00:07London is the best cosmopolitan city in the world to live in.
00:10Hi!
00:11She's single and desperate.
00:13Cheers, cheers.
00:15London is like the capital of the world.
00:17Everybody's dressed so well.
00:19London's grand and it's cool.
00:21Thanks for coming to Longley House.
00:24Welcome, you two teeth.
00:25But we came for champagne.
00:29Emma is very elegant, very aristocracy.
00:32Do you have any tiaras?
00:33We can't have it.
00:34Not all my friends have, Charles Jura, you know.
00:38In the early 2000s, I made the sexiest British film ever made.
00:42Is it a porn film?
00:45Should we kick off with a little Patron?
00:47Be healthy and start with the mirror, Val.
00:51Martha is the real lady of the group.
00:53I can get married in this, I can get buried in this.
00:55It's about the same thing, isn't it?
00:57I think I should focus on what matters.
01:00Okay.
01:01Not that we're ever superficial.
01:03We could share.
01:04So you pay half, I pay half.
01:06No, you pay full and I'll wear it half the time.
01:10Beautiful, Missy.
01:11Missy looks like a Vogue ad.
01:13Oh, my boobs are out again.
01:15I'm an American coming in to teach etiquette.
01:18You hold your fork like this.
01:19Wow, really?
01:22Cheers.
01:23Cheers.
01:24To friendship.
01:24It makes me so angry that I trust these f***ing people.
01:27Margot and I have been friends for 20 years.
01:30Margot will f***ing you over.
01:31Get your f***ing finger out of my face, Kenny.
01:35So I'm lying.
01:36Tell the truth!
01:38I don't think she'll make it in London.
01:40I think she's far better suited to Los Angeles.
01:43I always felt like you were my sister.
01:45But you are a psychotic bitch.
01:46I know I am, but does it make me a bad person?
01:48I know.
01:51Why don't you bother me?
01:53You know you'll never feed me.
01:55You might be free.
01:56But this is my scene.
02:13There's a reason we call summer in London the season.
02:17Because it's when everything happens.
02:19It's when London is in full bloom.
02:21There quite simply isn't enough time.
02:23No matter how many champagnes are poured, there's just too much to do.
02:29On any given summer's day, you will find a marvellous garden party.
02:38Hello.
02:39How are you?
02:40Good afternoon.
02:40I'm very well.
02:41Lovely to see you.
02:42Pleased to see you too.
02:43The florists have done an absolutely amazing job in the courtyard.
02:46That's beautiful.
02:48Hello.
02:48Hi there.
02:49I do think that the flowers that are on the floor, we should lift up.
02:52Perfect.
02:53I'm a perfectionist.
02:54Sorry.
02:55I'm not a socialite.
02:56I'm a social animal.
02:57These are unattractive.
02:58Churchill can stay.
03:00I live for people and I get all my energy from people.
03:05I'm a nasty bitch and everybody knows that.
03:07Let's not pretend.
03:08I bring a lot of people together and I just throw them all in a room and wait and see
03:13what happens.
03:14Glamourish.
03:16I first met Mark when he was like 19.
03:19And I gotta say, if I ever wanted a sperm donor, I would have been like, oh, you're so good
03:24looking.
03:25Kimmy is one of those people who reminds you that life is so much more fun when you let go.
03:31What's this?
03:32A fan.
03:33Oh, I love this.
03:39Hello, darling.
03:41Oh, my God.
03:41This is the hardest colour on the face of the earth to wear.
03:45It kills me.
03:46But I love it.
03:47I've been in London now for 25 years.
03:50There's not as much judgment here as there is in America.
03:54If you have a glass of champagne at 11 o'clock in the morning in the States, people start telling
03:59you you're a problem drinker.
04:00I'd like a drink every 15 minutes.
04:02The lady likes two at a time.
04:03And when I pass out every six.
04:06But in London, they put like a superstar badge on your thing.
04:09Like, come on in.
04:16Wow.
04:18Wow.
04:19You are sensational.
04:22Missy's hot and she knows it.
04:24I like sexy looks.
04:25I am very comfortable in my own skin.
04:28Sometimes I look at Missy's outfits and I think, you're just waiting for a breeze, aren't you?
04:32Nip's lips, her best friend.
04:34Oh, my boobs are out again.
04:37Join us.
04:38You look gorgeous, Missy.
04:39If I had a body like that, I'd be half naked too, right?
04:42Missy, you're looking particularly naked and hot.
04:44Yeah.
04:44No.
04:45I grew up in Sweden.
04:47I worked as a model most of my life.
04:50I travelled the world.
04:51But there's something about London that I always come back to, especially for my job.
04:56You know, with fashion, with modelling, people knows my name here.
05:00Have you been in Ibiza?
05:01Yeah, because I work a lot there.
05:03You tanned super quickly.
05:04Super quickly, yeah.
05:05So lucky.
05:06Yes.
05:06It takes me until September to be tanned.
05:13Micah's just so nice.
05:16But it's not a facade.
05:18Nice.
05:19I like it.
05:20This is incredible.
05:21She's not trying to play you.
05:23But in London, it's not something we're very well accustomed to.
05:27Just a tiny, tiny...
05:28No.
05:29No.
05:30No, absolutely not.
05:31I don't like anything tiny, but thank you for thinking.
05:33There's nobody like Mark.
05:35Everybody knows him.
05:35You'll walk into a restaurant, and you can't get him to the table, because he is stopping
05:40at every single table before your table to say hi.
05:43Mark Francis, how do you do?
05:45Mark, pleased to meet you.
05:47We're the Loud Americans.
05:48Oh, I'm the Loud Euro.
05:50Oh, that's so cute.
05:52You're adorable.
06:02Hi.
06:03Hello.
06:04Hi.
06:04Hello.
06:05Hello.
06:05Oh, so do you.
06:06How are you?
06:07Latte and Joshua are super cool kids.
06:10They're trendsetters, in the know of everything.
06:12They do what they want.
06:13They don't care what people think, which I love about them.
06:16I'm liking your look.
06:18It's kind of...
06:19No, you look...
06:33Celebrity tailor to the stars.
06:35We both work in design.
06:36I think this is perfect.
06:37I can just do those alterations, do the matching pant.
06:40We do a lot of red carpets.
06:42Tom Holland, Jason Momoa.
06:44We dress Sabrina Carpenter for the Brit Awards.
06:47Mark and I.
06:48We were lovers in the 90s.
06:50Then he decided he didn't.
06:50I wasn't even born in the 90s, you f***ing bitch.
06:54Contain yourself.
06:59What are you having?
07:00White one.
07:01Whatever they handed me.
07:03Can I have two?
07:05Is Emma coming?
07:06Emma's in can.
07:07She's got to work.
07:12Obviously, we know you do, like, etiquette stuff.
07:15Yeah, yeah.
07:15But, like, British etiquette or American?
07:17Because, like, does American etiquette even exist?
07:21My company, Beaumont Etiquette, is an etiquette consultancy
07:24where I teach people from all over the world etiquette.
07:28How can we be better guests this holiday season?
07:31You think you're having good etiquette by showing up early,
07:33but actually...
07:34It's very annoying.
07:34Ten minutes late, or late, past invitation time,
07:38is the right time to show up.
07:39People come to me from all over the world
07:42to give them confidence.
07:43When you're coming out, it is like this,
07:46but you're already making eye contact with the audience,
07:50and it's eyes open, mouth open.
07:52Hi, everyone.
07:53More powerful.
07:54A little bit louder, maybe?
07:56Hi, everyone.
07:57Beautiful.
07:58I teach mostly Americans and international people.
08:01For example, the table setting is so different.
08:03start the cutler on the outside.
08:05So then nobody wants to sit next to me at the dinner table.
08:07Yeah, exactly.
08:13There's this wonderful woman I won't name.
08:15Oh, no.
08:16What are you saying?
08:16Every time her husband cheated on her,
08:19she was overjoyed.
08:21No.
08:22Because it meant she got a new Picasso.
08:24And she ended up with one of the world's greatest collections of Picasso.
08:27Wow, I love that.
08:28But of course she'd have to pretend she was mortified
08:31until the picture was up.
08:33And then she was there calling more girls.
08:36She had an escort agency on speed dial.
08:39I was going to say.
08:40Oh, maybe she had that person on.
08:42Who are we talking about?
08:43Apparently your friend is a madam.
08:46Is that true?
08:48Which friend?
08:49What friend?
08:50Dara.
08:51She's a madam.
08:53This Dara girl, do you know her?
08:55I called someone else who knows her.
08:57And they told me she's a madam.
08:59She's a madam?
09:01Nice.
09:01That's what I heard.
09:02Oh, but she's not coming to the party.
09:04So Dara's not coming.
09:05Well, I suppose you work 24-7 when you're a madam.
09:08Is that true?
09:11What?
09:12No, she's like a Harvard architect.
09:15Yeah, she's a highly intelligent.
09:18Yeah, she could hard work her.
09:20Moonlight is something that makes more money?
09:21No.
09:22Oh, my God, I'd make the best madam ever.
09:25That's very untrue.
09:26I've known her since college.
09:27Oh.
09:28We've known each other for 24 years.
09:29How do you know, though?
09:30I work right above her in the office.
09:36I was 17 when I met Dara.
09:38Our friendship has always been pretty strong.
09:40We weren't super close.
09:41We met at the University of Florida.
09:43And Dara and I have called each other Bunny for over a decade.
09:47Hello, Bunny.
09:49Can you call me by my regular name?
09:52Fast forward, we're both in London.
09:54We met back up.
09:55We still weren't that close.
09:58We always support each other through career, motherhood, friendship.
10:02This is beautiful.
10:03You look fab.
10:04Thanks.
10:05Wow.
10:05Micah looks up to me for business.
10:07I feel like she's still really trying to find what it is that will bring her success.
10:13And she's not quite there yet.
10:15What's this?
10:16A little gift.
10:17A productivity tool for us.
10:18Really?
10:19Yeah.
10:19Okay.
10:21Oh, my God.
10:23Right.
10:25They have to be pink, though.
10:27Okay.
10:28I love this.
10:30This is poor etiquette to be starting rumors like that.
10:34That could not be further from the truth.
10:36No, of course not.
10:37She's a really professional woman.
10:39Well, I mean, they usually are.
10:55I heard from Martha that your friend, Dara, she's a madam.
11:03Oh, my gosh.
11:05No.
11:05She's not nice.
11:06She's really nice.
11:07I don't say that she's not nice.
11:08I just thought I brought my CV with me.
11:11The word madam is not really something that you would throw around, especially at a garden
11:16party.
11:16I did go on a date she set me up on.
11:19Oh, there you go.
11:21I thought she was showing up, too, and she didn't show up.
11:25That was like as a friend.
11:27Yeah.
11:27She likes to connect people together.
11:29I don't know.
11:30Are you madam for that or not?
11:33Can I just be excuse me for one minute?
11:34Yes.
11:35Wow.
11:35Oh, wow.
11:36Okay.
11:36Well, that was wild.
11:37That's a really big thing to say.
11:39In America, that would be like defamation of character, like that.
11:42I love that the Americans go straight to the suing.
11:45Seriously?
11:46But it's, yeah.
11:50Now, look, somebody could still take that.
11:54Where's Martha?
11:55I know.
11:56Where's Martha?
12:06Martha, baby.
12:08Hi, kids.
12:10Hi, kids.
12:11Kimmy is a good time.
12:12I've known her nearly 20 years now.
12:15I met Kimmy through one of our great British millioners, Philip Tracy.
12:18One day, he said to me, Kimmy, I want you to meet your blonde nemesis.
12:25Her name was Martha Sewell, and I was like, oh.
12:27He took us both to Derby as his reservoir bitches.
12:31Martha got in the car, and she was like, oh, I need some more cigarettes.
12:36But I've run out of money.
12:38I was like, I fucking love her.
12:41We just went and set the town on fire.
12:44Thank you for having me.
12:46You look so beautiful.
12:48Thank you, darling.
12:49I've known Martha, gosh, at least a decade.
12:53Ah, how did I meet Mark?
12:56I've always found her intriguing, interesting, brilliant, unique.
13:01I definitely met Mark at a party.
13:03You look incredible.
13:04So do you.
13:05Well, I brought the girls.
13:06I just didn't realize how fucking cold it would be.
13:09I don't know if we should grab something to drink.
13:11What would you like?
13:12I don't know.
13:12A shot of tequila.
13:13Nothing.
13:14No, it's over.
13:15Like Mark's hailing.
13:16Something that works with the outfit.
13:17Leave it to me.
13:20Divine.
13:20Right?
13:21Thank God.
13:22Finally a man who gets it.
13:23I'm from South Carolina.
13:25I got to London when I was 18 and stayed there until I was 30.
13:28And then I moved to Los Angeles.
13:30And now I'm back in London this summer to work on a British TV show called The Trip.
13:34Margot and I met over 20 years ago.
13:37She was dating this Persian prince.
13:41And his brother had a big crush on me.
13:43And I was like, this girl's amazing.
13:44She was so beautiful.
13:45She was so funny.
13:47She was so warm.
13:48Love at first sight.
13:49Quite a nice juxtaposition of color.
13:52Look at you.
13:54Here, darling.
13:55Shall we?
13:56Yeah.
13:58It's Lottie.
13:59Look at this suit.
14:00Isn't it fabulous?
14:02Oh, these are the ones that told me the Dara story.
14:08I cannot keep a secret.
14:10Margot heard that Dara was a madam.
14:12So, of course, I spread the rumor.
14:14We heard a rumor.
14:15That is from there.
14:16So, may or may not be true.
14:17These are the naughty bitches.
14:19I've known Dara for 24 years.
14:21We met as teenagers.
14:23Yeah.
14:23At the University of Florida.
14:24And she went to Harvard and I went to New York.
14:26University of Florida.
14:27And then?
14:28Madam side.
14:28Harvard.
14:29Not Madam side.
14:31So, where did you hear this?
14:32This girl said to me, oh, she's, like, really spicy and difficult.
14:38I just had to question about where we had a 33-gram bottle of wine, okay?
14:45And another woman was like, oh, I think she's a madam.
14:52It could not be further from the truth.
14:54The thing about me not drinking is that, like, I get really bored and I need to, like, contain myself
14:59somewhere.
15:01Dara is not here to defend herself.
15:04It's up to me to stick up for Dara because I would want her to do this for me.
15:10That's what friendship is.
15:11She spends every waking hour working.
15:14She's a really good mom.
15:15She is a really good friend.
15:17She's a real professional worker, architect, entrepreneur.
15:20She's so smart.
15:21She could not be further from a man.
15:23I think it'll grow to love her.
15:24Okay.
15:24And you'll be shocked that that was even said.
15:28Thou doth protest too much, me thinks.
15:31People say awful things about me and they're almost always true.
15:34I feel a bit bad.
15:35Why?
15:36Because my cat, she's so nice.
15:39And you know when we left the lunch?
15:40Yeah.
15:41Micah.
15:42Micah.
15:42She's my friend.
15:43I've known her since college.
15:45We're very different people.
15:47Yes, I remember that.
15:48And then we left the lunch and then we were walking to our cars.
15:52Dara said that she was, like, embarrassed of her.
15:56Dara said she was cringe.
15:57You know when you know someone from your past and you're, like, embarrassed, they're going to embarrass you because you
16:01build this whole new image?
16:03Do you think I should tell her or not?
16:05If you want to get involved in other people's business, then you can.
16:08But if I were you, then I wouldn't be doing that.
16:11No.
16:12Like, I don't think it's, you know, it's not your problem.
16:21Does anyone know?
16:23No, I haven't told any.
16:24You're the only one who knows.
16:25I'm kidding.
16:26I actually have some news.
16:28You're pregnant?
16:29No way!
16:30Oh!
16:32We're trying to get everyone together.
16:34Che belli questi occhiali.
16:36I think I have the same ones.
16:38They're beautiful.
16:38Mark, come over.
16:39You should be in the lineup.
16:40We should be filing cards.
16:42Well, guys, I wanted to just get everyone together, because, just to tell you all that I'm actually pregnant.
16:49Oh, congratulations!
16:51Bring her a glass of wine immediately.
16:54No, you can't really tell, Mark.
16:56I'm like, no.
16:57I just thought you had IBS.
16:59I know.
17:00I'm pregnant, not fat.
17:01I'm up the duff, babe.
17:02Yeah.
17:04What a wonderful way to start the season.
17:06Good people, good energy, of course, gossip.
17:09Your friend is a madam.
17:11What?
17:12Scandals.
17:13Tara said that my card was too much.
17:16She was, like, embarrassed of her.
17:18And people are going to say things.
17:19But come on, get with the program.
17:21Scandals fun!
17:22Cheers.
17:23Congratulations.
17:25On that note, I need a really strong drink.
17:28Let's go, Mama.
17:29Coming up on Ladies of London.
17:31I did not think this would be my life.
17:33I was moving to Beverly Hills.
17:35Is that nice?
17:36I do, I am pleased.
17:44In the UK, there are royals.
17:46Then there are the aristocrats.
17:48And then there's just other members of London society.
17:51They don't have this in America.
17:52So the Americans are like, woo!
17:54But here, you could be sitting at a pub next to a lady, next to a prince.
17:57And it's actually very common.
18:00It's like seeing Sarah Jessica Parker in New York City.
18:02It happens all the time.
18:04My title is Martha Lady Sitwell.
18:07My lady title came from marrying a baronet, which is the lowest on the run.
18:13But it's not a hereditary title.
18:16Hereditary titles have been done away with now.
18:18So what?
18:18Great Granny f***ing Charles.
18:20Whatever.
18:24My title is the Martianess of Bath.
18:26My husband is the Marquess of Bath.
18:28Emma is the embodiment of the modern aristocrat.
18:32She's cool.
18:33She's trendy.
18:33But at the same time, she holds with great grace the weight of being one of Britain's most important aristocrats.
18:41She's the first black woman to be married into an aristocracy family.
18:49And I think Meghan Markle tries to claim that, but it was actually Emma.
19:00I'm of mixed heritage, half Nigerian, half English.
19:03The press commented heavily on the fact that I was going to become the first woman of colour to hold
19:09this title.
19:09And I acknowledge the fact that I'm the only one still.
19:14The only woman of colour in this position is me still to this day.
19:18Hello.
19:18How are you?
19:19Very well, thank you.
19:21Good to see you.
19:21Very well, thanks.
19:22What does it mean in 2025 to have a title?
19:24For me, it matters in the context of the estate and the house and the family.
19:27My husband, Sue Linton, the Marquis of Bath, and I run Longleat House.
19:32So Longleat House is a stately home.
19:34It was built in the Elizabethan times in 1580.
19:37It's very big.
19:39It's officially the biggest house in the UK.
19:45Longleat is a 10,000-acre estate with art and antiques, 44,000 books, a very huge collection of beautiful
19:51things.
19:51Longleat is our main home, but then the kids go to school in London now.
19:54So I'm half in London, half at Longleat, and no two days are the same.
19:58I wanted to go through a few things with you.
20:00Because also I wanted to go through what we're going to be doing in the upcoming summer parties in London.
20:05The Royal Academy.
20:06Yes.
20:07That's a definite.
20:07I've also accepted the Serpentine.
20:10Okay, I love.
20:10Yeah, that will be fun.
20:12My favourite one.
20:14And then the other thing is we're going to Rome with my Teresa.
20:18Fun.
20:19To run the estate costs a fortune.
20:21So my husband's grandfather had the foresight that there needed to be an income from somewhere, and he opened it
20:27to the public, which was incredibly controversial.
20:30And the Queen was very cross with him, because imagine having people running through your house.
20:34But he was a pioneer.
20:35You've also got to go to Africa.
20:37Yeah, that's important.
20:38But the children are coming on that one.
20:39So you're in and the kids are going to come.
20:40Great.
20:40And then he opened the first safari park in the world outside of Africa, and now Longley is one of
20:45the top 10% attractions in the world.
20:48It's incredibly public.
20:49We live in a goldfish bowl.
20:50A million people a year visit.
20:51So it's a very busy place.
20:54I'm excited for this.
20:56I think the rhinos are finding it too hot.
20:58I bet they are.
20:58Yeah.
20:59I'm finding it too hot.
21:00I did not think this would be my life at all in a million years.
21:05I was moving to Beverly Hills.
21:06I was not planning to be in Wiltshire.
21:09When you fall in love and you get engaged and you get married, that's what you're doing.
21:13Come on, Boon Boon.
21:13Up you come.
21:14Come on, then.
21:15Come on, then.
21:16Come on, Boon.
21:17Look who's here.
21:18Hello.
21:18Hello, Boon.
21:19I love doing a mud bath.
21:21Do you want some of this?
21:22Oh, there you go.
21:23Good girl, Boon.
21:24Is that nice?
21:26Oh, she responded.
21:27There's nothing that mud can't do.
21:28I do, I'm kidding.
21:30I feel sort of beholden to the house and the estate.
21:33I feel a lot of pressure to deliver it to a standard that I think it deserves to be at.
21:38You're going to sit down.
21:39Oh, well.
21:40You might get slashed a little bit.
21:41Get comfy.
21:42Roly-poly.
21:43Oh, look at this.
21:45It's like turning over in a massage.
21:46Yeah.
21:47This place has been there before me and will be there after me, and that's a legacy that
21:51I'm part of.
21:52You do your best during your generation to leave it in the best shape for the next people
21:56to have their turn.
21:58Good luck.
21:59There's no such thing as a normal day at Long Beach, is there?
22:04Go!
22:07Beb?
22:10Beb?
22:11Margot's coming to see you.
22:13Come down.
22:14I would say I have a unique flatmate.
22:17Hi, sweetie pie.
22:19And some worms.
22:20Hergity is such a diva.
22:22Yeah, it's like living with Mariah Carey.
22:24If Mariah Carey could fly.
22:25I mean, she's fabulous and feral.
22:31She's here!
22:32Come in.
22:34Hi, Ernie.
22:35It's your boyfriend.
22:37Hecate's in.
22:40I f***ing hate this f***ing bird.
22:42Nice light.
22:43Lots of greenery.
22:44Lots of greenery.
22:45Nice.
22:46And Avery.
22:47Madam.
22:47Oh, my God.
22:48You want to go upstairs?
22:49We'll talk to Ethel.
22:50Ah, Hecate.
22:51Don't be scared of Hecate.
22:52She's so nice.
22:53Martha is too pretty and young to be in her bird era.
22:58I've got to give you goggles.
23:00Okay.
23:01What might happen is if she's on your shoulder and your iris moves, if she sees something small move,
23:07her natural reflex is just to stick her beak in and see what it is.
23:09My eyes are, like, really valuable to me.
23:11I know, I know.
23:12And they're really pretty.
23:13Thanks.
23:14Bird era is for when you're, like, really old.
23:18And you can have a bird sh***ing on your back and sitting on your shoulder.
23:21You can't be in your 40s with a bird.
23:23Mm.
23:24You know, she demands three hot bars a day and a gin martini at six o'clock.
23:28She's not going to make it in the wild.
23:30Come and have tea.
23:32And Florentines.
23:33I'm actually really hungry.
23:35Okay, she's not here.
23:36I can take those off.
23:36You can take those off.
23:37I met Martha 20 years ago.
23:39So even then, Martha was everywhere in London, getting photographed by everyone at every party.
23:46There was no door shut to Martha.
23:47So you know I have no facial recognition.
23:50So I'm wandering around the Mick Jagger's Christmas party.
23:52I'm not even going to apologize.
23:53Oh my God, that's so cool.
23:54So I'm wandering around this party, sticking out my hand and saying, hi, I'm Martha.
23:59And this lovely old chap said, hello, I'm Paul.
24:02I said, how do you know Mick?
24:04Are you in music?
24:05He said, yeah.
24:06Trying to keep the conversation going.
24:08I said, oh, are you in production or a performer?
24:10He said, oh, I was in a band.
24:12I said, cool, which one?
24:14He said, the Beatles.
24:15Oh my God, Martha.
24:17So to prove that I'm an enormous Beatles fan, I then sing Imagine At Him, which someone
24:23pointed out to me afterwards is a John Lennon song after the Beatles broke up.
24:28There's probably loads of people I haven't recognized that were famous.
24:31I once didn't recognize my own sister for about 10 minutes.
24:34She'd cut her hair and so she looked different.
24:37So tell me, how are you feeling?
24:39I'm so happy here and my landlord is an actual angel.
24:42Yeah, it's a really nice area.
24:45You're right by the park.
24:46I mean, it's run down.
24:47I mean, look, you know, there's damp patches on the ceiling and it needs some love, but
24:51I'm going to give it a lick of paint and a little bit of love and just make it a
24:54little
24:54cozier.
24:55I am the eternal riches to rags and rags to riches story.
24:59I grew up in enormous privilege.
25:01I was then homeless.
25:03I was then discovered as a model by Vivian Westwood.
25:06I think I was really lucky that Vivian Westwood saw me because she's like an iconic British
25:10designer.
25:10I mean, to put out Vivian, there's no punk.
25:12There's no sex pistols.
25:13There's nothing.
25:13So I got a headhunter to model.
25:15That sort of brought me back into the society that I'd grown up in and I'm going to get
25:19rich again.
25:21So you're going to, you're happy to like be here for a little while.
25:24That's.
25:25I hope I'm going to be here for a little while.
25:26I got married.
25:28Didn't transpire to be a very happy marriage.
25:31And I eventually left with nothing.
25:34And then up again, went off and did the same thing with a different man.
25:40And now I'm determined not to do that again.
25:46Hegarty, can you come and see Margot?
25:48Where's she going?
25:49She is with me.
25:50She's scared of you.
25:52Is she?
25:52Because you're scared of her.
25:53She's not scary.
25:54I promise.
25:55Here, get some worms.
25:58Martha.
25:59She was.
26:01It's okay.
26:02It's okay.
26:03Relax.
26:04Relax.
26:05She's just getting to know you.
26:06She's not going to do anything horrid.
26:08But I can't look at her, right?
26:10She's fine.
26:11She's fine.
26:13Coming up on Ladies of London.
26:17Margot starts telling the party that you're a madam.
26:39Margot, hey.
26:40Lovely to meet you.
26:41Do you come on in.
26:42Hi, nice to meet you.
26:43Wow.
26:44It's shoes off.
26:45If that is possible.
26:47Shoes kind of make the outfit.
26:50Originally, the home was two flats.
26:52So they've completely redone all of this and opened this space out.
26:56Oh, my God.
26:57It's amazing.
27:00The luxury in the city is out of control.
27:03I'm an actress.
27:04And my entire career, I've worked in London.
27:06And I never worked in America.
27:08When I tried to work in L.A., no one knew me.
27:11People are like, oh, you're just starting your career at 40?
27:13That's good for you.
27:14And I'm like, oh, okay.
27:17Let me show you into the primary bedroom.
27:19Okay.
27:20How many are you?
27:21Three kids, one husband, and a nanny.
27:23That's okay.
27:24I mean, at least I'm not bringing my doodle.
27:26Yeah, yeah, yeah.
27:27It all started with Nine Songs.
27:29It was a tiny, independent film.
27:31Then it went to Cannes.
27:33The primary bathroom.
27:35Oh, my God.
27:35It's kind of porno.
27:37Yeah, yeah, yeah.
27:37Nine Songs was billed the most sexually explicit mainstream film in all of British history.
27:45Which I think is cool.
27:46Yeah.
27:48People were like, you're a whore.
27:50You're a porn star.
27:51And I was like, what?
27:52If you're an actress, you act.
27:54And if you're in a film where you're actually having sex, you're a porn star.
27:58But it was quite controversial, I think.
28:00I heard.
28:01Scandalous.
28:02Mmm.
28:03Might watch it.
28:05How many bedrooms are there?
28:06So you've got four bedrooms.
28:07I think this is too nice for my teenagers.
28:10We'll have to put them, like, in a shed in the back.
28:13Yeah.
28:13One fear that I have about being back here is that I have to relearn the city without late-night
28:19parties.
28:20Oh, my God.
28:21Look at that skylight.
28:22Yeah.
28:24I used to love to party in London.
28:27I got a lot of jobs from that.
28:30I made a lot of friends from that.
28:31But now I'm married with a daughter who's a toddler.
28:35And then I have my two step-sons from my husband's first marriage.
28:40You've got the brochure.
28:41You make books for each house?
28:43It's just a new era for me.
28:45I've changed.
28:46London's changed.
28:47I really need this to work.
28:50Because I need my career back.
28:53I need more.
28:55I'm looking all over the place.
28:57You know, this is a beautiful, beautiful place.
28:58Yeah, Notting Hill, I would say.
28:59But if you want a bit of touch of single life as well, you've still got that in Notting Hill,
29:03which I think is great.
29:04Oh, a little swinger head.
29:07To tease you, yeah.
29:07A little togetherness, apartness.
29:09Yeah, this sounds kind of pervy.
29:11I'm into it.
29:24I'm into it.
29:24I'm into it, Daddy.
29:31Hi, Mum.
29:32Hi, guys.
29:32How are you?
29:33Yeah, great.
29:34Good to see you.
29:35We did walk all the way home.
29:37Hi, Mimi.
29:37We grabbed a cab.
29:39How are you?
29:39Because Mimi was exhausted after guarding.
29:41Really well.
29:41Nice to see you.
29:42Good to see you.
29:43Come on in.
29:44That's what I'm making for you.
29:45Come on, guys.
29:45Your favourite.
29:46Are we taking shoes off?
29:47No.
29:48Stuart is the father of my twins.
29:50I was married to him for 23 years.
29:52Do you want to come in and eat with us?
29:54Yes, because I'd like to hear about Mimi having done her gardening today.
29:57I've got a little girl named Mimi.
29:59I have a son called Amadeus.
30:00They're amazing.
30:01They're both nine now.
30:03Amadeus is incredibly gregarious.
30:05Daddy's going to nick one of those.
30:05Daddy!
30:06Hey, hey.
30:07Daddy's privileged.
30:08I think he might be straight, and I'm really disappointed.
30:12I'm like, no!
30:14Mimi, how was your gardening class?
30:16Was it fun?
30:17Mimi dug up a worm, and she said, can I keep it as a pet?
30:21Ugh.
30:21Yeah.
30:22A pet worm?
30:23A pet worm.
30:24We'll get a pet worm for mummy.
30:26Ugh.
30:27Mimi's kind of on the spectrum.
30:29She's the kindest soul you've ever met.
30:32How have you been, Stuart?
30:34I've been good.
30:34I've been working.
30:35I've got 18,500 steps in today.
30:38Amadeus told me you have a new girlfriend that you met on the street yesterday.
30:41Yeah, I did.
30:42I do those kind of girlfriends on the street pretty much every day.
30:44They seem to be very friendly, yeah.
30:45They're called shop assistants.
30:47Kiki bugger.
30:48Sorry, Mimi.
30:49I met Stuart at a bar at the Delano Hotel in Miami, and then three weeks later he asked
30:55me to marry him.
30:57We had a huge wedding at Highclere Castle, and it was fabulous.
31:03This is looking good.
31:04Am I looking good?
31:05No.
31:06Nah.
31:06That's a bit, hey.
31:07But you're looking a lot less fat than you used to.
31:10We do have to bring that into the conversation soon.
31:12That's a good thing I left you, because now you're thin.
31:15When you were with me, you were fat.
31:17When I decided to have a child, Stuart and I were slightly estranged.
31:23We both kind of went our own ways a little bit.
31:26But I think I wanted a child, he wanted a child.
31:29And so we were kind of together for so long, we were like, let's just do it together.
31:32All right, Mimi, I'm going to give you a pasta that's very plain.
31:37You want it kind of plain?
31:38Yeah.
31:39Okay.
31:40Then two came by accident, and then we were separated for quite a few years.
31:45Stuart, are you eating pasta?
31:47Yes, please.
31:48That's all right.
31:48And then I kind of had them solo for four years, pretty much on my own.
31:54But now he's a little more involved.
31:56Have I been to a white party?
31:58I always say as long as you like, sweetheart.
31:59You know, he's very kind to the children, and he's very loving.
32:02And they really like him.
32:04Well, I'd say love him.
32:05So I'm trying to allow that relationship to flourish, regardless of any, you know, bad feelings.
32:13I taught these children really well when I was alone with them during lockdown, how to pour wine.
32:17It was a skill.
32:18It's a vital skill.
32:19Now.
32:20Look at that.
32:20He even twists the bottom.
32:22That's what I'm saying.
32:22Perfect.
32:22This is lockdown.
32:23Good boy, dude.
32:23You learned that during lockdown.
32:25Good boy, someone.
32:29Coming up on Ladies of London.
32:31What about the rumor?
32:33That she's a madam?
32:34Yeah.
32:34She's going to be upset about that.
32:37F***.
32:48So, people are on site this morning, right?
32:52About that.
32:52We have an issue with the decking.
32:54Okay.
32:54Basically, the levelers that we had ordered are not tall enough, and I'm seeing if they can rush up the
33:01right joists.
33:03That just annoys me because they were supposed to be here yesterday.
33:06I am an architect.
33:08I started a company when I was around 29.
33:11We're doing a collaboration with Venus Williams, which is a dear old friend of mine.
33:16She's going to come in.
33:17Yeah, of course.
33:17I have a team that's global.
33:19I work with contractors, developers, and funds.
33:23I just need everything to be a little bit more serious because I work in a man's world.
33:29And just really quick, did you rebook my nail appointment?
33:30So, they are getting back to me about today's wait list.
33:34Okay.
33:35Because they're booked up.
33:36I have, like, this one nail that's, like, about to, like, crack off.
33:41I basically never turn off.
33:43I find it hard to holiday.
33:45I am thinking about work pretty much all the time.
33:49My little man.
33:50I miss him so much.
33:51I saw that he's in the south of France.
33:53That's right.
33:54You're in the group family chat.
33:55I'm like...
34:00He has a beautiful son.
34:01His name is Wolfie.
34:03And Wolfie has a lovely stepmother.
34:06Her name is Beatrice York.
34:09You always hear those horror stories about your ex's new partners and not getting along.
34:14But she's so kind.
34:21I'm very lucky to have that sort of support and kindness.
34:27I miss him so I'm trying to demand him this weekend.
34:31Oh, I think I hear Micah.
34:35Hello.
34:36Hello.
34:37How are you?
34:38What?
34:39Hey, boo.
34:41Hi.
34:42How are you?
34:42Oh, my God.
34:43We literally matched.
34:45Great minds.
34:46I like your pants.
34:47Thanks.
34:48I love that we're matching.
34:49Totally insane.
34:50This is so crazy.
34:51Oh, my gosh.
34:52I miss you.
34:52How was the wedding?
34:53It was amazing.
34:54It was so good.
34:55I think I went to bed at 3 a.m. last night.
34:57And you look like a supermodel today.
34:59Well, because I have a makeup on.
35:00It looks really good.
35:01It looks really good.
35:03Everyone's obviously excited about your dinner.
35:05I'm going to a wedding in Tuscany.
35:08Oh, how fabulous.
35:09Where in Tuscany?
35:10I love it there.
35:11I literally don't even know.
35:13I gave the invite to my assistant.
35:16They planned everything.
35:17So it's somewhere in Tuscany.
35:19But because I'm not going to be here this weekend, I was going to host something.
35:24Well, consider me there.
35:25For the dinner.
35:26Yeah.
35:27What's the dress code?
35:28Cocktail-ish?
35:29Yeah.
35:30Dress nice.
35:30I mean, this group dresses.
35:35I'm here just to know.
35:37Hello, guys.
35:38Would you like a table?
35:39I think a seat at the bar.
35:40Please, have a seat.
35:41Whatever you like.
35:43Hello.
35:44Hello.
35:45Hello.
35:47Oh, my God.
35:48You look so gorgeous.
35:49Your outfit is so inspiring.
35:53Should we get a drink?
35:54Yes.
35:55What can I get you today?
35:56Do you have Runa?
35:56We do.
35:57We do have Blanc de Blanc.
35:58Would that be all right with you?
35:59I'm okay with Blanc de Blanc.
36:00Yeah.
36:01Perfect.
36:03So, my darlings, how is it settling into London?
36:05Yeah, it's good.
36:06I'm so happy to be back.
36:08I love my new house.
36:09I love the area.
36:10My daughter's school is very near.
36:12Everything feels easy.
36:14My relationship was so up and down, up and down, up and down.
36:17Yeah.
36:18That, honestly, it's like I overcomplicated my life.
36:21And the more I'm, like, making things easy, I feel it's really working for me.
36:26It's making me a happier person.
36:27Yeah, right?
36:28Yeah.
36:29My life is episodes, right?
36:31I've gone from, like, this glamorous supermodel in Milan signing for Victoria's Secret,
36:37deciding to keep her baby with her football player boyfriend, who then she married, who
36:44then she left, who then she met.
36:48The fun guy had all the red flags that totally ignored, who then I decided to have a child
36:54with within eight months.
36:56I've lived, like, five lives.
36:59Mark's lunch or drinks.
37:02It was beautiful.
37:03I had a really good time.
37:03What about the rumor?
37:05The cheese and rados?
37:06Yeah.
37:07I didn't even understand that at first.
37:09I thought, imagine it's like someone who's, like, high maintenance.
37:11Like a diva.
37:12Like a diva.
37:13Well, you can say that, but it's like the head of a brothel.
37:16Oh, my God.
37:17That's my fault.
37:18It was me that spread it.
37:20Also, you spread the rumor.
37:21I spread, well, I heard the rumor.
37:23I then spread the rumor further.
37:25But it's not a great rumor, though.
37:26Is it not a great rumor?
37:27No.
37:28Being a madam, that's, like, so destroyed.
37:30I thought it made her so much more interesting.
37:32She's going to be upset about that.
37:35S***.
37:36Of course, you missed Mark's party.
37:38And I really missed you because you're my partner in crime.
37:43Everyone was so wonderful.
37:45Oh, that's so nice.
37:46Like, fun, good vibes.
37:48May I open your beautiful gear?
37:50Oh, yes, you may.
37:52Oh, nothing I love more than a grape scissor.
37:55Yes.
37:56So then, this is the part that I was like, I have to tell you.
37:59Sure.
38:00In person.
38:00So we're in this space.
38:03Martha, she comes in.
38:04And she brings this friend, Margot.
38:07And Margot starts telling the party that she hears.
38:12I think she's a madam.
38:15That you're a madam.
38:30Margot starts telling the party that she hears that you're a madam.
38:39Which is ridiculous and absurd.
38:43You know what?
38:44That bothers me like none.
38:48Did she just hear what I said about her?
38:50Because it's not true.
38:52I went into, like, full, like, full protective mode instantly as I always would.
38:58She's a really good friend and could not be further from a madam.
39:03I felt like it was happening to me.
39:08Whatever.
39:09This is, like, so beneath me.
39:10I don't care.
39:12Why don't you care?
39:13I care.
39:14I care so much.
39:15Why don't you care?
39:17I have real gossip for you, though.
39:19What?
39:20When I was at the wedding.
39:22Yes.
39:23If one of our best friends was hurt that you're friends with her ex's new wife, you were talking
39:31about how great she was in a close friend group.
39:34I think that hurt her feelings.
39:35If I'm telling you something negative about you that I hear, then I'm gaslit into thinking now there's something wrong
39:45with me.
39:46And I'm like, what is going on?
39:50Um, you asked me for real gossip.
39:53I'm like, well, that is real.
39:54And I didn't ask you for real gossip.
39:56You told me you had real gossip for me.
39:58I have real gossip for you, though.
40:00What?
40:02Oh, yeah.
40:04Okay.
40:04Amazing.
40:05Well, I'm going to head out.
40:06But really, it's nothing, okay?
40:11With Dara, she's so nice.
40:14Yeah.
40:14I like her.
40:15Okay.
40:16But there's another side to her that's not honest.
40:19She's shady about Micah.
40:21How do you mean shady?
40:22So, it's like, we went to lunch with Lottie.
40:24So, me, Lottie, and Dara.
40:26And then we left, and then she was like, oh, my God, I met her the other day.
40:31And she was, like, so tacky, bringing these pink walkie-talkies to my house.
40:37Right.
40:38They have to be pink, though.
40:40Dara said, oh, she's embarrassing.
40:42She's kind of low class.
40:45She's tacky.
40:47She's faking her lifestyle.
40:49Her whole career, like, the etiquette was just like a myth, you know?
40:53She just came up with that.
40:54That's how she feels about her.
40:56But she said it after Lottie left, just to me.
41:00It was, like, a different tone.
41:02Yeah, like a whole different personality face.
41:05A whole different personality face.
41:08It was a lot of negative stuff about her.
41:11So, she's just really two-faced.
41:13So, and that's her friend for 20 years.
41:15And then at the party, Micah was totally having her back.
41:18Also, I love the sound of a pink walkie-talkie.
41:20That sounds like, for a walkie-talkie, it's super cool.
41:22No, it's the tackiness.
41:24I like tacky. It's cool.
41:26Yeah, she doesn't like tacky.
41:27I'm nervous about this dinner.
41:28Me too. So, I spoke to Mark, and I spoke to Lottie,
41:32and both of them was like, do not get involved.
41:35Like, stay out of it.
41:36Do you think I should tell her or not?
41:39If you want to get involved in other people's business,
41:41then you can, but I wouldn't be doing that.
41:44Just leave it.
41:45Yeah.
41:46There's no point getting involved.
41:47It's other people's issues.
41:49Well, I'd listen to them over me, darling.
41:51I mean...
41:54My life's a mess.
41:55I wouldn't take life advice from me.
42:04You put me in a really sh**y position.
42:07You know, we were talking about a friend.
42:10And he was like, oh, she's a bit cringe.
42:14I don't think that this conversation's necessary,
42:17and I love you.
42:17You know I do.
42:18I'm hurt.
42:19Can someone explain?
42:20I just got here.
42:22I think, Darren, I need to talk on the side.
42:26No.
42:31Tell the truth!
42:32Was he sad or was he not sad, Dara?
42:34I didn't say those things.
42:35You didn't say it, so I'm lying.
42:36I didn't say it, so I'm lying.
42:42I didn't say it, so I'm lying.
42:43I didn't say it, so I'm lying.
42:44You
