La Organización Mundial de la Salud (OMS) investiga un viaje de observación de aves realizado por una pareja neerlandesa en Uruguay, Chile y Argentina como posible origen del actual brote de hantavirus. El reporte señala que existen nueve casos detectados, cinco de ellos confirmados.
