00:00:06we want to take a moment to honor a man who changed professional wrestling forever, Ted Turner.
00:00:15We learned of his passing earlier today at the age of 87.
00:00:21Ted Turner believed in pro wrestling.
00:00:23He believed in you, the fans, and he believed that pro wrestling belonged on national television.
00:00:30And because of his passion, because of his vision, it found a home on TBS.
00:00:36And then later in the 90s, on TNT.
00:00:39And therefore, generations of fans around the world knew that we were destination viewing.
00:00:47And I knew that firsthand.
00:00:49I began in the studio at TBS in 1985.
00:00:57Decades later, because of the foundation that was laid by Ted Turner, we still survive today.
00:01:05Through the leadership of Tony Khan at AEW.
00:01:09Through the leadership of Warner Discovery, wrestling still survives.
00:01:15Ted Turner spanned many generations, spanned many, many careers.
00:01:24He loved wrestling.
00:01:25He loved the fans.
00:01:26We are here today because of him.
00:01:32And there's one man, there is one man who knows this better than anyone else.
00:01:39In 1987, he arrived at the studios at TBS.
00:01:45And since that time, he has become one of the faces of what wrestling means to TBS.
00:01:52Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome Sting.
00:02:38Here we are again, Sting.
00:02:44Sting, we both knew Ted Turner very, very well.
00:02:48He was a big part of you and I being together for all these years, for decades.
00:02:56And I know you have a lot of memories of him because you met with him a number of times.
00:02:59And you have some of those you want to share with us.
00:03:02Can you imagine having an all-in billionaire who absolutely loved pro wrestling?
00:03:14I'm talking about right now the billionaire Ted, Big Ted, Big Ted, yes.
00:03:24I can't believe what he did for us.
00:03:27He was completely committed to us, devoted to us in every conceivable way.
00:03:33So much so that when some of the top brass up there at CNN Towers would have their meetings
00:03:38with Ted, they'd say, Ted, we don't know about this whole pro wrestling thing.
00:03:42I think it's time to cut them off because we're always in the red.
00:03:49Ted would tell us that story and then he'd say, I'd look at all of them and say, you wrestlers
00:03:54just keep on doing what you're doing because I got some deep pockets.
00:03:59And that's a shoot, that's actually what he said.

00:08:50Well, ahead of our opening contest, let's throw it down to ringside and our colleague, the remarkable, Renee Paquette.
00:08:57John Moxley and Juice Robinson have a long history, each man knowing the others, every strength, every weakness.
00:09:05John Moxley referred to this as basically the longest bar fight in history.
00:09:10I attempted to catch up with Juice Robinson earlier today, but he just continued to manically mutter,
00:09:16I beat Jon Moxley before him, and I beat Jon Moxley again.

00:09:24As the AEW Continental Champion, John Moxley makes his way over a barricade.
00:09:28Taz, these eliminator matches, very dangerous for the champion because it is under Continental rules.

00:09:36But Juice Robinson, if he goes the distance with John Moxley, that's as good as his win.

00:10:11But then we saw the long-awaited return of Austin and Colton Gunn to the Bang Bang Gang.
00:10:18It looks like the Bang Bang Gang is getting stronger and just in the nick of time.

00:10:26Moxley got out of the ring, but that didn't stop the Bang Bang Gang from making their presence known.

00:18:38It'd be interesting to see exactly how this all plays out, but it is absolutely mind-boggling
00:18:44when you think about how Will Ospreay made it his mission to take Jon Moxley out not that
00:18:50long ago.
00:18:50Oh, yeah, it's definitely strange.
00:18:52I don't disagree.
00:18:55Perhaps Ospreay feels like he's lost a step since neck surgery, and that the Death Riders
00:19:01can help him get back up to speed.
