"Daphne takes Mystery Inc. to see her celebrity bestie Kacey Musgraves in Nashville where she is performing. However, a phantom is on the loose, attacking artists it doesn't like! Can Kacey manage to tell her story of the "Hot, Hot, Hot Sauce" before the Phantom closes her show?"
"At the Tallis Taggert Auditorium in Nashville, country singer Kacey Musgraves directs a play with three actors. However, during the rehearsal, they are attacked by a ghost. Later, Mystery Inc. visits the theatre, they discover that Daphne is a friend of Kacey and Kacey explains the legend the play is based on."
"The legend states that two horses discovered hot sauce coming from underground, and a mesquite tree led them to barbecue ribs to eat with the sauce, giving birth to Texan barbecue. Kacey also identifies the ghost as that of Tallis Taggert, a steamboat captain who built the auditorium but was known for attacking artists it did not approve of. Fred notes a plaster residue left behind on the statue. However, after organ music plays, the ghost appears and chases them around the auditorium; after escaping the ghost, Velma notes a muddy footprint the ghost left behind."

00:07For the best in news, sports, and great entertainment, tune to the number one television network, NBC.
00:28We are just a couple of horses running wild and free.
00:35What's this bubbling up from below?
00:44What's this bubbling up from below?
00:49Sir Crawford, it's time for the tree.
00:53Okay, so the tree says that's hot, hot, hot sauce. Cue the rise of the crazy hot sauce, please.
01:01Boy, we are really not ready.
01:06Hey, there's no organ music in my show.
01:13Definitely none of that either.
01:20This is my theater. Mine. Get out, or be doomed forever.
01:28Ever.
01:29. . .
03:30Now?
03:30Daphne!
03:32Jinkies, it's famous country music star, Kacey Musgraves.
03:37Howdy, y'all.
03:38How's the tassel business, bestie?
03:40Oh, you know, swinging and singing, bestie.
03:46Oh, good.
03:47You got the costumes.
03:48All right, y'all want to come inside?
03:56What are you waiting for, guys?
03:58The mystery's this way.
03:59Oh, man.
04:00I was afraid you were gonna say that.
04:04Oh, I'm so excited, Kacey.
04:07When I heard you were doing a live performance to reopen the Talus Taggart Country Auditorium, I just had to
04:12bring my friends.
04:13I'm so glad you did, but I'm afraid there's not even gonna be a show.
04:17Because this terrible ghost is haunting this place.
04:20You need to scare off most of the crew.
04:22Not a ghost.
04:24We're just gonna have to cancel.
04:26But the theater will be closed for good.
04:28We can't let that happen.
04:30Don't worry.
04:30We'll help you with this horrible phantom.
04:32Really?
04:33Ugh, that's awesome.
04:34We love solving mysteries.
04:36We don't.
04:37We don't.
04:39Maybe you'd better start from the beginning, Kacey.
04:41Tell us the whole story.
04:42From the top.
04:43Okay.
04:44It's an old story.
04:45Something my granddad used to tell me when I was little.
04:48Long ago, two horses galloped across the great state of Texas.
04:54Their pounding hoof prints cracked the ground.
04:57And up came a bubbling bunch of hot, hot, hot sauce.
05:02They tasted it.
05:03And sister, it was hot.
05:09They loved it.
05:11And they needed some kind of food to put it on.
05:13So an old mesquite tree suggested that they use him to smoke up a bunch of food in a nearby
05:18smoker.
05:18And thus, Texas barbecue was born.
05:25And that's what the hot, hot, hot sauce, Kacey Palooza extravaganza is all about.
05:31Like Kacey, dude.
05:32That was the greatest thing I have ever heard.
05:35Yeah.
05:36Cool story, Kacey Musgraves.
05:39Um, I think we meant, what can you tell us about the phantom?
05:44Oh, right.
05:45Sorry.
05:45I guess I'm just really into my show right now.
05:48Here, follow me.
05:57Okay, y'all.
05:58This is the phantom.
06:00Hey, looks like somebody's been doing some work in here.
06:03There's plaster on the statue.
06:05Captain Talis Taggart.
06:07It says here that he made a fortune in steamboats in the 1870s.
06:11Right here in Nashville on the Cumberland River.
06:13He built this auditorium mostly for church functions.
06:16But it became famous as a country music venue.
06:19Rumor has it he was an angry man.
06:21He cursed his own theater, haunting it and attacking artists he doesn't like.
06:25But everybody likes Kacey Musgraves.
06:29Like where's that creepy organ music coming from?
06:34From the deadly tips below.
06:39It's the phantom!
06:41Run!
06:48Right phantom dude, sir, how do you do?
06:50We have your ticket.
06:51Let's get you seated for the show.
06:53This way.
06:55Hurry, hurry, hurry.
07:03Howdy, y'all.
07:04Now I'd like to ask for a volunteer from the audience.
07:06Like this dude volunteers.
07:08Here, here, here.
07:09Pick him, pick him.
07:10Good one.
07:13It's really easy.
07:15Okay, just put the guitar on like this.
07:16Okay, put your hand here.
07:18Just like that.
07:19Looks good.
07:20And go.
08:01Look.
08:03A muddy footprint.
08:06Like what kind of ghost phantom dude leaves a muddy footprint.
08:10A really rude phantom?
08:12You got that right, Scooby-Doo.
08:14Oh, I hate being right.
08:19I think he's gone.
08:32John?
08:33Casey.
08:34Oh, thank my lucky stars.
08:36Uh, gang, this is John the Point.
08:38Um, he's my producer.
08:40When I saw that horrible phantom chasing you kids earlier, I hid inside that cabinet.
08:44We understand, Mr. Producer Dude.
08:46Yeah.
08:47We're total cowards.
08:48Now, you're missing the point.
08:50I specifically quit my job as a big time Hollywood producer of blockbuster action movies because I was inspired by
08:57Casey's vision.
08:59And I love Texas barbecue.
09:01I wanted to embrace Ms. Musgrave's true creativity and sense of storytelling.
09:07To leave all of that silly Hollywood hoopla behind me.
09:11So, I refuse to let some phantom stop you, Casey.
09:14We have to put on this show no matter what.
09:19That's great, Mr. Leupoint.
09:21We'll help in any way we can.
09:23Thanks, mystery-solving teens.
09:29Oh, boy.
09:40Nobody's touching my barbecue.
09:43Laredo here is in charge of cooking up the Texas barbecue for the show.
09:48Smells delicious.
09:51Laredo, huh?
09:52Is that where you're from, cowgirl?
09:53No.
09:54I'm from Houston.
09:56Oh.
09:56Oh.
09:57Okay.
09:58Do we have some?
10:00Well, you won't even know it's gone.
10:06And you, Ms. Musgrave, got nothing but respect.
10:09But I hope your show does get canceled.
10:11There's no excuse for the lack of security around here.
10:16I can't have some looky-loos steal the secret ingredients to my sauces and rubs.
10:25Those are gonna stay safe right inside this here smoker.
10:29Okay, Laredo.
10:30Duly noted.
10:32Suspicious.
10:35I put together a little meat snack for you boys, plus every hot sauce known to humanity.
10:40Like Casey Musgraves, you are, like, totally awesome.
10:43Casey Musgraves, you're the best.
11:07Miss Musgrave, a word please.
11:10Guys, this is the great Sir Daniel Crawford.
11:12He is playing the mesquite tree in my show.
11:14You mean was playing the mesquite tree?
11:17That terrible ghost has me so scared, I can't even get out of this costume.
11:23Agh!
11:24I quit!
11:24I have to do the quaint-quaint-quaint-quaint-quaint-quaint-quaint-quaint-quaint-quaint-quaint-quaint-quaint-quaint-quaint
11:29-quaint-quaint-quaint-quaint!
11:31He is not a very nice tree.
11:34Back to eating hot sauce.
11:39Careful, Scooby.
11:40That's my extra special homemade hot hot hot sauce
11:55Like that is serious hot sauce y'all it's perfectly safe. I promise it's just a little hard on the

12:58Hold the phone
13:01Scooby
13:08It's one of captain taggart's old river boats
13:14Same muddy footprint good boy scooby so we know the phantom was down here. Let's look for more clues
13:23It certainly doesn't look like anyone's been down here for a hundred years
13:29I think I found the source of the phantom's organ music see it's rigged to play via remote
