The driver assistance systems in the upgraded Audi Q4 e-tron make everyday driving noticeably easier – and increase safety. Depending on the equipment level, the Tech, Tech plus, and Tech pro packages are available. Standard features at market launch include: Park Assist plus with distance display, cruise control (including speed limiter) with preparation for Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Departure Warning with Emergency Assist, traffic sign recognition, Attention and Fatigue Warning with driver monitoring, and Active Front Assist with Evasive Steering and Turn Assist, Front Cross Traffic Alert, and Front Emergency Brake Assist.

For added comfort, Adaptive Driving Assist plus (AFA) is available: It provides support with acceleration, braking, maintaining speed and distance, and lane keeping. On highways, the system can also assist with lane changes at speeds above 90 km/h. Drivers activate the function via the MMI. The system uses arrow symbols in the instrument cluster and head-up display to indicate whether a lane change is possible and actively assists with steering input after the turn signal is activated. In conjunction with online data, the AFA (Automatic Lane Keeping Assist) can maintain lane position even without a detected lane marking, thus increasing comfort in both rural and urban traffic. Access to online data is included for three years from delivery. Especially in urban areas, optional features such as adaptive parking, reversing assist, parking assist plus, and four wide-angle surround-view cameras further enhance ease of use. Traffic sign recognition also displays warning signs – such as "yield," construction and pedestrian warnings, animal warning signs, and railroad crossing indicators.
