Union Home Minister Amit Shah visited the Dakshineswar Kali Temple after arriving in Kolkata on Friday and offered prayers. He was welcomed at the airport by senior BJP leaders. Amit Shah is in West Bengal to attend the BJP legislature party meeting, where the party is expected to elect its new legislative leader. Following the BJP’s historic election victory, the process of forming the new government in the state has gained momentum. The oath-taking ceremony will be held at Brigade Parade Ground on Saturday.
