shut down lightning creek we're moving back to vegas valley sounds good to me, man
00:22:19Now he wants to squeeze another 50 ounces from lightning creek to help get him over the line
00:22:29I hope this move is going to be worth it in lightning, but you know, we won't know until we
00:22:33start running some dirt
00:22:35We do reach that 1800 my mind's gonna be blown because with all the struggles we've had this year
00:22:41Since i've joined rick, it's always been a push. It's always been a gamble and in rick fashion
00:22:48We are swinging for the fence again at the end of the year
00:22:52While the stripping crew battle on in the last chance cut
00:22:57Rick and kai head eight miles north to lightning creek to sluice a leftover pay pile
00:23:04With wash plant rocky
00:23:07Everything should be good to go
00:23:09We got enough pay up there right now to start off the plant
00:23:12All right this hokey old thing all right let me give this thing a shot here
00:23:19Come on you old girl
00:23:42We got water we got power to shake your next movement, so kind of throw some dirt at it get
00:23:46some gold
00:23:49All right
00:23:53There we go
00:24:00Oh hell yeah rocky sluicing rick is one step closer to pulling off his double plant plan
00:24:08And banking the 420 ounces he needs everything looks good
00:24:28No way
00:24:31You gotta be kidding me
00:24:35What happened
00:24:54Well this is still smoking
00:24:58Oh
00:25:06Well
00:25:08I don't know
00:25:10At lightning creek
00:25:11The feed pump for rick ness's wash plant rocky has failed
00:25:17pump a little belt
00:25:21That's the belt that drives cooling system that's why the thing's smoking because it's overheating
00:25:25This tension should not be that loose that's what holds tension on the belt right so
00:25:29When it's loose it just hops hops hops and that belt just rips and then it stopped cooling so that
00:25:34it overheated
00:25:35This thing has just shot the hell
00:25:37She's tossed
00:25:40Rick's desperate push to get two plants running is over before it even started
00:25:47Very quick very catastrophic end to the day
00:25:50Got half a bucket through that thing i mean that's
00:25:52It's way worth getting out of bed for
00:25:53Now his only hope for 420 ounces
00:25:58Lies in the last chance cut and getting monster red sluicing
00:26:04Well that's pretty sad showing
00:26:07The last chance cut that's what we have to do
00:26:09The goal will be there it's just whether or not we can get at it
00:26:12Well hopefully it's enough
00:26:30It's getting cold and people are wore out it's just been a long season for everybody
00:26:36The overarching theme for me is doing everything we can to find as much gold as we can
00:26:43100 miles west with four wash plants going full tilt
00:26:49Parker is within striking distance of tony's gold haul
00:26:55It puts a huge amount of pressure on keeping wash plants running
00:26:58It's just consumes my thoughts now
00:27:03In the golden mile golden goose and big red
00:27:09Power through the pay piles at a combined season max of 500 yards an hour
00:27:15Doing pretty good down here at big red
00:27:20Do my best to get through as much as I can
00:27:23Do my best to get through as much as I can
00:27:42What the going on up here?
00:27:47Oh yeah
00:27:49My shaker deck shut off
00:28:00And I need you guys up here right now
00:28:01Oh you
00:28:03Woo I'm out of breath
00:28:06The shaker deck stopped
00:28:11Nothing's working
00:28:13Alec, Liam you got a copy?
00:28:16Yeah go ahead
00:28:18Hey man my shaker deck shut off and I need you guys up here right now
00:28:23Oh okay yeah we're on our way
00:28:25Thanks buddy
00:28:28me
00:28:29Oh I'm sick of this
00:28:33Oh the calvary's arrived
00:28:41We replaced the motor a couple months ago so that should still be good
00:28:52I think the feed conveyor is the shaker now because that's the motor wires there
00:28:56Oh what?
00:28:58I'm imagining the shaker contactor malfunctioned or broke and that's why we're running this backup feed conveyor one
00:29:04It's been hours
00:29:05It's been hours
00:29:06Now this guy has probably failed
00:29:12What's going on guys?
00:29:14We're not able to get the shaker motor going
00:29:17Seriously?
00:29:17Yeah something in our contact brick here is malfunctioning
00:29:22It's not letting power go from here to here
00:29:26Can't sluice without it
00:29:28Well
00:29:30Do you guys think we have one?
00:29:32No
00:29:32We don't have any replacement parts or any contactors that look like this in stock
00:29:38sakes man
00:29:40I'll go and find parker
00:29:45We can't go home until the golden miles sluice
00:29:47Without big red I don't think it's going to happen
00:29:51Parker's not going to be happy
00:29:57How's it going?
00:29:58What's going on?
00:30:00Big red's contactor essentially the starter for the shaker deck just the bed
00:30:07There's no real solution for it
00:30:13We don't have one, huh?
00:30:15No
00:30:17And with the weather the way it is if we lose the night we're screwed
00:30:23I'll get one as quick as we can
00:30:26I'm going to have to hunt down Jack so I'll get him in the air
00:30:30Okay
00:30:31And we'll have one by the end of the day
00:30:33Maybe
00:30:34If it doesn't look like we can get one tonight then
00:30:38Frost fighters on the sluice runs
00:30:40It's a nightmare
00:30:43All right sounds good thanks
00:30:52Whitehorse it's a seven eight hour drive each way
00:30:57Jack's an hour and a half to Whitehorse and an hour and a half back so the plane is paying
00:31:02for itself on runs like this
00:31:04Parker owns a Cessna 172 and employs a pilot full time
00:31:10Jack fills his time when he's not flying with um running an excavator and he's right here
00:31:26Big reds down for some electrical part they have one in whitehorse can you fly down and grab it?
00:31:31Yeah, okay, perfect time is of the essence. Can you spin up there now?
00:31:35Sure, perfect
00:31:37We'll try to get down to whitehorse grab that part and get back up as fast as I can
00:31:51We'll get slammed in and get the plant back up and running if we don't get it back here tonight.
00:31:56We're in trouble
00:32:11Is that enough? Yeah
00:32:14We got to run a little bit of water the gold might shift a bit, but we can't let big
00:32:19red freeze right now
00:32:22Parker Schnabel's wash plant big red is down with an electrical failure
00:32:28If it doesn't fire up before nightfall it will freeze
00:32:33This is about the worst time big red could have bet on us. Hopefully jack can get us the part
00:32:38here in no time
00:32:40Parker's crew are praying for a replacement part to be flown in from whitehorse
00:32:46300 miles away
00:32:50Guess we play the waiting game now
00:32:58Is that an airplane out here? I think so. Is that jack?
00:33:06There we go
00:33:23You got the goods got the goods
00:33:27Hopefully that's the right one sick. Thank you jack. I'll see you later. You're a lifesaver. Thank you
00:33:48That's awesome wicked. Thank you so much. No worries
00:33:51Let me know when you get it back up and running. Yeah, buddy. All right. Thanks guys
00:33:55Let's get this new guy hung and see if we can get this plant shaking again perfect
00:33:59This is so crusty. Oh don't break anything
00:34:07Okay, that's our new part installed sweet. Yeah, let's do it
00:34:15moment of truth here see what happens
00:34:24Okay, yep
00:34:32Nice work fellas beautiful sight isn't it
00:34:38Thank god
00:34:40Parker was able to pull it off we got big red back up and running so all we have to
00:34:46do is finish off the last bit of pay
00:34:48and go home
00:35:02If everything does go belly up I can actually hear tony sucks to be you
00:35:12So I think deep down even though they don't say it they'd be pretty
00:35:16Heartbroken that I wasn't able to make it happen
00:35:20While dead tony battles for mining supremacy eldest son kevin beats is in deep trouble
00:35:32What separates me from tony is just more planning and foresight
00:35:38Less smashy smashy
00:35:42But tony did pull out 10 000 ounces this year so he's doing something right
00:35:48Unlike his swashbuckling old man
00:35:52All season the sophomore mine boss has been sluicing slow and steady to protect his equipment and only wash plant
00:36:01But low risk has delivered low rewards
00:36:04Leaving kevin nearly 800 ounces short of his 2 000 ounce gold
00:36:12That's a big number for us because we need that to come back next year
00:36:15That covers all our costs that gets us enough to get started next year and if we don't have that
00:36:20We're running on fumes
00:36:26So we're gonna fight and we're gonna make it happen
00:36:31Turn the up
00:36:42Kevin's hail mary plan turn up his wash plant speed for the first time this season
00:36:49From 100 to 150 yards per hour in the hope he can get through his sphinx cut pay pile
00:36:57Before winter freezes him out hopefully that'll put us on the fast track to 2 000 ounces
00:37:05We got it turned up so we're just slamming the pay in there
00:37:10Chelsea march keeps pace with the turned up plant
00:37:15We've got a pretty big pay pile to get through
00:37:17I don't know if we're gonna have enough time to run all this pay through before the end of the
00:37:22season honestly, so
00:37:24Um, yeah, we just have to sluice as much as we possibly can and run through this pay
00:37:38Looks like we've lost water to the plant
00:37:41Hey, Tyler, there's no water at the plant. I'm gonna shut it down
00:37:45Okay, then board
00:37:59I'm smoking the pump spoken holy
00:38:05Copy Kevin yeah, you got to get down here the pumps on fire the pump is on fire
00:38:11That is a lot of smoke coming out of there right now
00:38:30Oh
00:38:31Oh, I shouldn't have touched that ah ah what the
00:38:39Don't touch that here. That's also hot. Okay
00:38:45Well
00:38:48So our return fuel lines and it looks like the injectors too
00:38:54Kevin's last-ditch plan has backfired
00:38:58When he turned up the plant he increased his pump's water pressure to deal with the extra dirt
00:39:03The added workload has blown the pump's fuel lines and injectors
00:39:09This kind of puts us dead in the water until we can fix it bind off replacement or something
00:39:15You're so close to the end
00:39:19Can't stop now though, so
00:39:22I will go bug faith and see if she can do the magic that she do
00:39:26Because yeah, if not well, that's it. We're done
00:39:46Okay, first
00:39:48Hey
00:39:51How's it going?
00:39:52Uh, the pump has basically gone bluey
00:39:56Uh
00:39:58Okay
00:40:00And you I'm guessing you can't fix it
00:40:04I know the last time we try to get similar parts there was at least a two-week venture so
00:40:10And with the time we have left I don't think that's going to work
00:40:13Or we could try
00:40:15Asking tony see what he says
00:40:19Yeah, don't really like to go back to the old man
00:40:23I'd rather we fail on our own than just keep getting help
00:40:30It is close to the end of the season
00:40:32Chances are someone's selling him a pump
00:40:34Yeah
00:40:35Yeah
00:40:36I'll reach out to a couple miners that I know around the area
00:40:43Well, I'll go, yeah
00:40:45Redirect the troops if you want to get on that and
00:40:47No
00:40:48Best of luck, man
00:40:49You as well
00:40:55Oh, sucks
00:40:59Really hope she can pull something out of the ether
00:41:03If I don't get the pump, I don't know if we're gonna be able to come back
00:41:07I'm a bit worried
00:41:09This is Kevin's dream. This is our dream to run a business ourselves
00:41:15Hopefully we get to keep on with this dream
00:41:21Oh
00:41:27So
00:41:28I got my fingers crossed
00:41:30At Scribner Creek
00:41:32Kevin's fight for survival relies on partner Faith finding a new pump for his wash plant
00:41:40Got good news
00:41:42A neighbor is shutting down
00:41:43Yes
00:41:44We have a pump right there
00:41:45That's very nice
00:41:47Yes
00:41:48I assume we're first in line
00:41:49Yes
00:41:50Well, at least we have to run right now to go get it
00:41:52What the hell
00:41:54All right
00:41:55Okay, I'm guessing you're gonna go deal with the with the money part
00:41:57Yes
00:41:58I should go grab it
00:41:59Yes
00:41:59All right, sounds good
00:42:00Let's do that
00:42:05New pump on site
00:42:07Kevin, let's hook that first
00:42:18Kevin, let's hook that first
00:42:28So then this big head pump goes
00:42:31This is quite a heart wrench
00:42:35Hopefully everything works out
00:42:38All right
00:42:39Let's fire it up
00:42:48I can see it from here
00:42:49I can see it from here
00:42:49We got water
00:42:51Means pump is working
00:42:53She's flooring all the way over there
00:42:56Listen how nice that sounds
00:43:00Very nice
00:43:01Very nice
00:43:02Back to getting some gold
00:43:03Yeah
00:43:05Oh, beauty
00:43:37Hello, hello
00:43:38Faith is good
00:43:39Finding that pump is running lovely
00:43:41We can finally get through our hay mountain
00:43:43Plants all turned up
00:43:45I think it's a good day
00:44:08Finally on pay boys
00:44:11Start making that stockpile
00:44:13Well, hot diggity dog
00:44:15Oh, time
00:44:18In the last chance cut
00:44:20The nest crew have finally hit pay
00:44:23And now must sluice non-stop
00:44:25To have any hope of reaching their 1800 ounce goal
00:44:32We're way too close to the end of the season to be sitting at
00:44:35400 and some ounces
00:44:36You're shy of our gold
00:44:37It's gonna come down right for the last day
00:44:41Just go right on top
00:44:43The crew hustle to build a stockpile in time to fire up for night shift
00:44:50There it is
00:44:51There's some good-sized boulders which is a good sign
00:44:55There's normally good gold
00:44:58I just hope that there's gonna be enough gold in it to reach our goal
00:45:05This rock looks good
00:45:06It does actually
00:45:10The weather's moving in so it's gonna be pretty important once this plant fires up that we don't stop running
00:45:14this plant
00:45:23It's chilly
00:45:24Yes
00:45:25Six hours after hitting pay
00:45:28As the temperatures drop to 28 degrees
00:45:32There's finally enough stockpiled pay to fire up
00:45:37She's frosty
00:45:39Yeah, the carpets are hard
00:45:41Ain't gonna fall until we get fired up
00:45:43Nope
00:45:50Boy, she sounds cold
00:45:56It's time
00:45:57Rick better get his night shift ready
00:46:00That ain't shutting off
00:46:07You ready for this, buddy?
00:46:09Yeah
00:46:12Everything's fueled, everything's topped off
00:46:13So I think you guys are ready to rock and roll, man
00:46:15Thanks again
00:46:16All right, brother
00:46:17Thanks, Kyle
00:46:18Get the out of here for the night
00:46:19All right, you ready?
00:46:20Let's do it, buddy
00:46:24Rick and Zee step up to work through the night
00:46:28So the exhausted crew can get some sleep
00:46:40We've got no choice right now
00:46:41We've got to run the wheels off of everything if we want to get to 1800 ounces
00:46:44And running a night shift the way we got to do it
00:46:48Hey, Rick, you got a copy?
00:46:50Yeah, go ahead
00:46:51I'll tell you what
00:46:52It's more stressful doing it at night
00:46:55It's really hard to see
00:46:57I've been told I do my best work in the dark
00:46:59But like, I don't know about this
00:47:02This is Zee's last shift before he heads home for the season
00:47:08It sucks going home this early
00:47:11I'm just stressed at home
00:47:13We haven't hit our goal yet
00:47:15So if you have pay laying on the ground
00:47:18And there's hours left in the day
00:47:20You run the plant
00:47:36Hey, Rick, you got a copy?
00:47:38Yeah, go for Rick
00:47:39There's a clog on this hopper
00:47:51Damn it
00:47:55Dude, this whole feeder's piled up
00:47:58I don't know why it stopped
00:48:00Something got caught in there
00:48:12There's two flat rocks just jammed in here on the side
00:48:15It's loose now
00:48:18You can see all the flat ones here too
00:48:20Look, that got through
00:48:20I know
00:48:21I think that's it
00:48:25Let's give her
00:48:36It ain't spinning
00:49:06Oh
00:49:07the feed conveyor on Rick's monster red wash plant has failed to fire up in the cold.
00:49:14Maybe I just heat that up. Can you grab that tiger torch? Yeah.
00:49:23Thanks, buddy. This is the head drum. This is what turns. It's really cold, so, you know,
00:49:31when rubber gets cold, it gets hard, and it's just not catching. I should just be able to add
00:49:36some heat to it, warm it up. It should get some traction.
00:49:45Shutting it down like this is a killer.
00:49:58Oh, that should do it. Should be warm enough to get going. We'll see.
00:50:02Good. Here we go. Ready? Yep, hit it.
00:50:15She's moving. We're good.
00:50:20Yeah. Good to go, buddy.
00:50:21Hey. If you don't laugh, it's just going to make you crazy.
00:50:28Love it, buddy. Thank you. Nice job.
00:50:31There's always something happening, especially this time of year. But, uh, we are still running,
00:50:36and we're going to say it that way. But we've got a long ways to go.
00:50:58Mike, do you have a copy, Mike?
00:51:00Is someone calling for me?
00:51:02Yeah, Mike. We're all done with the pay. We just put the last bucket through for the season.
00:51:09It all looks pretty good, Mike, huh?
00:51:11Yes.
00:51:12Shut the thing down, clean it up, it's all the quits.
00:51:15Yeah. Yeah, then I'll do that.
00:51:17Anyway, I'm pretty happy with this, and I'll go back to the Union River.
00:51:21That'd be nice if you could get rid of that paper aisle here,
00:51:23but it's horrible by the end of the week.
00:51:25Sounds like a plan, Dad.
00:51:27Tony's Harold Wash Plant has run the last of its pay pile,
00:51:31putting the king a plant down in his battle to beat Parker.
00:51:38We're still going, sluicing away with three and a go.
00:51:42How long as the weather is holding up, we will be sluicing.
00:51:46If that means you miss a night of sleep, we'll solve it.
00:51:50But we gotta go, we gotta go.
00:51:53Tony heads back to Indian River to keep his two shaker decks on the gold,
00:52:00leaving youngest son Mike at Paradise Hill to finish a stockpile at the beat's biggest gold producer,
00:52:08the Trump.
00:52:10The end is nigh.
00:52:12I am looking forward to being done for the year because I am tired, but I'm gonna have to run
00:52:17as 24 hours a day to get through all the pay I got.
00:52:21I want to go out with lots of gold, you know, go out in the bank as it were.
00:52:27Copy, Mike?
00:52:28Yeah, go ahead.
00:52:30Yeah, their distributor is spinning.
00:52:32I need you over here now.
00:52:34You shut her down.
00:52:34I'll be there in a second.
00:52:36Copy.
00:52:37I really don't need no big problems today.
00:52:46What the kind of idiot?
00:52:50Look at this.
00:52:53Just look at this.
00:53:00Holy .
00:53:04The whole thing is full of big rocks that completely jammed up my distributor.
00:53:11Oh, man.
00:53:13This is a serious up.
00:53:18The trommel filters gold from worthless dirt, throwing the waste tailings out the back of its barrel.
00:53:28Overnight, these tailings have built up, spilling into a chute that feeds the plant's distributor box.
00:53:35The spinning pipes that should evenly spread the gold-rich slurry into the sluice runs below
00:53:42have clogged up, eventually blocking the whole distributor.
00:53:47To clear the system, Mike needs to remove the rock jam and flush out the box,
00:53:53including half a night's worth of gold-rich pay dirt.
00:53:59Starter, zapper!
00:54:11The rocks, big rocks, as you can see coming out.
00:54:17It's a long and painful process of just getting in there and pulling it out.
00:54:23As far as the trommel goes, it's the biggest up I've ever seen.
00:54:32Watch out, gentlemen!
00:54:35Halfway through his day shift, Mike has enough cleared to open up the bypass
00:54:41and flush the rest of the rocks and the gold-rich pay dirt.
00:54:46I'd love to hear that.
00:54:48That's the sound of money washing away.
00:54:52So turn on the distributor, please!
00:55:03It's f***!
00:55:06It's f***!
00:55:08He says it's f***!
00:55:10He says it's f***!
00:55:10Huh?
00:55:11He went like this.
00:55:12He says it's f***!
00:55:19The motor's fried!
00:55:26Kill it!
00:55:48Get that one off, get him to bring it up here.
00:55:50At Paradise Hill, after clearing a rock jam in the trommel's distributor, now it won't fire up,
00:55:58leaving the beets with just two plants running.
00:56:02Ah, you f***!
00:56:03And only days of sluicing left.
00:56:05Whoa!
00:56:07It's a little on the crispy side.
00:56:10Brock got caught, and if jam the f*** stopped and the f*** motor couldn't turn.
00:56:16Unable to turn the distributor, the motor burnt itself out and needs replacing.
00:56:23I got a motor here.
00:56:24Hopefully we don't have any problems with this one.
00:56:28Okay, gentlemen, we're going to start putting it back together.
00:56:31Everybody in the hole.
00:56:34I could be sluicing tonight.
00:56:36That's if everything goes right.
00:56:38But considering how my luck's been going with this plant,
00:56:40I'm probably going to find about eight little problems.
00:56:46Okay, you're good to go.
00:56:49Once it warms, fire it up and just turn on the distributor.
00:57:02It works good.
00:57:07Turn the sluice locks on.
00:57:19Ah, there it's good.
00:57:25Hey, you.
00:57:26Got it working again.
00:57:27Awesome.
00:57:42After eight hours shut down,
00:57:47Mike has the Beetz family empire back to running three plants for the final push.
00:57:54That was quite a disaster, eh?
00:57:57Yeah.
00:57:57Good job, man.
00:57:58That's all I can say.
00:58:00Unfortunately, I'm experienced in it.
00:58:02I know.
00:58:24The temperatures are well below freezing.
00:58:29I was hoping to be in a better place than we are right now.
00:58:32But it is what it is.
00:58:33We still got pay dirt here.
00:58:35And we've got a cut that needs to be down to gravel if we're going to get it sluiced next
00:58:38season.
00:58:41At Kennan Stewart's, Parker has Foreman Mitch running night shift to help him beat Tony.
00:58:48And Mitch wants to finish ahead of schedule.
00:58:52I'm trying to make it home in time for my daughter's birthday and for that to happen.
00:58:56I've got to have everything here finished tonight and be on the road first thing in the morning.
00:59:03I've got quite a bit of pay here to get through.
00:59:06I'm not a real big fan of the night shifts, but it's stuff we all got to do, you know.
00:59:12By the end of the shift, Sean must sluice 2,000 yards of the pay pile through wash plant Roxanne.
00:59:21And in the cut, Mitch and Brennan and two D11 dozers
00:59:26must remove the final acre of a four-foot deep layer of mud.
00:59:32Then rip through the frozen pay layer beneath to allow it to thaw.
00:59:40We're just going to have to push through and get it all done as fast as we can here.
00:59:45This is it. We got to make her happen tonight.
00:59:52I appreciate you putting in the extra hours out here to help me get all this done.
00:59:57Oh man, I couldn't be happier to help you, my friend.
00:59:59I'm hoping to be able to get home for my daughter's birthday in time.
01:00:03How old is she turning this year?
01:00:06Dude, going to be six already.
01:00:08Feels like two years ago when I was racing home to be there when she was born.
01:00:16Yeah, man. Seeing how old Pistol is now, dude.
01:00:20It's hard not to get sad and look back on all the days that I missed him being a young
01:00:23kid, you know.
01:00:25But I've always been able to block it out of my mind pretty good while I'm up here.
01:00:37You know, you don't need to lie saying that you blocked things out of your mind there.
01:00:41I know there's not much up there anyway.
01:00:50Come on, baby. Come on.
01:00:56Oh, come on, baby. Come on. Come on.
01:01:02Yeah, buddy. We're rolling it now.
01:01:05Oh, the horsepower side by side here, Mitch.
01:01:08Buddy, there it is. Look at that pile of dirt.
01:01:18I'm starting to see some gravel here kicking up. How are you looking?
01:01:23Guys, I think I'm starting to see you the same here. Hell yeah.
01:01:27Let's get this stuff ripped up and out of here on time.
01:01:31Right on, buddy.
01:01:33Mud removed, Mitch and Brennan used the D-11's powerful rippers to tear up the frozen gravel layer.
01:01:44Oh, you got to be kidding me. Come on, man.
01:01:55Oh, man. She's ground right down. There is no way that's going to make it.
01:02:11We are so close to having this done, but that tooth is not going to make it through the rest
01:02:15of this.
01:02:17At Kennan Stewart's, Mitch Blaschke's mission to rip a frozen cut by morning has ground to a halt.
01:02:26You can see here, this is our ripper tooth.
01:02:28When you're ripping in this gravel, it's so abrasive that this last little bit that's left here,
01:02:33like that'll be gone in a couple of pushes.
01:02:36We're going to rip down, grab a new tooth. We'll be able to finish this out with one more.
01:02:41If the tooth is left to wear down any further, the ripper shank will be damaged.
01:02:50Sun's starting to come up. We don't got a lot of time left.
01:02:53We got some spare parts up top. Let's go have a look.
01:02:57Get this thing done, man. We're so close.
01:03:06Oh, is it heavy?
01:03:11We're going to rip down, throw it on that dozer. Get back out there.
01:03:18Found one, buddy.
01:03:22You ready?
01:03:28Perfect.
01:03:29All right, let's get back out there. We're about out of time.
01:03:32Sounds good.
01:03:38Yeah, buddy. Here we go.
01:03:41Back in action.
01:03:50Just got to get this last little bit ripped. We're going to have this thing done.
01:04:03Well, Brennan, I'm seeing lots of rock in this. I think this is exactly where we need to be.
01:04:08Oh, that's the best news I've heard all night, man.
01:04:12We've got this cut down on gravel for next season here at Ken's.
01:04:22Well, buddy, we did it.
01:04:23Yeah, nice work, brother.
01:04:25Man, what a project, dude. What a season.
01:04:27It's been a hell of a year working with you, man.
01:04:30Yeah, man, it's been a fun year.
01:04:34I've got to get down and check on Roxanne.
01:04:45You never know what the weather's going to do up here in the Yukon.
01:04:48It's our first snowfall for the season.
01:04:50Hopefully this doesn't hang around for long.
01:04:53It's such a good feeling here to be at the finish line.
01:04:59Here comes the boss now.
01:05:07What's happening?
01:05:08Oh, you know.
01:05:13Beautiful day.
01:05:14Yeah.
01:05:17We knew it was coming.
01:05:18Yeah.
01:05:20Hopefully it doesn't hang out for too long, get it to burn off.
01:05:23It's going to be a nice day.
01:05:24Yeah.
01:05:26Well, it looks like you're about done.
01:05:28You don't have much of a pile left.
01:05:30Yeah, I was shrinking pretty quick.
01:05:32Stripping is done, so we made it.
01:05:35Sweet.
01:05:36You've done your tour of duty.
01:05:38You've had a hell of a season, Mitch.
01:05:41Good job, man.
01:05:42Thanks, dude.
01:05:42Appreciate it.
01:05:54This is so awesome to see what we've accomplished this season.
01:05:57What the best part is now, it's time to go home,
01:06:00and I can spend some time with my family.
01:06:03He's done an incredible job, but regardless of that,
01:06:06we've got a lot of ground still to mine.
01:06:22There's just a few sweets left.
01:06:25The Ness crew have been running last chance pay through Monster Red flat out for four days.
01:06:33The material looks really good.
01:06:37Hopefully, it's going to deliver us close to 420 ounces.
01:06:40You know, I'm pretty confident that we'll get a good clean out on this, but will it be enough?
01:06:45I'm not sure.
01:06:47If we can get our 1,800-ounce gold, Rick will give us a gold bonus, so it's going to
01:06:52cross my fingers.
01:06:55We're out of pay.
01:06:56We've got to shut down.
01:06:57That's it.
01:07:00Shut it down.
01:07:03With the last chance pay done, Rick calls time on the season.
01:07:09That's it.
01:07:11Now, we've just got to hope that the gold's in the box.
01:07:15We've got to weigh it up and see where we end up.
01:07:21After cleaning up the gold, Rick's crew gather in the only bar in Keno for the make-or-break final
01:07:28gold way of the season.
01:07:31What a year.
01:07:32A little stressful.
01:07:33Yeah, this year was going to run for us all year.
01:07:38What's going on, Rick?
01:07:40You guys are all here waiting on me.
01:07:41All right.
01:07:42I've got a present for you.
01:07:47Oh, here's my drink.
01:07:48Yeah.
01:07:49Oh, look at that.
01:07:50Thank you, sir.
01:07:51Yeah, in the season.
01:07:52We made it through another one, though.
01:07:55Time to find out if they've banked enough gold to make their bonus and secure their future,
01:08:03or if it's time for Rick to sell up.
01:08:07I don't ever want to start a season like we did this year.
01:08:09It's just this water licensing.
01:08:10It's just so tough.
01:08:12We were lucky to find some ground this spring.
01:08:14You know, we got some gold out of it.
01:08:16I think there's gold there.
01:08:17It's definitely good for the future.
01:08:19I mean, I don't know what you guys think about it, but would you come back for Lightning Creek?
01:08:25I hate to be in that dude, but that's a tough one for me to come back to if we
01:08:29don't have a water
01:08:30license for Duncan Creek.
01:08:32I'm going to be honest, man.
01:08:33I'm in limbo.
01:08:34Yeah, for sure.
01:08:35I don't know what it looks like.
01:08:36Yeah, I'll be honest with you.
01:08:38We're just trying to survive this season at the moment.
01:08:41Well, maybe we should see what we got, eh?
01:08:43Let's do it.
01:08:44Let's do it.
01:08:44I'm sure you're dying to know.
01:08:45All right, we are.
01:08:46To hit his 1,800-ounce goal, Rick needs the last chance cut to deliver 420 ounces.
01:08:59All right, moment of truth.
01:09:0310, 20, 30, 50, 60, 70, 80, 90.
01:09:16100.
01:09:27131.91.
01:09:33Oh.
01:09:35But we got more.
01:09:38All right, there's 100.
01:09:42There's no 100.
01:09:48That means 431.91.
01:09:54That's it.
01:09:56On that last one-week cleanup.
01:09:58Worth over $1,727,000.
01:10:041,811.56.
01:10:06That's so close, it's ridiculous.
01:10:07Yeah.
01:10:08Yeah.
01:10:09Yeah.
01:10:10Yeah.
01:10:11Nice job, guys.
01:10:12That last chance paid off.
01:10:15It paid off.
01:10:16It paid off.
01:10:17100%.
01:10:19Rick's final total is worth over $7,246,000.
01:10:27That's awesome, isn't it?
01:10:29Yeah.
01:10:29Yeah.
01:10:29Right.
01:10:31Like, it looked bad this season for a while, but we're set.
01:10:34We got everything we need, and you guys get the bonus you deserve.
01:10:39So, there's a bonus in every one of these jars for you guys.
01:10:41Nice.
01:10:42You guys earned it.
01:10:42Yeah.
01:10:43You guys earned it.
01:10:43You guys earned it.
01:10:44No, you earned it.
01:10:46You worked damn hard for it.
01:10:48There's not a season that we haven't been with you that we have not hit our total now.
01:10:52If there's a team to do it, it's us.
01:10:54Jerry.
01:10:57Thanks much.
01:10:59It was not an easy one.
01:11:01It was hard fought, a lot of bull .
01:11:04There's some uncertainty, but for now, we hit 1,800 ounces, and we get our gold bonus.
01:11:11It was a hard season.
01:11:12I did not think we were going to do it, but we did it.
01:11:15I'm ready to keep getting gold, and I can't wait until next year.
01:11:18This was a close one.
01:11:20We hit our goal.
01:11:21We beat it by 11 ounces.
01:11:22That's insanely close.
01:11:24This season was a fight.
01:11:25There's no doubt about that.
01:11:27Right from the get-go, it just had disaster written all over it.
01:11:29This industry, man, it beats it out of you.
01:11:32Tony and Parker offered me a lot of money for this ground.
01:11:35I'm going to leave on my own terms, and if Parker and Tony are still offering when that
01:11:38time comes, well, then there we go.
01:11:41But we get through this year.
01:11:42We can get through any year.
01:11:56Well, what do you think, guys?
01:11:58I think it's getting cold, Tony.
01:12:00Our balls are almost freezing off.
01:12:02Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
01:12:03Do I like to keep on going?
01:12:04Sure, sure, sure.
01:12:06Anyway, do you think it's time to shove it down here, right?
01:12:08I think so.
01:12:11It's closing time across the Beats family empire.
01:12:17Last bucket, eh?
01:12:18Yep, last bucket of pay.
01:12:19We're finally done.
01:12:20Yeah, so let's shut her down, and then we got a full cleanup.
01:12:23Yep.
01:12:25And as Tony shuts down...
01:12:30Big red, dead for the season.
01:12:34Parker's crew also called time on the season.
01:12:39We're done.
01:12:43Good job.
01:12:44We did it.
01:12:44That's a hell of a pit to get done.
01:12:46Yeah.
01:12:47When we started it, I didn't think we'd get through it all.
01:12:49I mean, the golden mile was literally a mile.
01:12:53Let's get a cleanup done and see what's in it.
01:12:56Whatever Tony's got.
01:12:57I want to get more.
01:13:08It's time for a final Gold Ways shootout to see who is the Yukon's top dog.
01:13:17Mining mogul Parker Schnabel or Klondike kingpin Tony Beats both have four plants to weigh, with Tony just 120 ounces
01:13:30in the lead.
01:13:40I think Kevin and Faith just pulled up.
01:13:45I think Kevin and Faith just pulled up.
01:14:02On all his gold.
01:14:03How you like paying bills?
01:14:05Oh, not very well.
01:14:08Is that a surprise?
01:14:10Yeah, I never worry about that stuff.
01:14:11That's the funny part.
01:14:12I know, that's the problem.
01:14:13I think we're the same in that manner.
01:14:15You're actually admitting you're a little bit the same as your father?
01:14:18Oh, that's definitely part of where we're alike.
01:14:20Anyway, are you going to hit your gold?
01:14:22Don't know.
01:14:23That's why we brought our jars here.
01:14:25Fingers crossed.
01:14:27Kevin has three weeks of running to weigh.
01:14:30He needs nearly 800 ounces, over double his best ever gold haul, to hit his 2,000 ounce goal.
01:14:41So, let's see what we've got.
01:14:43Here you go.
01:14:45Shut up.
01:14:4610, 20, 40, 60, 70, 90, 100, 120, 150, 180, 189, 200.
01:15:00220, 230, 50, 260, 270, 300, 330, 350, 376, 376.16.
01:15:12So, how much was your total now?
01:15:14It was 1,591.
01:15:16Are you going to be able to mine next year?
01:15:20I mean, it's a good thing the gold price is this high.
01:15:22The start of next season will be a little stressful.
01:15:27Yeah, we get to come back next year.
01:15:29Yay!
01:15:30Wait, are you sure you're happy about that?
01:15:32Some more suffering, Faith.
01:15:35Kevin finishes over 400 ounces below target.
01:15:40But with record gold prices, his 1,591 ounce haul is still worth over 6.3 million dollars.
01:15:52I'm personally happy to hear that you guys are coming back next year.
01:15:56Thank you, thank you, thank you.
01:15:58We should probably weigh up some stuff.
01:16:00Now, for the main event.
01:16:03So, Parker had a good season.
01:16:04I think I can beat Parker.
01:16:12First up, find a lot's gold from the corner cut, where it's averaging 250 ounces a week.
01:16:21140, 170, 200, 202.18.
01:16:27That's it?
01:16:28Yeah, well, that's okay.
01:16:30Done.
01:16:31On to the next one.
01:16:32Hi.
01:16:32Sluice-a-lot, here we go.
01:16:35Sluice-a-lot ran Tony's new early bird cut extension that, earlier in the season, delivered 300 ounces a week.
01:16:44To 10, to 30, to 40, to 50, to 66.96.
01:16:51That's pretty damn good.
01:16:52I mean, that cut did very good this spring.
01:16:55That early bird did very good on the end.
01:16:58Good start, good finish.
01:17:00That's right.
01:17:00Absolutely.
01:17:01That works.
01:17:02So that was all the Indian River stuff?
01:17:04Tony's Indian River haul brings his total to 10,681 ounces, stretching his lead over Parker by nearly 600 ounces.
01:17:16You should do the hill stuff now?
01:17:17Yes, may as well.
01:17:18As the king prepares his next gold pour.
01:17:24Ten miles away,
01:17:25Yo, yo.
01:17:27The mining mogul is getting ready to fight back.
01:17:31Do you realize, collectively, we have sluiced over 10,000 hours this year?
01:17:38Yeah, we were busy.
01:17:40I was just doing the numbers.
01:17:41We sluiced two million yards.
01:17:43Oh, f***.
01:17:45I'd be surprised if Tony beats us.
01:17:47Yep.
01:17:48Okay, should we weigh some gold?
01:17:50All right, let's do it.
01:17:52This is Roxanne.
01:17:55First up, wash plant Roxanne, with the last of the gold from Ken and Stewart's.
01:18:02Which last week delivered 134 ounces.
01:18:0660, 80, and 94.90.
01:18:19Not bad, eh?
01:18:23The lone soul Bob.
01:18:24Next, wash plant Bob with the final bridge cut gold.
01:18:31Averaging 140 ounces a week.
01:18:3440.
01:18:3670.
01:18:3890.
01:18:44103.75.
01:18:47Yeah.
01:18:48Not bad, eh?
01:18:49It's not bad.
01:18:50Triple digits.
01:18:51Yeah.
01:18:53Parker's total is up to 10,288.
01:18:57Clawing Tony's lead down to less than 400 ounces, with the golden mile still to weigh.
01:19:05But the king is now ready to tally up his final two plants.
01:19:12Start with Harold, Michael?
01:19:13Yep.
01:19:14Harold has been running Hester Cut Pay.
01:19:18Last week, it brought in 130 ounces.
01:19:22Let's go.
01:19:2320, 30, 40, 50, 60, 70, 80, 90, 100, 110, 120, 130, 132.12.
01:19:36Nice to see Mike, it is a nice little hole.
01:19:39All right, so we've got our last one.
01:19:42Are you ready to be jealous?
01:19:43I'm gonna be annoyed, aren't I?
01:19:45One.
01:19:46Last up, Mike's Trommel.
01:19:48Two.
01:19:48The monster plant's been running Paradise Hills White Channel Pay, averaging 320 ounces a week.
01:19:57Ready?
01:19:5820, 30, 40, 50, 60, 70, 80, 90, 100, 110.
01:20:08120, 130, 140, 150, 170, 180, 190, 200, 210,
01:20:14240, 250, 260, 270, 280, 3, 320, 350, 370, 380, 390, 410, 417.36.
01:20:27Hot damn.
01:20:28Two million bucks.
01:20:29Not best for the last little hole.
01:20:32That's amazing.
01:20:33Our biggest season ever.
01:20:35The Beats finish with a colossal season total of 11,231 ounces,
01:20:43worth a massive $45 million.
01:20:49That was a great season, guys.
01:20:51Let's wrap her up and let's get on and off.
01:20:53Let's get ready for the next one.
01:20:55All right.
01:20:58That was a good season, my friend.
01:20:59It was a damn good season.
01:21:01Things fell in place.
01:21:02It's just nice to see at our age to come all this together that way.
01:21:06Yeah.
01:21:06But really, I'm ready to go start next spring.
01:21:09Not me.
01:21:10I want to have a holiday first.
01:21:11I almost guarantee I'll be the first one back in the Yukon.
01:21:17Tony walks away with a record-shattering season total.
01:21:21More than 940 ounces ahead of Parker.
01:21:26Now, the young buck needs a monster score from his last two plants.
01:21:31All righty, let's see how the golden mile finished off.
01:21:34Parker is combining his golden goose and big red wash plants into one final double pour.
01:21:41Together, they ran the end of the golden mile, the richest cut Parker's mined this season.
01:21:47130, 180, 220, 240.
01:21:55Keeps coming, eh?
01:21:57260, 300, 307.95.
01:22:10So where'd we end up?
01:22:13This week, 506.6.
01:22:17Our season total, 10,596.45 ounces.
01:22:26I'm just going to say 10,600.
01:22:29I'm sure there's three extra ounces in that safe somewhere.
01:22:32Well done, gentlemen.
01:22:33Well done.
01:22:34That's awesome.
01:22:3510-6.
01:22:35Sweet.
01:22:37Parker finishes 630 ounces behind Tony.
01:22:42The now undisputed king of the Klondike.
01:22:45But his 10,600 ounces is still Parker's biggest ever season haul, worth $42 million.
01:22:57We had a really good season.
01:22:58You know, this last week, I think, probably could have pulled a little more gold out if
01:23:03we didn't have as many problems as we did.
01:23:05But overall, you know, super solid year.
01:23:10Parker's such a smart miner.
01:23:13As I look back through the years, from a snot-nosed kid at 38 ounces for his first season to
01:23:1910,000 ounces now, it's amazing.
01:23:23Just totally amazing.
01:23:25We'll be back next year, and we'll hopefully do even more.
01:23:29And I'm ready to hunt for the next big project, right?
01:23:34Like, the elephant gun is loaded, and we need to find where to go next.
01:23:40Here we go.
01:23:43.
01:23:43.
01:23:43.
01:23:45.
01:23:45.
01:23:46.
