00:09This was a very fun outing.
00:11We spent approximately two hours kayaking around and through the mangroves,
00:16followed by a short snorkel, no fins allowed, in a narrow passage through the growth.
00:22Hundreds and hundreds of juvenile snappers, I think, making their home there,
00:27and well as many other small fish. The young guide was excellent and funny and informative,
00:33as well as having to say everything twice, once in Dutch and once in English.
00:39We drove our rental truck to get there, and be aware that quite a bit of the drive is on
00:44rotted dirt road, you should not do this in a car. A unique nature adventure
00:50We saw flamingo flocks, wild donkeys, and sea turtles before even arrived at the mangroves.
00:58The mangroves are eerily beautiful and loaded with fish and sponges of different color.
01:03The snorkeling felt completely safe, no snakes or crocs on the island helps with that.
01:09Our guide, Yuri, was very knowledgeable about the wildlife and the mangroves themselves.
